New York Strip* Stuffed Mushrooms. Dry Hendricks martini with stuffed olives.

Had dinner for Father's Day. Was an incredible experience. I've dined at Ruth Chris before and this visit was exceptional. Service was top notch. Food was flawless. Highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms. New York strip cooked to perfection. Job well done Ruth Chris team in Richmond

My partner and I were celebrating an anniversary and decided to give Ruth's Chris a try. Upon entering the restaurant, we were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The restaurant was nice and spacious, and there was something playing on the piano in the room. Our waiters were very attentive and helpful throughout the whole dinner. We ordered: - Calamari: this was very good, the Thai chili sauce that accompanied the dish was delicious! - Cowboy Ribeye: this was ok, it was cooked perfectly to our preference but lacked flavor - Sizzling crab cakes: this was also just ok, they had a lot of lump crab meat in there but also lacked flavor - Mashed potatoes: this was very disappointing, there was no flavor to it at all and the potatoes were very running. The texture was as if they used instant potato mix and added too much water - mushrooms: this was okay, pretty standard - bread: this was provided to the table and was fine - the bread also lacked flavor The service was amazing, we were checked on very often but not too often that our conversation was disrupted. However, the food overall was very disappointing, especially for the price we paid for. I'm not sure if we will be back.

I ate at Ruth Chris tonight and it was terrible. I requested for my steak to have no charring and unfortunately had to send it back. The manager Cicily Bodiford was horrible. She came to my table being extremely rude and very disrespectful. She stated you have sent your steak back before and I explained I've been coming here weekly for over 8 years and yes if charred I do. I explained to her I've sent my steak back 3 times in time period. Unfortunately twice with her. This is the first thing she said when approaching my table. I was shocked. She stated perhaps we can't cook your steak for you. While I was speaking she cut me off and continued to try to discourage me from ever returning. She was better as a hostess and her promotion to a manager with no problem solving skills makes her terrible at her position. When asked who was the GM, she stated they wasn't here and then stated she didn't who that would be. She offer no other resources of a complaint but herself when she was the one I need to speak to someone about. When you are paying $330-400 on a meal weekly ant that location on Huguenot, you expect better customer service. She even complained about me to her staff. Terrible Manager.

They were prepared for the holiday rush tonight!!! Everything was perfect! The host was sweet! Our waiter was wonderful! It was packed but not crowed! The food was delicious! Everything was cooked just as we ordered. Everything was fresh! The shrimp cocktail, 10/10. The goat cheese and artichoke dip, 10/10. The filet, cooked medium... it was so tender and juicy.... 10/10. The crabcakes were AMAZING!!! The meat was lump and juicy! 10/10. My favorite dish of everything was the sweet potato casserole... that was like 1000000/10!!! I would come back for that alone! This was our first time here and they did it right! We will be back!

Shout out to Timothy last night!! He was amazing! It was my boyfriend's and I's first time there and he helped us with the menu and gave AMAZING recommendations! We had the porterhouse for two, lobster Mac and cheese, loaded baked potato, 2 chocolate explosions, and the Benton-lane. Everything tasted fabulous, so much flavor in everything. I can't wait to try it again and I hope to get Timothy again as my server!!!

We're regular Ruth's Chris diners and decided to visit this location for its historic setting. The former plantation house is beautiful and I would have loved to look around more. It is at the end of a strip mall, but that just means that the parking is convenient. (No need to valet!) Food was top notch quality, but the service left just a little to be desired. Just small things like not asking if we wanted another round of cocktails or offering coffee with our dessert.

I get the hype. We've been to Ruth's Chris a few times for a birthday dinner and an occasional happy hour but hadn't been for over a year. This time was for Valentine's Day. We typically order calamari as an appetizer but this time I wanted to try the barbecued shrimp it was amazing. I'm dying to know what was in that sauce! For dinner I ordered the stuffed chicken breast and my boyfriend ordered the New York strip. We shared asparagus and lobster Mac and cheese. I already can't wait until our next visit. Also would like to mention Ashley our server who was super nice and always on it with whatever we needed. The piano player and a very nice touch as well and added that final fine dining touch.

