THE WORSE SEPHORA STORE I have been to in my entire 10 years shopping at Sephora. I love Sephora in general, I am the type of girl who easily spends 500 at Sephora if I just walk in, but THIS Sephora is just dreadfully an embarrassment to the Sephora reputation and the staff should just be removed entirely and reevaluated thoroughly. Never have I ever had to return an item to Sephora because of quality control. Even worse I had to go through this 2 twice!!! Who would have known buying a cheapie 15 dollar sample Bite duo Lipstick was going to start a nightmare? First time after moving to Glendale my sister and I went to the Sephora to just binge buy after moving she picked up a few things I just picked up 1 item...as mentioned above. Only to find that on the drive home I wanted to try the new lipstick on and found that there was only 1 cap on the two sided tube of lipstick. At first thought I said to myself, "This is strange...new budget design? No this isn't right this must just be a fluke" I went back the next day they asked for the receipt and my VIB card and giving me looks as if I was crazy. I know I was already pissed that this was already a first I ever had to return something at Sephora and had to go back the next day for this but I decided to pick up a Bobby Brown Gold lipstick while I was there (mind you this colour is amazing) went in line and showed them my case to have this Bite Duo exchanged but I didnt go in the store like an angry mad woman I maintained a pleasant smile to disguise my bitterness like a grown woman usually carries herself. The person helped me grabbed the replacement and opened it to check everything was fine she showed me there were 2 covers for each end and sent me on my way. Later I find out when I open this boxed packed casing again to find that one end of the tube of lipstick had been twisted all the way up plastered in the cap and placed back in the packaging. Of course AGAIN I HAD TO GO BACK to return this when I went back again this time I was given an attitude as if I am trying to rob them. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Why would I try to steal a 15 dollar item?? Hello?? Look at my account I have more than 10k Sephora points to redeem. They gave me so much background checking and IDing me like a criminal. After this issue was resolved I picked up this Dior mascara and asked about the Christian Dior Mascara sample that I could claim with my points if I could get one and the woman said that is our last one, I said I dont want this sample that everyone has tried on so I put it back. 2 Minutes later I see the next cashier giving a customer the sample of the same mascara I wanted!!! What???!!! So I went to THAT cashier and asked if there were anymore samples of that one. She replied "Oh of course we have P-L-E-N-T-Y" Yea thats what I thought, so I was lied to and then in her defense she has the nerve to say "Ohhh I thought you were talking about the one that is missing there in the display" Then what was in my hand??? I don't know if she was just dumb or just trying to irritate me even further. I HAVE NEVER EVER left a Sephora feeling as thought I was just leaving a Flea Market, being defeated by a sumo wrestler covered in sweat with the stench of BO left in my nose killing my braincells. read more

This is one of the worst sephora I've been to regarding customer service. EVERY time I come without makeup, funny enough, I get ignored. Really? I'm a VIB member and purchase from sephora regularly. Also, they forgot to give me a 20% off my purchase for being a VIB member after I showed them my membership card. Now I have to return another day to return and repurchase my items which would be an inconvenience for anyone. I always felt makeup was too expensive and even when it's worth it how often do people make purchases that hey regret, get tired of or just don't get use for? At first a very helpful lady I believe her name was Brandi helped me choose some skincare that was cruelty free and was very understanding and wonderful, after I got the skincare I went to go look at perfume and I asked for cruelty free brands of perfume, I always go for cruelty free because of my values and morals, and I just believe they are more natural any way, so after I asked the lady in the perfume department kind of scoffed at me so I shrugged it off,and as I was looking for perfume and testing the scents I noticed another worker had come over to that lady and they we're talking and I over heard her telling the other worker that I asked for cruelty free in a sort of mocking way and the other worker responded with saying "oh you know how this generation is they always are looking for attention",in which the lady agreed and giggled a bit,I personally felt insulted and felt very uncomfortable because I am extremely anti cruelty to everything and for them to mock me and say that I am seeking attention seriously enraged me though I am doing something ethical in avoiding pro cruelty products,and when I finished looking at perfumes I did not find anything that appealed to me and told the lady thank you and was about to leave when she suggested that I try more and I told her that I tried them all and as I was about to leave she said that she didn't really care about cruelty free products and that she was not raised like that and that brands that test on animals probably smell better which primarily makes absolutely no sense and secondly I did not need her opinion on it in conclusion I was very uncomfortable and felt that the blonde woman in the perfume department was quite disgusting with how she mocked and insulted me and my morals it truly did make me feel bad,but thank you Brandi for your wonderful help she's the only reason that I gave two stars. read more

