I'm shocked this Sephora only has 3 stars! I love this location! It's always clean and organized, and the employees have always been so nice whenever I've gone in (which is more often than I care to admit ). I'm always greeted by an employee whenever I enter or exit the store, and they've always been eager to assist me whenever I have questions or need help with any of their products. They're also cool about leaving me alone to wander the store (and swatch the sh*t out of my hands and arms) and not hover-around me trying push product or make a sale (because seriously, I HATE that...). I LOVED Guillermo!! He's sooooo amazing! He's super knowledgeable and customer friendly! We came in with my mom and my sister in law to help my 60 year old mother and we were looking for something without parabens and animal friendly.. He knew exactly what to help and my mother didn't speak English very well and he was EXTREMELY helpful and bilingual. This store is actually the reason I switched to Ulta. There are some of the pushiest salespeople I've ever encountered. I went in to look for a foundation. Instead of being able to look around, a lady with a heavy accent almost demanded that she pick the foundation. Never even tried it on my face until I asked if I could at least test it in my jaw line. She did a quick swipe, said it was perfect but informed me that their new computer technology could pick the color so there was no need to try it on. She then took the foundation and items I was purchasing and went straight to the checkout. All the while she had a snooty and almost demeaning tone to her voice. I wasn't convinced that the foundation she chose was the one I wanted. As I approached the checkout it suddenly dawned on me that I did not have to purchase anything in here if I didn't want to. I reminded myself that this was the third time in a row that I had a bad experience in this store. I turned around and walked out. Not going back here, ever! I went into Sephora and ordered this. (Not in stock) The price was so close to the Amazon order I did months ago that I did not pay attention to the size. I said cancel it, and they didn't. It didn't even ship for another couple of days! I paid more for 1.6 Oz than for a 3.3 Oz! Not even half the size as my Amazon order! I will never ever do business with them again!. Never ever! I guarantee you will find MUCH BETTER prices elsewhere! read more

First time shopping here and I realize this store should come with a disclaimer: there's no way to exit without dropping $200! This is a very large location with all the bells and whistles. I found nearly everything I was looking for from several brands of designer makeup lines and fragrances. The staff was not overly pushy, which I appreciate. There's nothing I detest more than pushy sales staff but the Sephora crew let me poke around the store unbothered but were happy to answer questions when I had them. The prices are a bit higher than you can get the same items online, but Sephora is great for a visit when you want to try an item in person. Each item has a sample so you can try it out before you buy, which I really appreciate. They also have a free club card so if you plan to be a regular, sign up for discounts and specials. read more

Some of the employees can be snoodie. Majority are really nice and friendly. The manager knows me by name! Seems like the younger girls are rude, not all but some. I would be careful, you never know when a secret shopper will come in... I was in last week and I returned three lip sticks because I found a better product. The young girl handled my account and was very pleasant, super sweet and when she found out the eye liner I wanted was out of stock she immediately ordered online for me and I did not pay for shipping. She never got frustrated, if she did she never let it show. I have gone in looking rough and while other employees passed me after that look others have been very helpful. I think no matter where you go someone will always have bad customer service. No mean girls will keep me out of this store. read more

I've received nothing but superb customer service from everyone here. Always friendly and willing to help. I docked one star bc they always match my foundation wrong. Always too dark for my skin tone. I'm Hispanic on the light medium side and always walk out looking like an umpa lumpa. But other than that, always well taken care of. Maria is very knowledgeable when it comes to skin care and educated me on my skin care needs and they've worked amazingly thus far! read more

My wife stopped by the store in Georgetown so that she could pick up some mascara. The first young lady was very helpful and directed us to the the product and explained all of their options. She then directed us to the pay counter. While waiting for the customer in front of us to finish, the employee at the register abruptly looked up and in a loud and quite rude tone informed my wife that the line started two rows over. First, there was no line and second, her tone was condescending and rude! I told my wife that all they had to provide us was service and this lady failed big time!! We left the item and the store and needless to say we won't be back! read more

