I dropped by Sephora on my birthday to look around and collect my Beauty Insider birthday gift. The store was well lit, clean, well stocked and organized. I was greeted and offered assistance by three consultants. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I love the tester stations scattered throughout the store that provide applicators, tissues, makeup remover, a mirror, and trash can. Sammy was assigned to me, and even though I am a much older woman, she was great at choosing colors and products that complement my aging skin and graying hair. She was patient, and she spent a long time with me, even teaching me how to apply several products. She gave honest advice, which I appreciated, since it has been awhile since I updated my colors. Sephora has a great selection of brands, and many choices within them. I got everything I needed. I am very pleased with the new products and the ease with which they are applied. I never felt pressured, and the prices were comparable to or cheaper than my usual brand. I tried to tip her, but they are not allowed to accept tips. I came in not really knowing what I wanted or what shade I should consider. Faith stepped right up and helped me. She was knowledgeable and really sweet. She helped me pick and matched me with two different foundations as well as a foundation brush. I absolutely loved my experience here today with Faith and the cashier. I love all things to do with hair and makeup, so of course I love coming to a Sephora. One of the things I like most is how you can try almost everything in store (or to take home so I've heard) before you buy it. The last time I came here, I found a brow gel I was in love with that an associate picked out for me. I didn't know the price and just assumed it would be around $11-19. It was $33 when I got to the register. Pricey, but they do have their $100+ products so I would definitely make sure you know what you're paying upfront. There's always many associates here at every hour they are open. They are always eager and willing to help while being easy to find in their signature black and red dresses. They've also been having male associates here, and they are usually made up and easy to find as well. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. for some reason i thought it would be a good idea to visit on a saturday afternoon a week after the FENTY collection dropped... WRONG. This place was packed with people from every spectrum of the rainbow. It was such a sight to see everyone coming for the same product. Unfortunately my shade was sold out and won't be restocked until next week but i was able to get matched for my shade and also purchased the match stix trio in deep 400 which comes with a contouring stick, a shimmer stick and a concealer stick for $54 plus tax or each can be purchased for $25 read more

I visited this location two days ago for two reasons: 1) To get my birthday gift from Sephora and 2) To try to find a new foundation to replace my MAC foundation. When I walked in the store, I was surprised by how crowded it was. There were people everywhere. I was in the store for almost 15 minutes and not one worker offered me any assistance. Now, they were busy, but I felt like at least one worker should have acknowledged my presence or asked if I needed help. I left this location empty-handed. I drove over to the Galleria location, which was busy as well, but I was acknowledged and told I would be helped shortly. The employee did the color match for me and gave me some options of foundation. She also gave me a sample of the foundation that seemed like it would meet my needs most. I did go back to the Sephora on 280 on yesterday because I was at the Summit. I was able to get my birthday gift. Based on my experience, I'll probably stick to shopping at the one in the Galleria. read more

I love my local Sephora. I'm always met with a smile. They're always very helpful and always knowledgeable on the products they carry. I'm currently using all clean skincare products from Drunk Elephant, Herbivore, Farmacy and Indie Lee. I also use clean haircare products and have recently started using the Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind shampoo and conditioner along with Verbs Ghost Oil. I'm in love with the Briogeo. It smells amazing and leaves my hair super soft and shiny. When I hug someone they always sniff my hair lol and apologize for being weird then ask what kind of haircare I use lol. I don't mind, I love sharing my amazing finds with everyone. The Farmacy skincare line is AMAZING.....Especially the Sleep Tight and their melt away makeup removing balm. I love using clean skincare, I know I'm not putting any yucky stuff on my skin but natural ingredients that do a much better job then man made chemicals in my opinion. *well I've changed my skincare around some since this review but I still get it all at my local Sephora. Perricone MD, PTR, SKII, Philosophys Micro-delivery peel has given really great results. My pores are seriously non existent. I contribute that to the micro peel and Perricone MDs exfoliating pore refiner that I use twice a day. I use the peel twice a week and the Honey Potion from Farmacy twice a week. This Sephora location at the Summit is top dog! We went in on Saturday and it was packed with customers, but all the workers made you feel like you were attended to. We were scheduled to have our make up done for our friend's wedding later that evening. I got Sarah and she was AMAZING!! My session lasted about 45-50 minutes and she made me feel like a beauty queen! She used several different products for my face, which included YSL, Smashbox, Marc Jacobs and other brands to complete my look. I usually am bound to my Bobbi Brown essentials so this was big. My favorite thing about my session was that Sarah really took her time to make sure that everything on my face was even and just right. My eyebrows are typically sparse and she made them look full and fabulous. She also applied my fake eyelashes and it was perfect. I can't say enough about the staff and services Sephora has provided to me. Instead of getting my makeup done elsewhere for my next event, I'll for sure be booking with Sephora! read more