The butter was a major highlight. It was fresh, rich, and paired perfectly with my steak. Melted in my mouth, solid 8.8/10. 15 oz Seared Duck Breast paired with Au Poivre at the waitress' recommendation. An absolute fantastic choice, the portion was hearty and the duck was perfectly cooked. Extremely tender and moist, my husband loved it and I enjoyed it too even though I normally don't go for duck. He particularly enjoyed the fat cap. 8.65/10. Roasted Carrots with Cumin Honey & Toasted Pine Nuts. I feel like they were just starting to get the fundamentals right with this dish but ultimately missed the mark. The carrots themselves were delicious- well cooked, great ingredient sourcing. Seasoning left a lot to be desired. It would have benefited from at least double the cumin and some form of additional spice/depth- my pick would've been to add harissa & a pinch of sumac. They started out with all of the right elements, this just ended up falling flat. Still ate the entire thing- the toasted Pine Nuts were delicious 6/10. Steamed Broccoli, glazed with butter and parmesan cheese. Sourcing was again phenomenal on the veggies, the florets were very fresh. Slightly uneven steaming with some pieces much crunchier than others. Flavor was delicious. 7/10. Dessert: Classic Vanilla Creme Brulee with a beautiful little pistachio macaroon. This was surprisingly more flavorful than expected- on both the creme brulee & the macaroon. Given the subtler flavoring used at dinner, it was a pleasant surprise and I appreciated the commitment to the bit. Paired with their signature Vanilla Infused Espresso Martini which was perfectly balanced. 9/10. Not pictured: Caesar Salads- quite disappointing. Full length romaine lettuce that we then had to slice up ourselves. My lettuce was very wilted, husband's was slightly bitter. Maybe a bold take, but if I'm paying $14 for a salad, I shouldn't have to chop my own lettuce at the dinner table. Parmesan quality was good. 2/10. Ambiance: The restaurant itself was beautiful, decorations were a lovely nod to the 1870's decade including impressionist style paintings. Service: Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. No complaints!

I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I'll absolutely be back!

If I could I would have given it 4 1/2 stars, because it was good but not great but definitely well enough not to drop it to a 4. Let's start with the location: very nice and everything seems real clean and cared for. Even the men's room was decent at 6:00 pm at night. Now our server: Sidney was very attentive to us. She took very good care of us during our stay. Now the meal: Again it was good. The wifey had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. She tells me the sauce had a nice flavor but the chicken really had no flavor. Certainly not a Blackened flavor you would expect. The chicken itself was good and tender. As for me I had Shrimp and Grits. It also was good. It had onions and peppers in it and again the flavor of the onions and peppers just want there. Who knows. We also had the Brick Oven Brie. There was a really nice amount of Brie. So much that the toasted bread ran out way before the Brie. So as I said this was a good place and meal despite my small hits in this review. I firmly recommend this place because I do expect you to have a nice meal. Ps. To the owners: your link to your website doesn't work via Yelp. To potential customers: you will have to go your search engine and find the Charred site.

Their mash potatoes and Mac and cheese was the best. Collard green too also very good. Everyone was pretty much happy with their food. I tried the smoked half chicken, it was pretty flavorful. Perry's has one of the best pork chops I've ever experienced. Yes, "experienced," because it certainly was an experience. The chop is gigantic and certainly big enough for two people to share. I did not share lol. I definitely had leftovers. It was seasoned perfectly, it was juicy, it was just amazing. I'd go back in a heartbeat for the pork chop alone. We also indulged in a seafood tower. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere with great décor. That said, I don't think it's much of a family restaurant--it's better suited for adults. I also think the breakfast menu could use some updates. At most breakfast restaurants, you're able to substitute eggs for another side, but that wasn't an option here. I also found the breakfast menu a little confusing and think it could be organized more clearly. It looks like it would be more of an upscale place, but I would say it's a normal eatery that works well for a casual lunch or something a little nicer too. They offered a selection of lunch specials as well as their regular menu with appetizers, salads, subs, pasta, etc. After much deliberation (the server stopped by probably three times and we still weren't ready) I decided on the fettuccine with white clam sauce which came with some bread and butter, and soup or salad. I went with the soup of the day which was chicken orzo. My mom chose the lamb gyro sandwich and for her side she went with the veggie of the day which was roasted Brussels sprouts with honey. Overall I thought the food was good. It was definitely well-seasoned. The orzo in the soup was a little mushy for my preference, but the fettuccine was a good texture. The white clam sauce was loaded with clams and garlic. I really enjoyed my dish. My mom enjoyed her gyro sandwich, I did take a small taste of the lamb and it was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were probably my favorite of everything though. They were roasted perfectly, still a little firm with some crispier toastier leaves in the mix and a sweet glaze. The service was fine, I thought the server was very nice. She was most attentive when waiting for us to order, and at the end of our meal she boxed our food up for us which is always a nice touch. I would definitely eat here again, there are many more menu items I would love to try!