Spending my money at sephora is my favorite way to spend money! I love quality makeup and the large selection! Now, this isn't my favorite sephora, as sometimes the customer service is hit or miss. But I am giving it 5 stars for the makeup artist man who hooked me up with a bunch of samples of foundation. I told him that I have never gotten a sample at sephora and he gave me 5 different foundations to try! I think his name was Travis? I know he told me but I forgot. So I drove a good hour away from home to visit this store and I was not disappointed. I walked in this store with only the vaguest idea of what I wanted: to streamline my current face process. The female I was with helped me pick out a new Foundation / moisturizer mixed. A tinted moisturizer. The ladies there were so helpful that I thought I'd go ahead and shop for all of my other needs. I was need of a pallet and a lip color. While they did not help much with my lips selection because I didn't necessarily need it , they only helped me find the equipment to try on different colors. Extremely helpful. The ladies did work with me in picking out a color palette for my eyeshadows. Without complaining and being extremely friendly the makeup artist applied the palette to my eyes and took the time to explain what exactly she did. I cannot say how friendly the employees at this location are. It was actually kind of creepy but creepy in a good way. This is my first time going into a Sephora and I will definitely return here for all of my makeup needs. The lighting in there was spectacular unlike other makeup stores where you have to kind of guess what you would look like in natural lighting. If there were one closer to my home I would live there. read more

First time to this location and last. I had been walking around the store for a while (all the time not being offered assistance by anyone) and I approached two employees who were standing around talking. I said "hi, excuse me" and they both seemed annoyed that I interrupted their chatting and one of them even gave me a nasty look. I asked for a recommendation on a foundation for oily skin and the one who gave me the rude look pointed to a foundation collection in front of her, didn't say a word, then turned away from me. I stood there in shock. Then she said to the other girl, "do you wanna do this?" and then walked off. So the other girl proceeds to chat up the foundation and swatched me with the wrong color (she refused to listen to me that I'm warm tone) and then asked me about if I use primer. Yes and I told her I was happy with mine and wanted just foundation. To which she replied "no, you need to come with me" ...then squirts two different primers on my hand, one of which I have and don't like and when I told her that she gave me a look like I was crazy and "um, why not? This is amazing primer". Then the other primer began to ball up on my hand and come off. And her response was "ugh, are you dry? Are you peeling?" Um. No. That's very obviously the primer. To which she begins to interrogate (yeah, seriously) about my knowledge and ability to exfoliate.... First, I'm not a dimwit, yes I exfoliate, second, what does that have to do with primer balling up on the back of my hand?! Then she makes me follow her to skincare all the while ignoring my telling her I have a skincare system from my DERMATOLOGIST and then after she puts scrubbing cleanser on my hand and says "see, that's beads, that exfoliates" then begins to ARGUE with me about what my dermatologist has told me to do. I finally cut her off and say I just want foundation, my skin is fine and I'm happy with my routine. Seriously, what an unpleasant experience. read more

The girls working there are a complete joke. Asked to be color matched for a foundation and the girl gave me a shade that was about 4 shades to light. When asking for a darker shade because I didn't like it she just fought with me telling me to add bronzers and powers to darken it up. On top of that I had to wait about 20min to be matched and when she got to me she was rushing. I was very unhappy and I felt I didn't receive good customer service. When I didn't buy the product she got an attitude and said I waisted her time. I'm sorry but I'm not going to buy a product that doesn't match my skin. The Barton Creek and Domain locations are a lot better and the girls working are very helpful and actually listen to what you are looking for. read more

Moved here from LA where Sephora is known for good customer service. However this location has ZERO customer service. I have shopped there twice and both times there were 6 or so sales girls who were "busy" comparing shoes and chatting about personal life without so much as a "welcome to Sephora" for paying customers. The 2nd time I tried to exchange a gift, again no welcome and no assistance. Luckily I knew where the register was. The cashier took my exchange item and said go get what you want instead of assisting me with the exchange. If she was wise she would have taken me to the perfume area where I would have made additional purchases. Finally I spoke to the manager Kasey. I told her what had happened and that the problem was either poor management or poor employees. Let's see what will improve first: management or employees. My bottom line is no more shopping at Georgetown Sephora. read more

