I decided to update my review because Sergio's has become our favorite restaurant in the last year. We tend to go about once a week and have learned the items that are our favorites, the mozzarella logs, the pizza, the salads, especially the wedge salad, the gnocchi carbonara (my favorite) and the Sangria!! All superb! The waiter in the bar area is fabulous (so sorry I can't remember his name). It's always busy and he's always friendly and on point and he seems to be there every time we are there. We wonder if he's an owner because he obviously cares about the service. I'm glad we didn't give up on this place and kept giving them a chance. In a time when service and quality of food has declined at so many establishments it is a pleasure to come here where they obviously care about their customers and putting out quality food in a nice and clean environment. read more

Great food, good prices, and attentive wait staff. I go here often and never had a bad meal. Since I asked, they told me that everything there is made fresh (no frozen eggplant hockey pucks here) and you can tell the difference. Only gripe is there policy to make you wait outside. I was told my teenage son and I couldn't stand in the lobby while waiting for our table. The weather was relatively nice outside so it was not a big deal. Just curious if that policy is equally applied when the weather is less than stellar. Overall, definitely worth a trip. Go during their regular happy hour and you will be pleasantly surprised as it is a great value. read more

We went for dinner on a Wednesday night around 5:00 p.m. We were seated and quickly ordered our son's food. The kids mac and cheese was delicious! So good, in fact, that I wish they had an adult sized portion on the menu. We told our server, Chris, that it was our first time at the restaurant and asked for some food recommendations. He gave us a wide array of dishes from different parts of the menu that were his favorite. We settled on the Caprese appetizer, Greek spaghetti (add anchovies), and the Philly steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. Our food came out really quickly and a food runner delivered it. Unfortunately my husband's salad and bread hadn't appeared yet. His pasta was also missing the anchovies he requested. Chris swung by the table and said that he didn't realize our food had been delivered and he went back to get the missing items from my husband's meal. My cheese steak was just okay. Our service was really slow. Slow to the point where we were going to get dessert and just decided to skip it. In Chris's defense, I counted that he had five tables to include a large party of about six people in the back. My son had to use the restroom before we left and the bathrooms were closed. I didn't take him but my husband said there was only one anyway and it was out of order. That was kind of the cherry on top of a lengthy meal. Will we go back? I'm not sure. I have so many friends who love this place so I may give it another shot. I was underwhelmed. read more

The food here is always great and the staff is genuinely friendly in the dining room (The carry out crew rushes you out pretty quickly but they have a lot to manage) The toasted ravioli rocks and the mozzarella sticks are also amazing. I have never had a pasta dish here that wasn't fantastic but I also love the salads; Greek, Harvest Chicken and Wedge are my top three. If you go on the weekend be prepared to wait because they're a local favorite but it's worth the wait. Enjoy a beer in the bar until they call you. read more

If I can give a zero star, I would. If you order online through their website for delivery, it redirects you to GrubHub. GrubHub never delivered our pizza, after I received a text that it was delivered. We caught the driver later on camera sitting in our driveway for a few minutes & not once did the driver walk to or knock on our door, or give a call perhaps. I then called Sergio's to explain my situation, they gave me the drivers contact information for me to contact them. I left a message, and they never called me back. I then called back to Sergio's & asked to place another order, thinking that they would give me a replacement pizza, but no they intended to charge me an additional $30 for my pizza for pickup, no delivery. After talking to their incompetent manager on the phone, she didn't even know that their online website delivery redirects you to GrubHub. I will never order pizza from Sergio's again & I don't recommend that they use GrubHub service for ordering pizza online. I'm so disappointed in both companies for theft & poor customer service. read more

I had been to Sergio's a few years back and hadn't wished to go back and apparently it had been totally revamped since then because I decided to finally go back and WOW was not disappointed!! It seems the entire place was renovated from the decor to the menu and I'm excited to go back. We had the calamari (fresh and hot), my husband had the Greek Spaghetti and I had Rigatoni with chicken in white wine sauce. The salads were fresh and crispy so that was nice. The bread that was served is my only disappointment for the entire meal. It was cold on the inside and it tasted like it was from that morning or day before. However, we'll definitely be going back to try the pizza and other pasta dishes. Glad I decided to revisit!! Oh and our server, Faith, did an awesome job, her attentiveness was on point the entire meal. read more

Okay, Sergio's. I don't like leaving reviews unless a restaurant leaves an impression...and they did. Sergio's has the BEST mozzarella sticks around. So good. I would like to say I will share these, but I probably won't. They have the best pizza in the area, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean. I'm only leaving a 4 star because we did get spaghetti once that smelled strongly of seafood and we didn't order any. But definitely, go get some mozzarella sticks. read more