I'm a huge fan of Sephora! But on this particular day I was hopping to find a new blush. So I nicely asked one of the sales associate if she could help me find a new blush, but instead she just gave a blush brush for me to try the blushes. I was kind of looking for the hands on help where they help you apply and see how to blush looks on your skin. Especially, since I don't know much about make up, the sales associate didn't help me at all! Terrible service. I'm disappointed because I just love Sephora. I had an encounter today with I am not even sure if he was a manager or supervisor. Not sure. Was so mad didn't even get the name. First he came up and said, his exact worlds:" I need you to pull up your mask to cover your nose." I didn't say anything and covered it. I have a medical condition and I cannot breath if my nose is closed. I almost fainted once. I got what I needed and was getting in line to pay. When he approached me again and said. I need you to close your nose. First of all, I am not your kid. I am a customer and you need to address me with respect. You can say nicely. I told him I can't. I have a condition, where he told me that I need to leave then. And come back on Monday. I don't even know why? But this sounds like discrimination big time. Out of respect of other people I wear the mask which I can skip due to my condition. And stores need to understand that even the mandate order states that people with medical condition should not wear masks. This person is arrogant, ignorant and rude. He should not work with people and take that tone. So disappointed. This location is waiting to be sued over this. read more

I went to return an item and was unaware that their return policy changed to 30 days. The Sales girl Claudia, she told me that I would receive store credit due to this change. As I pointed out that this was not on my receipt and wanted it refunded to my credit card, she kindly said she would talk to her manager to override it. She was very smiley and helpful. I usually come here for a couple of items..lip liner, eye liner, and brow pencil. Every time I visit, I always find someone who is willing to help me find what I am looking for. I signed up for the rewards card, and enjoy the freebies I get when I accumulate enough points or when my birthday comes around. I will return very soon, thinking of trying a new scent. read more

I love this Sephora. Technically, the Hollywood & Highland location is the closest, and the one at The Grove is a bit bigger, but for service, you can't beat this outpost of the chain. Matt is a terrific SA, I'd learned that a staple item in my skin are regimen had been discontinued and Matt took the time to learn about everything from my skin type to the texture I preferred in a product and he matched me with a really great new item! Tim is great too; he provides such efficient and friendly service consistently. I'm really happy to drive the extra 10min or so out of my way. The only possible way this location could get better if it were as big as a flagship, otherwise--as good as it gets! read more

Sephora is ok, and I'll give them three stars because of their vast selection of products, several of which are exclusive to the store and unavailable for purchase elsewhere. I do my own research on beauty products I'm interested in, so I rarely go in without a specific item in mind, but on occasions that I have, I've been mostly underwhelmed by the product knowledge demonstrated by their sales associates. I went in to buy a Clarisonic after several months of internal conflict - I'm exaggerating a bit with the verbiage, but it's expensive, and I didn't want to buy it without due diligence. When I asked a sales associate about the difference between two different units with an identical price point, she basically read me what the box said and told me that the two units were the same (and would therefore serve the same purpose). I could have done the reading on my own, and after some slightly more detailed reading, I figured out that the second product was not at all what I was looking for. For the amount of money I planned on (and ended up) spending, I would hope that they would train their employees to give more detailed and informed answers when faced with customer inquiries. read more

