Placed an order online for curbside pickup, I received an email from Sephora that my order was ready for pickup at 6:18pm. I drove to Cerritos mall with my two babies... and for the safety of my children I always do curbside for all my shopping needs. I arrived at 7:59pm and was placed on hold for approximately 5 minutes. When I told them I was here for my curbside pickup order they told me that they were no longer doing curbside pickup ( I asked why and they couldn't answer my question) I told them I drove 20 minutes to their location and I had my 2 small babies with me. Keep in mind that the store hours were from 10am-9pm. If they don't offer curbside pickup after 7:59pm they should specify that in the email! It was a huge waste of time and very disappointing considering I had to drive with two babies for them to tell me this. Do not order from Cerritos Sephora for curbside pickup!! read more

This place is honestly a real blemish on the Sephora brand. The employees are either constantly distracted or just plain unenthusiastic. It takes awhile to get someone to help you even though the store is empty during the week. It's a smaller store so it does not have the selection or variety of products as other, larger Sephoras. They are constantly out of beauty insider rewards. This store also asks for an ID for purchases, which is not a deal-breaker, but is just another annoyance on top of everything else. Other Sephoras don't ask, which makes me wonder if this store has a fraud/theft problem. Unless you need something ASAP or this is the only Sephora near you, I recommend you go someplace else. IMO the Sephora at South Coast (or Crystal Court) is probably the best one to go to in terms of service and product assortment. read more

My teenage daughter and I walked into this store today to purchase a specific item. After walking around for several minutes we tried to flag down a sales associate but they just kept whizzing past us. Not one person stopped to ask us if we needed help in finding a particular item. It was a weekend so I can understand why the store was crowded but we were willing to spend $$$ We left empty handed. With that level comes many perks, one of the perks is being able to avoid the long lines with express checkout by an associate employee that carries a mobile register. My review probably won't matter but when I go to Sephora I expect great customer service and I didn't receive that at this location. While I know the Sephora sale is in full swing it doesn't excuse poor customer service. I went in there to switch my Haus of labs foundation since it was too dark I called ahead to check since I was driving from orange county if they had almost all the shades I was told yes over the phone so I went. I get there no one greeted me at the door. I asked an associate to point me in the direction of Haus labs she did and I said thank you. I'm browsing through the shades which were unorganized and dirty. There was no tester for the shade I was looking at and I saw an associate I wanted to ask if she had the tester for it. I ask excuse me to do guys have the tester for this? Holds out her hand and with a nasty tone and attitude I'm helping someone right now! I was shocked stayed cool and walked out. Sure, I appreciate great, attentive customer service, but when I'm in need of intensive Sephora therapy I just want everyone to leave me the hell alone. I heard from one of my favorite Youtube beauty gurus that Too Faced was going to release their Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette 12/19 at Sephora. So I made a mad dash for my local-ish Sephora to get the palette. The store was very very busy. Lot's of guys doing Christmas shopping, it was absolutely hilarious seeing the confused and overwhelmed looks on their faces. They walked around with the deer in the headlights look. I on the other hand knew exactly where to go and what I wanted. I made my way over to the Too Faced display where the Chocolate Palette was nowhere to be found. Standing by was Deborah (I hope I spelled it right) who quickly approached me and asked if I needed assistance. She was very nice and helpful. But much to my dismay I learned that the palette was not available in store but only through the web-site (bah humbug!) Sad as I was, I was able to brighten my spirits when I spotted the Laura Mercier Artist's palette. Oh my sad little soul quickly began to smile at the beautiful plum colors contained within the palette. I then saw that there was only one palette left. Luckily I reached and grabbed it before anyone could steal it from me. Anywhoo, after I was done with my shopping I was about to leave when I was pulled back in by some invisible force that refused to release it's death grip of me. I allowed the force to guide me and boy am I glad I let it take hold of me. This invisible beauty magnet brought me to the Urban Decay display where low and behold I laid eyes on *gasp* the NAKED 3 palette (yes Ladies the Naked 3!!!). Where have I been living all this time. Not until this trip had I heard about Naked 3! Again the angels of make-up were with me. I grabbed my palette before this guy nearly knocked me over reaching for the remaining palettes. I know he wanted mine but I was not about to go down without a fight and he quickly realized he would be in for the fight of his life. Very friendly staff! Sal is heaven sent! Super friendly and helpful and very informative. :) Clean and stocked and most importantly organized. If you need help with anything there is always someone there willing to help and get you what you need. Don't be shy to ask for there advise on anything because they are more then happy to help, with anything. Something I also noticed is that there is always more then 1 girl working the cash register. Which makes the line go a lot quicker then most places. I have been to ALOT of Sephoras but I must say this is hands down the best Sephora I been too. Not only do they have a super wide selection and variety of makeup, perfumes, hair products etc. But the girls/guys working there... make you feel welcomed! And that is very important! Located in the Cerritos mall this place is pretty nice store. Really organized but if you want any questions answered they really aren't any help. I see workers pacing back and fourth while not really asking if anyone needs help. It is a pet peeve of mine since many other Sephora's really do take some time and ask if you need help. At that moment I did need help in trying to find some new products. But I felt like no one really wanted to assist me...so I left and went to another Sephora store which was in Brea and got what I needed. I booked a 45 minute custom makeover at this Sephora location for my New Year's Eve party look. I was the first appointment of the day at 10 am and I was placed in the skillful hands of Sheree. Sheree took me in right away, asked me what kind of look I'm going for, I explained my idea and she worked on me instantly. She pretty much nailed my vision and was able to transform me from dull to fabulous within 45 minutes. Throughout the entire consultation she explained every step of the way and at no point did I feel pressure to buy anything unnecessary. They're very knowledge and will help you find products specially for your skin / color / preferences / etc! One of the employees took me around and tested foundations with me, talked me through eyeshadows, palette kits, eye liners, primers, the whole works! What got me to write this review was the service today. I came in today with 4 separate return receipts from a long time ago - lost these babies two moves ago and re-found them in the most recent move! However, since the moves, I found better stuff that I'm using now instead of what I purchased, so I came in to see if they'd take my stuff back. I felt sooo bad that I warned the cashier when I came up that I had a lot to return. Both the cashier and the manager were so patient and kind and didn't make me feel bad at all for the very very very late returns! Who doesn't want to become a VIB shopper. They give you free shipping on occasion, first dibs to products coming out to sample, also makeup-makeovers. Just make sure you book in advance and tell them your very important haha. Lilian, is my favorite makeup artist working at this location. Am I bias, perhaps? In all fairness, I'm sure they're all fabulous. However, Lilian was the first makeup artist I encountered. Ever since, she's been my go to and I recommend her to everyone in need. I would consider myself a regular. Lilian, is truly exceptional in the master pieces she's creating. She truly prides herself in her work and gets so excited doing so, she gets me excited. This worker with short, blond hair and bright, big, lipstick, old lady accused me of stealing while I was adjusting my pants. I showed her the inside of my tote bag and inside of my jacket, and she accused me of "hiding them in my panties". This review is for my complimentary makeover session, which I had 2 days ago with Vivi. We started off with skincare, a scrub, toner, brightening serum then moisturizer. The serum burned a little because I have sensitive skin which subsided shortly after after the moisturizer was applied. Swatches of color were then tested on my skin - hands and neck - prior to application. Vivi told me to trust her and then we proceeded. She was very accommodating and informative as I'm not very big on using make-up. Despite it being my first time wearing purple lipstick, I was very satisfied with both my experience and the result. If you'd like to schedule a makeover, you can go online and do so. Many times customers get disappointed that no one is available to help them when they walk-in, so do make an appointment first. Definitely not the best Sephora I've been too, I prefer the one at South Coast or Brea. I came to the mall for another store and decided to see if this Sephora had what I wanted. I ended up later going to the one in Brea. The employees here are not very helpful or welcoming. I've only been to this Sephora a few times but I've never been asked if I needed help or any friendly greeting. I mostly found the staff talking amongst themselves rather than trying to help others. Keep in mind that the checkout was full and there were only two cashiers. I also requested a sample from an employee who just told me to wait while she disappeared for a couple minutes and then gave me my sample without saying anything else. I found it strange, usually when I request samples they are made at one of the stations. I also found that the Sephora was not as organized or clean. The samples/ try me items didn't look very appealing. I like Sephora but will probably skip on purchasing anything at this location. read more

