She helped me find some shade ranges that could possibly be a match for me and even offered samples so I could try them out. Amazing customer service at this location I have NEVER been able to find a foundation that truly matched my skin (I am Asian, Cherokee, and white mixed) and they took the time to help me find the perfect shade with all the qualities I needed for my wedding day foundation. I was given a sample of a different brand to try first last week that didn't quite work after oxidizing and so I went back today to see if I could find a better fit and they knocked it out of the park! I'm going to give Sephora 4 stars based on their return policy alone. I usually spend my time in Sephora on my phone looking on Yelp for where to eat after Sephora while my wife shops so I can't go into detail about the products or pricing. I do like that they have a large selection of Men's colognes and an interactive computer program that allows you to put your current cologne or perfume in and it will tell you what family of scents it belongs to and what colognes are similar. This helps narrow down choices if you know whether you are looking for a fresh scent, woodsy scent, etc. Back to the return policy. They seem to have a return policy on par with Costco and Nordstrom where they will take back merchandise you have tried that you are unsatisfied with which is great. There are so many products on the market and there is no way to know what will work for your particular skin so this is an awesome policy to have. The stores also seem to have plenty of staff working ready to assist however they can which is a plus. Seems to be more and more of a rarity in retail to have stores staffed appropriately as opposed to just having a couple of cashiers checking people out. read more

I know I have left a review for this Sephora before but it doesnt seem to be here? hmmm. Idk why. I came in here one day and PROMISED my fiancee I'd be right out, I knew exactly what I wanted. NARS blush and a roller perfume of Bright Crystal by Versace. Easy. 5 min. Never promise this will be 5 min in Sephora. I got stuck talking to a lady who was by perfume. Lovely pleasant lady but she would not stop. She must have sprayed 15 different perfumes literally ----and no coffee beans to smell to kill it. I left with a headache and still only bought the rollerball. She mentioned how great of a seller she was, Ill admist most would have but I am a broke college kid getting married and in nursing school.... I must stick to the basics until I have a real job. I cant afford but bare basics that will last me a long time - enter sephora bc eventhough some things cost more than drugstore you use less product. a few items I love: brow brush: $15 but its a must. i hate to spend a whopping $15 on the smallest brush you ever saw but trust.. worth ever.. penny. changes the entire shape of your face. Airbrush foundation brush #55 cost: 34 or #56 cost: $32 also worth it and i hate hate hate to spend that much on a freaking brush. but my skin did indeed lookflawless.. (along with my next item) HOURGLASS MINERAL VEIL PRIMER: omg. the holy grail of primers. I have found it. No need to search anymore. This made my foundation (next item) last all the live long day. literally. from church to nighttime and my skin and blush stayed put without even using a setting powder or spray. AND you can get the travel size for $19.50 (that includes tax) it is that good. worth every penny DIORSKIN FOREVER: DONT BOTHER WITH STAR - that broke me out. BUT the forever did not and melted into yourskin and just made you look flawless which is atall order when you have huge pores and brown sun spots everywhere... a few breakouts. worth it. try it. just do it. birthday gift, christmas. u name it HOLY GRAIL. MY ADVICE: Get color matched with items you want to try. forget the color iq stuff. each line of makeups are different but if something doesnt work you can take it back.If it breaks you out: take it back. This location is TERRIBLE. I misunderstood the expiration of a coupon and asked to speak to the manager to ask if anything could be done. I have to spend more than $2500 a year to get the level of customer loyalty that I have and even with that the manager was very flippant... "Nope. Can't do anything. The coupon code is expired." No sorry... no nothing. I understand that the code is expired. I understand that it was my mistake. HOWEVER.... when you have a loyal customer you shouldn't be so quick to shove them off. Unprofessional management and customer service. The store is rundown and dirty. The shelves are empty. Whereas the Domain location is fully stocked, so the season is not the issue. Georgetown Sephora is just an all around terrible experience. Terrible. Employee was highly offensive and behaved radically over her Covid extremist opinions. She gossiped publicly about me over the intercom as I walked away. I went to the manager to report the employee and the manager condescendingly nodded her head and smiled. She did and said nothing to make it right. Even suggested she would ask me to leave when I suggested her employee be more professional and "mask" her public performance in regard to a customers. I wondered why this location has been looking more and more like an outlet and the employees I used to love to visit with were no longer at this location. Now I know. While I like shopping online at Sephora's website (yay for free samples and goodies), sometimes you have to go into a store to test things out for yourself. I came here looking for mineral make up. With the airlines limiting yoru liquids on carry ons, I was thinking, "hey, if I convert to mineral powder make up, that's one less liquid thing to worry about". So, I explained to one of the associates what I wanted and what i was currently using. She mentioned that Bare Escentuals had come out with a new formulation to their powders that was the Bare Minerals Matte which doesnt have Bismuth Oxychloride like the original does. Anything matte is a plus to my oily skin so she helped me find a color, but unfortunately demand was so high that they were out of stock (as was another Sephora store I went to). Poo. That didn't deter me from buying anything though! I checked out the Sephora line and their eye pencils are actually really great. I'm down to my last inch of my pencil so I will have to go back and get more. I also like how they carry natural make up. I'm currently into Tarte's line of products. I sampled perfumes and marked down my favorites to add to my wish list. Sephora is such a fun girly store. And if you join their Beauty Insider program, you get a point for each dollar you spend and can redeem them after you collect 100, 500 points. It adds up really quickly especially when your friends also have wish list with Sephora products ;o) read more

