I have come to this Sephora many times before and have had mediocre/ok customer service. Today I actually had excellent customer service -- I had a complimentary mini facial done by Taylor (she told me she's usually at the Sherman oaks store). She was super informative, professional, and sweet. Not pushy to purchase anything at all. She shared skincare tips and lots of good education on the products she used on me, and I ended up purchasing one and sampling a few of the others. She made my day! Thanks Taylor! read more

She's bright and her sense of humor rubs onto you and you can't help but laugh and feel happy. Very disappointed with how the childish man was eying our every move acting like he was fixing every product we got a hold of once we walked to the next aisle. I came in here knowing what I already want near closing time and no one was around to offer me help when I needed assistance with checking stock for me since the product in a specific color I wanted wasn't available on the floor (but it was displayed) seeing how lazy these people were (saw two workers just chatting on the beauty bar and literally stare for a full min to see they even give a look around the store that I look like a weirdo creep) I literally went to the greeter and asked to send help. She was nice enough to assist me but she had attitude. To avoid this nuisance, call in advance to check if items are available. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Man I feel like a chump. I walked into this store needing help (girl to girl) with finding a new foundation. A sales girl, I think her name was molly or something with an m, quickly pounced on me cuz she noticed I was looking around and I asked her for help. They had this whole "hourglass" display set up and I said I was looking for a new foundation and she said oh girl you NEED hour glass. And went on about it for a few minutes but never asked me about my skin or what kind of coverage I liked. I decided to give it a chance because the color seemed to look good on my wrist. I bought the primer with it too. The primer was way better than the foundation and now I feel like I wasted $60 on this awful dry foundation because she got a commission on pushing this product that day. I will not be going back to Sephora. I didn't realize it was all based on whatever product the employees get paid to push and not about actually helping a girl who needs help with make up. I'm really sad and I feel like I got bullied into buying something I didn't want because she swore it was the best. read more

Usually I don't ask the sales associates there ANYTHING unless I don't know anything about a product or the difference about something. Because they all look busy and i feel like they will not make time for me or even have the patience. So, I dont bother them. I hate going to sephora, because the people who work there are so rude and dismissive sometimes. I literally just get mascara and eyebrow pencil and I try to get out of there as soon as possible because it can get crazzzyyy. So, I understand why. But today, I got my eyebrow pencil and mascara, but i wanted to know the difference between the Anastasia Brow Wiz and the more angled eyebrow pencil next to it. And it was not busy whatsoever. This asian girl with BRIGHT BLUE HAIR offered me a bag but I said, "No thank you" then I was about to ask her something RIGHT AFTER I said that and walked away. Then I said, " Oh okay bye." With her bitchy ass attitude, "Did you say something?" with her pointer finger up. And I tried so hard not to say something back, but I just asked her what the difference between the eye brow pencils was and she was NOT informative what so ever. So, I just gave up. Well I'm not sure what is is about me that makes 99% of the employees as this place completely ignore me. I'm not a teenager in there looking for freebies, in fact I've never asked for a sample, I usually buy a full size product, or products. Yet I still have to hunt down staff like I'm on safari when I need assistance. The cashiers are usually friendly to me because I'm spending money (sometimes a lot!) there, but to the floor staff I'm completely invisible! Got the new Nars cheek pallet, and the too faced holiday collection set yesterday. Love love love! Nars never seem to disappoint. Too faced pallet is wonderful. The eye shadow colors are super pigmented. They work much better if you put them on with your fingers and only after blend with a brush. When you place the eye shadow on with your finger the heat from your finger makes the eye shadow warm and easier to apply without fall out. Blending with a brush after will be much easier. I'm very happy with what I got. I am very happy with the amount of supplies this location stock. read more

Came in with my grandma to get help matching foundations and powders to her skin tone. The three sales women that helped us were incredibly rude and mean to my poor grandma. One was even a manager! My grandma doesn't speak English which seemed to make the sales women incredibly annoyed. Usually I love coming to sephora but this last experience wasn't the best, as soon as I entered with my cousin they followed us as if we were going to steal. As well questioning my cousin if she was going to buy a lipstick she was barley touching. I was going to by two new liners but after I saw how this one worker particularly kept eyeing us and following us I felt uncomfortable able and didn't want to by anything . As soon as it told my cousin to return my basket with the make up the lady started to question her on why we weren't buying any more and honestly I didn't want to buy because of how horrible it was for just the judgement from the beginning. And she wasn't very helpful either. Start treating your customers better and with respect don't assume the worst. read more

Im there because I want to blast a good amount of money on make up and perfume....not to be treated like crap by a little sad employee who thinks she is superior than the customers just because she works there. Disappointing service - couldn't get anyone to help me with finding a product I had intentionally planned to make a purchase at Sephora hoping to get assistance in finding a concealer as i wasn't sure what brand to buy and was open to trying new ones. The employees (on this particular day, granted) could not be less interested in helping customers. No one offered to help me find anything in the thirty minutes spent trying samples. Several employees looked at right me and kept rolling along gossiping to each other. One employee walked up to the mirror in the middle of the store THREE times to check out her own makeup and fluff her hair then would rush off the minute I made eye contact. At one point I stood in the middle of the store just looking around for any employee, even if i had to tackle one. There were other customers looking around for help but none was to be found. Left without purchasing anything and figured I would just go somewhere else. I shouldn't have to work that hard to give someone my money. read more