If I could give this store no stars I would. After my experience at this store I came to Yelp and I wasn't surprised they have 3 stars which is very generous actually. I came in to smell perfumes as I'm looking to start Christmas shopping soon. The very rude young man about 6 feet, blond hair was overseeing the perfume section. My friend kindly asked him if they had sample sheets to spray the perfume on. His response was, " we don't do that; there is tissues there, and when you're done the trash is over there." As he pointed towards the trash can a couple feet away. My friend explained that the tissues have a scent to them that don't allow the perfume to smell as authentic as it should. His response was, " oh. . . Ok. " He then proceeded to whisper about us into his head set. To that employee, sir you chose to work in retail that is not the attitude to have towards a customer who spends $1,000 of dollars per year. I could see why this place received a 3.5, but I think that this Sephora is more of solid 4. The product that this Sephora has is pretty extensive. Whenever I walk in, I want to buy at least 3-5 different products. The store is kept clean and organized. The make up cleaning products are readily available throughout the store. For the most part, workers are friendly, helpful and available to assist you. I have had instances where I had to ask for assistance about two or three times before I received any. Majority of the time, the workers are available to help you. I've had a few curt employees, but I honestly think that they were like this because they were overwhelmed. I went this past Saturday and I had such a nice encounter with the store manager Sal. I was looking for cruelty-free perfume and he took the time to look up such perfumes. Not only that but he offered me a sample of the perfume that I liked! Honestly, he is the reason why I have this place more stares. P.S. I wouldn't recommend coming to Sephora on a Saturday or Sunday. That's when it is absolute chaos. I went on a Sunday around 1 p.m. and I waited around 20 minutes in line.