Every time I come here I am greeted right away, they are always so helpful with suggesting products I should try. I sometimes feel obligated to buy what they suggest because they stand there for a while after suggesting it.. I've left unhappy with some products sometimes but always end up using them and loving them. I've now grown a liking to several products that I specifically go in for and I'm still always asked if I need help. Prices are sometimes steep for certain products but you get what you pay for. I love the customer service aspect of this store. They always have a smile on their face and in their voice like they really love what they do. I'm glad that they notice me and offer me help because honestly it is hard to find these days. read more

I like Sephora, and a lot of their products, even though they are expensive. I was shopping for something nice for a birthday gift for my sister. I know that she likes Sephora, and there is one locally, so I stopped in after work. I walked in, and was not greeted. Ok so they must be busy. I look around and see only 3 customers other than myself in the store. okay.... Now I do not like to be hounded, and I can shop without assistance and most certainly do not need anyone to hold my hand or kiss my ass or suggest products to me. I do however, like to be acknowledged. Even if it is just a smile or nod, I work retail too and know that it can get busy and overwhelming even if it "looks" like it is not busy. I get it. I made several circles throughout the store and not one person even looked at me. One guy was behind the register checking one customer out (no line) One was doing make-up on another customer. There was one other customer also being ignored. I saw 2 other "employees" handling/stocking merchandise, or rotating it or something. They kept looking at a clip board and making notes and walking around not really doing anything. They were not in "uniform" so maybe they were a vendor or something. Even at other stores a vendor had at least said "hi" to me. I was in the store for about 15 minutes and no one even looked at me. I can shop on-line and get better interaction. read more

This sephora is the closest free standing one to me. I like it but the cashiers are always a bit rude when I return something that didn't work for me. I've had this happen at all Sephoras so it should probably be looked into. Overall, the customer service is good and i've always been greeted and offered help. Beware: if you dont have makeup on when you come here, they'll probably wont offer you assistance. read more

I shop at Sephora at Wolfe Ranch when I need what I call, serious makeup products. I have ALWAYS gotten A+ service by the sales associates. Recently an associate demonstrated the Temptu airbrush makeup system. The associate was patient, did an excellent job on my makeover, and acted as though she was more than happy to help me. I bought the Temptu (expensive, but I'm worth it) and will continue to shop at Sephora. Great store! read more

The entire staff at this location is fabulous! They always help me find what I need and if they are out of anything they offer to have it shipped to me. I shop here frequently and have yet to have a bad experience. They don't hesitate to make me custom samples if there is something I want to try and make returns hassle free. If you're wanting to return a product at this location get ready for some attitude. I had bought foundation a couple of days ago because an associate at this Sephora recommended it. I tried it and it looked horrible after not even two hours. I go back to return it and the woman that greeted me had some serious attitude towards me when I said I wanted to do a return. She asked me why I didn't like it and I told her what was happening when I used it. Then she takes my product and leaves. She sent another associate to help me find something else but at this point I just wanted to do my return. I go to try and find the woman that greeted me and she tells me my product is at the counter, but it was almost as if I was bothering her. She was talking to her other coworkers. I do my return and the associate didn't say a word to me and I'm definitely not a customer who demands attention. I'd rather drive another hour for better service than come back here. BUT! The woman that set me up with the foundation originally was great! I wish I could remember her name. She was so friendly and very informative. So far so good- the only drawbacks to this store are it's just waay too warm in there- please use the air conditioning- and it's highly perfumed- which I'm sure wouldn't be so overwhelming if there were more air circulating. Great customer service tho- I walked in needing an eyeshadow with specific qualities but no idea which brand would match; in less than 45 seconds from entering the store I had a consultant showing me exactly what I was looking for and instantly made my purchase (Urban Decay shadows are incredible!). Her suggestion was so spot on that the next day I came in again for another shade in the same line and again left happy. I received an email earlier this month from the Sephora Insider saying I had a free birthday gift waiting for me, a mini lipstick and mascara from Makeup Forever, so I called to make sure it wasn't a free *with purchase* deal and the consultant I spoke to (Travis) was very nice, very friendly and reassured me that my gift was indeed 100% FREE. I'm an esthetician, so makeup and skincare and great customer service are vital for me- I'm so glad I found this place, the staff is awesome! read more