At 6pm last Saturday we decided to go to Sergio's thinking we'd have to wait a while. Surprisingly we were seated right away and were waited on within a minute. And it was still Happy Hour! Got our drinks and ordered appetizers. Drinks arrived within minutes and the appetizers followed soon after. NO pictures - sorry. The Bruschetta app was the best I've ever had, the spinach artichoke dip was very good. We then ordered entrees - Gnocchi alla Romana and Tortellini alla Romana. Both were excellent, especially the Tortellini. All the while we were e joying our meal and the very attentive service, we watched several tables receive the most scrumptious looking pizzas. Stopped here on the way out of town and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely tucked away in a little shopping center. We wouldn't have found it without yelp. Standard decor, clean, pleasant piped in classics (think music from the movie Goodfellas) and friendly staff. First the caprese - the tomatoes were fresh and the basil was plentiful. You would think a place that makes its own mozzarella sticks would go that extra step and make fresh mozzarella as well. Alas, straight out of the package. The balsamic reduction was yummy though. Hubby was going to get a side salad but they no longer serve French or thousand island dressing (still on the menu)? What's up with that? When the pizza came out we were a little unsure - the crust looked store bought. But oh MY was it good! Excellent sauce - the amount was just right. I hate places that over sauce their pizza. We ordered extra cheese and that's exactly what we got. They spare no expense with the luscious cheese! That's another pet peeve of mine - ordering extra cheese and not being able to tell. My husband and I play indoor soccer at XL Sports in Midlothian on the weekends and when we have early games, our team likes to head out to a local spot for dinner. This Saturday we tried Sergio's and we are glad we did. First off, we showed up with a large party without a reservation. They sat us within minutes of our arrival and the server greeted us within minutes. I should mention that service was great, very prompt the entire time. Sergio's only serves beer and wine, and they have a solid selection. I wasn't sure what I wanted so asked the server for a recommendation. She suggested and I tried a champagne cocktail with hibiscus. It was great! A little sweet for me, so one was enough. The beer drinkers in the crowd were pleased with the selection of craft beers. For food people ordered everything from pizza to pasta and salads. I had a Greek salad and requested grilled shrimp be added. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the salad was terrific...just what I wanted. My husband shared a meat lovers pizza with a few of the guys on the team and they ate every crumb...it was a hit. My daughters had pasta - pasta with vodka sauce and stuffed shells. The portions were huge and they were happy to bring home leftovers. I really enjoyed Sergio's and it will be added to our regular rotation. read more

I went here for dinner tonight as I was visiting my Aunt and Uncle for the weekend. Sergio's is this nice Italian restaurant that has been established since 1990. It's just the right side, and is linked in this plaza in a corner beside some other stores. The place was really busy and really popular which is ALWAYS a good sign. We went in and we're seated promptly. What's nice is you can see. The cooks making pizza dough and preparing Italian dishes as it's an open kitchen type of atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming which is always nice. The waiter was this high school/college student and was really nice and professional. It's nice to see young people responsible like that for a change these days. He took out drink orders and our appetizers! The appetizers were half off that night so that was perfect incentive to get two. We got mozzarella sticks and and loaded cheese fries. Both were very fresh and delicious! The fries were crispy and had more than enough cheese and bacon to account for it! It was a nice portion size as well! The mozzarella sticks were amazing as well! There looked liked mini blocks of lumber at a construction company and were filled with gooey cheese! The marinara sauce was homemade and very flavorful to say the least! For the main course I spilt and Large "American" pizza which was basically an Italian supreme pizza but homemade! All the ingredient were fresh and the sauce was perfect! The slices were a nice portion, and it was nice and hot. I only could eat four slices as I saved the other two for the night. I really enjoyed this place, and plan to come back the next time I visit! read more

It is very disappointing to leave a negative review for Sergios, as this has been a family favorite since I was a kid! Tonight I accidentally added the wrong item to an order and immediately noticed it as soon as I hit submit on the online order. I called the restaurant in less than 15 seconds after placing my order asking if they could please make it a pepperoni (it was a pizza, but I selected the wrong topping) and asked if they could please make what I meant to select and I would absolutely pay the difference (mind you, 15 seconds after the order was placed) and the employee told me she spoke to her manager and because the order was already prepped and in the oven, they couldn't add sauce or topping to it. FIFTEEN SECONDS!!!!!! I am extremely disappointed that the Manager on duty felt like a $15 pizza was worth losing a customer and her family who LOVED Sergios! Unfortunately, I wouldn't have put any stars after tonight's experience, but it is required to post my review. Another awesome meal here. We found this place a few years back and it's always a must when we come down to visit our friends a few times a year. The mozzarella sticks are the best ever, they are massive and fresh. The pizzas are great and I get the gnocchi carbonara witch is absolutely amazing. Tonight we had Elizabeth as our waitress and she is one of the best servers I had in years. Very knowledgeable and astute and on top of everything. My family and I dined at Sergio's in Brandermill and it was so delicious! We went on Saturday night at 7pm. We only had to wait about 10 minutes and they were busy! We were greeted by our server promptly and had our drinks in no time. We were given all the time we needed to make our decisions on what we wanted. My son got an Italian sub and fries, I got a Cesar salad and a chicken filly sub. My husband also got the chicken Philly sub with fries. We ordered a half pepperoni, half sausage pizza for my other son. All dishes were so good. The pizza was one of the best I have had. The restaurant had good atmosphere as well. The food here has always been good. During Covid they run low on a few select items but it's not frequent that this happens. The pick up staff are slammed on fridays when I usually go but they work quick picking orders and answering phones. I think people get annoyed but they really are doing a good job in my option. (They will have wait staff waiting around in the same area which I think annoys people waiting for pickup). They have a nice beer selection, wine was ok, no alcohol but there is a bar area. The prices went up on some items too much I think but the pizza price for the quality feels like a great deal. read more

I used to love Sergio's; I'm talking 'take out once every other week' love. It's just been frustrating for them to be declining. The last several times I've ordered, I've always been let down. One time, I branched out from my normal favorites and tried the lobster ravioli; there was so much garlic in the sauce (and I'm an Italian girl who bleeds garlic) that I could not eat it unless I scraped the sauce off. Another time, my order was messed up and not very fresh. And this past time, I recieved about half the amount of calamari that I usually do. I understand that they may need to up their prices due to inflation, but I'd rather they do that, than spending $13 on a small order of calamari. I may start ordering from there less often read more
