I was in high hopes Jamie at Diva would be able to help me with my decorating project but the two…read moretimes she came to my house, she arrived 30-minutes early (9:30 instead of 10 am). Once, I was just getting out of the shower when she arrived with the painter. Instead of offering to wait in her car, she invited herself in with the painter to look around while I got dressed! It was awkward, so I agreed, but by the time I was dressed, 7-10-minutes later, the painter had gone! So I didn't get to be a part of that discussion. When I finally got the quote several weeks later, it was for $9,400 - for a 1650 SF house!! I knew that was ridiculously high, so I decided to get a 2nd quote which was $3800! (FYI- Painters normally charge $15-20/sf.) Also, I found Jamie's communication style a little too direct and opinionated when recommending what family heirlooms and pieces I should get rid of, especially before establishing the look I wanted. I just never felt the connection or inspiration I had hoped to have with Jamie. Instead, I went to Bassett where there are great design consultants at no charge and custom furniture with great sales!