Very clean location.. Sometimes dirty with trash cans filled with tissue paper but you can blame them.. Most employees always are there helping and answering all your questions.. They have a bonus point program where you get points per purchases. Go in and play and always ask for a sample if you can decide on what to get. read more

Came in for a quick exchange for a product. Stood next to the cash register to ask for help. There was four girls behind the registers. Only one working the cash register. The cashier told me she'll be right with me. The staff that saw and heard this whole interaction finally decided she'll help me out but made it a point to point out that she wasn't sure if I needed help or not since I wasn't standing in the "correct waiting line." This other staff decided to make fun of the situation by repeatedly saying,"how mean of us to make you wait." Felt like it was really bitchy behavior. I did stood there for close to 10 minutes. Just really odd behavior going on. Maybe it was due to the fact they just opened for an hour and they haven't gotten in the groove yet. Who knows ...but still bad service. There was no one in line. This store is crazy busy always but somehow my girl always leaves satisfied and happy! The workers really do try hard to get to every client and they love our pets. I do feel bad for what some of the employees have to deal with. Once my girl and I were shopping and we witnessed a customer being so rude towards the sales associate. Props to the girl for keeping her patience. The line is almost always long but the people at the registers get it down quickly. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this store!!!! I don't know how someone can not?!? They have the best stuff the workers are all so helpful and nice and even when it's packed and the line is super long it goes so fast that it doesn't seem long at all!!! Not the best location I've been too since they were packed with customers. They don't have the time to help you even when you chase them down to ask for things. My friends and I ended up leaving here and just going across the street to the sephora inside JCpenny and the ladies( Liz and Cleo) who worked there were so much more helpful and actually took cared of us and gave us tips and advice on what products to use according to our skin types and what not. read more

Called today to make sure I could return Christmas gift to this store. In fact, I just wanted to exchange it. The person on the phone said it would be perfectly fine because of their holiday policy. So I packed up my kid and my husband and headed over to make the return/exchange. As soon as I came into the store to make the exchange I asked a salesperson to help me. Danny, the manager came over and said I could not exchange the product because the price was blacked out. Not the upc barcode, but the actual price. He said it is not resell-able. Of course the price was blacked out, it's a Christmas gift. Anyway, I told him that the person on the phone didn't mention that it had to be in sellable condition and could they make an exception because I just wanted to exchange the product. He said no and walked away. Didn't even try to come up with a solution for me or keep my business. So disappointed. I guess this is one of the reasons why this Sephora has such poor reviews. I just got back from the land of gold, glitter, sequins, Mercedes, BMW's & fake snow- Yes, The Glendale Galleria & The Americana. Very deflating experience at Sephora, definitely not like it used to be. After walking thru the entire store and just about to leave(like a 15 minute walk-thru) a "Cast Member" finally said Hello and if I needed help. I did have questions, the "Cast Member" didn't have any creativity, or knowledge of what to show me. I knew more, partly from working their in the past and just having a general knowledge of what a sephora carries. I guess I just might write some old co-workers with my questions. This sephora is pretty inconvenient to get to since it is in the americana and it is seriously the highest volume sephora ive been to. Ive had such terrible customer service here by such rude & snooty employees. I went in to restock on a powder foundation I liked. The sephora branded powder foundation got reformulated, so I got an employees attention to get her help with which one to go with since they had a new shade range. She was extremely short with me and told me to go with the same number I was previously. It was the wrong shade completely. Asked another employee for an opinion on what other specific brand to try that was somewhat similar to their old foundation since no shade really matched me and she gave me "uh, I guess whatever one you want to try." And would not look me in the eye. She seemed totally intrigued with whatever one of her co workers was doing behind me and it was very obvious she was not listening to me and just didnt want to help. I just ended picking something myself which was fine. The cashiers are usually much nicer ive noticed. I went in for a facial and I got around 10 mins before my appointment but I ended waiting 30 mins because they the associate had not arrived yet. I was patient, and once she got there she was talking to the other associates. She didn't tell me what products she was putting on nor did she talk to me. I understand it's a busy store but while she was doing my facial she was trying to help everyone else. Once I finished I went to look for some foundation, I asked an associate for help and she gave me 10 secs of her time and said this shade is ur color. I eventually went to ask someone else for help and they said they would send someone over but they never did. I had to ask 4 people for help before someone actually did. all they do is stand around talking to each other. This store has horrible customer service. read more

I love love love this Sephora. Sure, it doesn't always carry the lines that I want but everyone is super duper friendly. Just last week I went in freaking out because they were all sold out of my foundation on the website. And they were sold out in store, too! But a lady came up and asked if she could help me and when I managed to choke out my dilemma she explained to me that no, they weren't canceling the product. They were merely repackaging it, and the entire line will be restocked in a few weeks. Right now they're just clearing out what they have to make room for the new stuff. She asked what shade I am and I told her, as well as letting her know my shade was sold out. However, she said she'd check the drawers just in case. Turns out, there were 2 left! And on top of that, they were on sale for $9 down from $22! Yay! A+ for customer service at this store. read more