I love this Sephora. It's one of my favorites. I really love their customer service. employees are attentive and nice. I recently had to return a facial cleanser because it dried out my sensitive skin. The cashier was completely understanding and had someone bring me two different facial cleansers to try out on my own. They use to be inside the galleria before they moved to this bigger, better location. I love that Sephora carries "Make-Up Forever". It's the only foundation I use. The line here isn't too bad. I was in the search for a good eye cream and was scoping out their skincare section to far back left wall. Had no idea what I was looking for. I had heard of several brands that were supposed to be pretty good like the Origins Ginzeng eye cream. Other than that I had no idea what I was looking for. All the products pretty much say they do the same thing. Guess you don't really know until you try it. I was happy an employee assisted me with my search. She actually recommended a line that she used herself called the Soap & Glory. It's a new London brand that Sephora just started carrying. Apparently, it is one of their most popular brands in London right now. Their price is reasonable. Basically it does everything in one. It lifts, diminishes dark circles and plumps the skin. It also promotes circulation around the eyes. Sounded great to me. She recommended the serum and eye cream, but I decided to just try the eye cream for now ($30). Just see how effective it was. Been using it for a few days now and I am very happy at how refreshed my eyes seem to look so far! read more

I was initially skeptical about going to this Sephora based off of the negative reviews, but I didn't want to spend 25$ going to Universal Citywalk to get makeup, so ended up coming here anyway. First off, I was very surprised about how many people they have working there. Other reviews made it seem like this place was desolate. The second thing was there was someone right away that noticed I was having a little bit of trouble finding my right Fenty shade (switching over), but Sara was so nice and took the time to find my right shade and even suggesting different brands based off of my skin type. Either way, this place was full of people who could help, and Sara is really the best person to go to if you have any questions. Hands down 5 read more

They were very friendly and helpful without being pushy. I was looking for a tinted moisturizer... the girl who helped me (Jessie?) had me try on a few different varieties (Laura Mercier or whatever that fancy shmancy one is, the Sephora Brand, and some other stuff). Turns out the Sephora brand was the best on my skin and half the price of the fancy one. She also helped me pick out an eyelash curler and I was set. When they didn't have the foundation I was looking for, she didn't try to push me into purchasing another one. She smiled and said, we'll get that next time. It was a great relief to not be pushed into buying things which is what a pushover like myself dreads about cosmetic stores and counters. read more

My experience at the Sephora was nothing but absolutely perfect. I was helped out by Elizabeth and boy did she know her stuff she was so helpful and so genuine wasn't just there to sell me a product but she actually educated me on my skin type and the steps I needed to take to take care of my skin she was so helpful and informative and it was the best experience I've ever had at a Sephora. I am new to Sephora and prior to Sephora, I was an avid shopper at Ulta. Wow, what a difference!! I bought $200 worth of skincare and my skin was ok for about a month but then my skin freaked out. I took everything back and the cashier took everything back, damaged it out, and referred me to a few new items! I am so impressed with their return policy & customer service! I absolutely love Sephora in general. I met Nicole, who is a beauty consultant and she is one of the most genuinely helpful people I have ever met. She is very knowledgeable about the products and about skin and makeup all together. She isn't pushy at all. She is very honest; I'd be lost in makeup land without her (: Nicole makes my experience a 5 star experience, but when she isn't there, it's about a 3 star experience. Most employeess are friendly and relatively knowledgeable, but I've hit some roadblocks... I've seen people with not so great makeup on who talk down to me and assume I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm actually quite knowledgeable but we all need a little help and guidence occassionally... For example, if you have clumpy taranchula eyelashes, I'm not going to use the mascara you recomended, lol. This is relatively rare, but had to mention it... Though this place is new and pretty stocked, the don't have the tiny sized Perfekt primers that just about every other store carries.