Mercedes came over and offered to assist me I was looking for a specific sunscreen that is available online she went hunting for it and found it. She also proceeded to show me this machine in the back you scan items and its linked to the website very cool. I wanted a foundation match and Dania helped me, she also showed me how to do a smoky mature eye lol at 27 you think I know but now I can practice. She was very friendly and when I asked her to recommended products for my skin type she was very resourceful. I normally only like getting my cosmetics at Nordstrom because of the return policy but here you can also return items that don't work out too. I recently became VIB and with it came a free makeover. I booked with Bethany and had a pre-facial with an Algenist representative. Bethany was amazing! She talked thru each step, listened to my needs and helped me learn new tips and how to properly do them. The whole process took about an hour and it was fun to sit back and let the experts weigh in. I am less a star as i came in previously and asked tips and suggestions from a staff member who said because she didn't wear that type of makeup (blush) she couldn't help suggest but pointed to one and said try that. I had a meeting in Georgetown yesterday afternoon & decided to stop at Sephora before heading south again. I haven't done the 'ME' thing for way too long, had a couple of skin issues I had been meaning to address, but just hadn't taken the time yet. I knew before walking in that I was interest the Clarisonic Mia for one thing, and was assisted by a great young lady named Katy. She wasn't only helpful; she was knowledgeable, kind, funny and DIDN'T try to up-sell me to the newest/most expensive one - same thing for the other products that I bought. That right there is huge for me (when I run across people that are pushy & care about nothing but the sale, I'm out the door and will spend my money elsewhere!) She asked questions based on my skin concerns and I asked her for recommendations; she led me to options that wouldn't just help me, but would give me more bang for my buck! I had read great reviews on the Mia, and one thing that stops me from washing my face (outside of doing it while in the shower) is that I don't really feel like using my fingers to put the cleanser on "in a circular motion" really does the trick, ya' know? Well, Katy did a demonstration on my hand with the device, and WOW!! The difference between my two hands after she was done was amazing!! I swear, this is really a review for Sephora, but I think my excitement over my purchase is starting to make this look like a review for Clarisonic! ;-) Needless to say, I am so very happy that I decided to stop at this store while I was in GT, and I'm really excited to try my new products (my new Mia has to charge for 24 hours before I can use it.) I do also need to point out that there was a gentleman (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name!) that was very helpful in helping me choose new make-up brushes! The other employees that I ran across while browsing through different areas of the store were also very kind - none of them were pushy at all; they greeted me with a smile and let me know that if I had any questions about anything they would be more than happy to help. Based on this great experience, I will definitely be making the drive to Georgetown (which really isn't that bad when you hop on I-35 during non rush hour times) for my beauty care needs, or even just to browse around and check out everything they carry! Holy Shebang giant Sephora! Since I have conquered the market on the Sephoras in the immediate Austin vicinity, when a friend offered a chance for me to check out the "Wolf Ridge" location, I was totally down. I once thought the Arboretum location was the largest Sephora within 30 miles of Austin. I was wrong; this place blows it out of the water! This place is not only huge but they have all the great brands too! Another bonus is that they don't close until 9PM in comparison to 7PM at the Arboretum. The staff is friendly and helpful but it doesn't seem like they have as many employees as the other locations. This is probably due to the fact that they are kind of far from the metro Austin area but OMG THE MAKEUPS! Due this lack of employees I suspect that it would be a lot harder to last minute schedule a makeover or even get an express makeover done. Overall, while this store has all the right brands, the long drive isn't worth it. Between the Barton Creek and Arboretum locations I can buy all the brands I love without driving out of my way. In addition I like the relationship I've built with the makeup artists at the two other locations so I won't be changing my alliances any time soon. However if you're in the neighborhood it's definitely worth stopping by to check out what they have! read more

I had not been in in years. The staff member I encountered was extremely rude and ignorant. I walked in and asked about samples or trying on makeup and she informed me that she could only put the makeup on my hand. I then asked if I could just get samples to try on myself at home and she told me that this was dangerous because , you know Covid. insert eye roll here. This woman was literally gleaming and so proud of herself for displaying her utter ingorance yet in believing herself to appear righteous with her shallow insignificant gestures on her narcissistic power trip. I mean seriously, some of these people who take this to this level are not right in the head. Why is it that when you give even a minor position of power to someone not right in the head that they take it to the extreme? She literally thinks its safe to spray the makeup on my hand but not to let me take that same spray and put into a container to try on my face at home by myself. Oh and I can't forget she told me not to worry because I could return anything I didn't like if I wanted to try the product at home. How is that helping anything? That is such a waste! Another terrible experience at this Sephora location - just order online and save yourself the trip. I ran in to pick something up, the woman working suggested I go to Sally's instead. I promptly pulled up the Sephora site to show her that what I was looking for was in fact, sold at Sephora, but of course this location didn't have it. Also, the one time I've gotten a makeover here, I had to stop quickly to buy makeup remover wipes to tone it down before a dinner engagement (that I was of course late for, because the makeover took so long). Even with the wipes, my boyfriend (who hardly notices a red lip or a hair cut) commented on how "different" aka terrible my makeup looked! The girls aren't very nice or knowledgable...