Due to my various experiences -I've found Sephora at the Summit to be lacking in the following categories: *Product availability for highly sought after or newly released products. If its a "hot" item- they may well be out of it, I haven't found this to be true of other Sephora's. *Lack of staff skilled in skin care and makeup technique for customers over 50. This is no way an indictment on the staff's willingness to help- or their friendly nature- just their lack of expertise with this age group. read more

Ever since covid happened the employees here think they can just treat everyone horribly and get away with it. The little pale girl with black hair is the worst because she harasses everyone if they move their mask for one second and she thinks they are pulling it down. i pulled it down just to face ID myself into my bank account and she yelled at me. i understand and totally support their policies and mask wearing and i have never entered the store without one, but no other store at the summit harasses people like this store lets the employees. almost everyone is extremely rude now and it makes me not want to shop here anymore. i'll probably just stick to the one at the galleria from now on. only go into this location if you want to get harassed by a 15 year old "makeup consultant". :( read more

I have been a loyal sephora customer for quite some time. I mean, what's not to like? You walk in and are surrounded by pretty makeup and fragrant perfumes. And, at this particular sephora, I've never been disappointed with the customer service. They are there to answer questions and make recommendations. You can even make makeup appointments there for special events. I did that several weeks ago for a Mardi Gras ball, and had a great experience. My makeup artist listened to what I wanted, and created a masterpiece! I also really like their reward points system. I like to save my points up for bigger and better freebies! read more

I always get a rush when I go to beauty/cosmetic stores. Sephora is one of my favorite places to splurge. I love to see the soft brushes neatly lined in cubbies. The fresh lipsticks seem to call out, "Pick me! Pick me!" The perfume/cologne section pulls you over as soon as you hit the door. I travel a lot, so I've been to quite a few Sephora stores in my day. What I like about this location is how neat and organized it is. They have TONS of product (from makeup, to perfume, skin care --- everything you need to slayyyy ) and I appreciate how neat and organized things are. The sales associates are knowledgeable of products too! I bought a face mask I heard about on a beauty vlog, but was nervous about my sensitive skin. The sales associate was able to give me more insight about the product and was able to suggest supplemental products to use to get best results. (Sephora products are quality, BUT pricey, so I skipped on the extras this time and just got what I needed.) The lady was absolutely right in her explanation of the product. (So far no breakouts. She said the face mask would hurt removing it....AND IT DID! #beautyispain) Any time I go and have a question there is someone who is able to point me in the right direction. They also are great about samples. Around Christmas, I went here with my boyfriend and wandered over to the perfume section to casually hint at what perfume I'd like this year. (*cough* Tom Ford *cough* Black Orchid) The perfume specialist was able to show me several perfumes I should also consider based on my preferences. He also hooked us up with several perfume and cologne samples. They also have great free beauty classes. I've been to 4. They fill up quickly so I suggest registering early and getting there early for a good seat. It's super hands on. You walk away from those classes with more knowledge about makeup application, product use, and free make-up samples. It's a fun activity to do with your girls Saturday morning. You can sign up online or in store. My only critique of this location would be the attentiveness of the sales associates. When they're helping you -- they're awesome--but, there were several times (while I was standing in several different sections of the store) where sales associates walked right by me without asking if I needed help or had a question. One lady started opening storage drawers to look for the product she wanted because she wasn't being helped. It was only then that someone finally came over to help. You'll find whatever beauty product you need in this makeup emporium, you just might need to be a little proactive getting some help! read more

I have been a Sephora customer for years. Spending a fortune on everything from eye lashes to lip balm. One of my favorite things about the store is how excited the staff is when you walk in the store. I loved having the beautiful makeup artists paint my face like a canvas. I loved them showing me the newest gadgets and gizmos. Today I visited and felt as though I was in Walmart. First of all were are all the young stylists? Secondly, what is with the uniforms, yes uniforms, they are wearing? They are horrible. I hate to say it but I don't want makeup advice from a woman and I mean older woman who doesn't look like she knows the first thing about hair and makeup; plus she is wearing flat rubber soled shoes such as a busboy would wear at work. The only saving grace was a cute young black woman who worked very hard at selling me mascara and cleanser. She, at least, was engaging. Then there were the customers who were just picking up products and applying to their faces. PEOPLE PLEASE that is what all those tester applicators are for..... use them. read more

I read a nice article about this company and decided to try this store. My makeup artist was knowledgeable but fail to provide any samples when I asked for them. He told me to ask my cashier. She was cold and also refused to provide any samples for ANY of the products they have. These samples are provided by the manufacturers to give to potential customers to build brand loyalty. I left with the plan to try their competitors and buy products there and if I was happier return my items here and never darken their doorsteps again. I ended up writing corporate and was happy with their response. I provided them my contact information but have yet to receive any products or samples. I was extremely happy with the other store so I will now spend my hard earned money where I'm treated with respect. It's a shame because I really liked my makeup artist here. Oh well, I don't have to beg a company to take my money. With my shopping addiction there are too many other places to shop. I ended up at Saks and purchased my old brand of makeup. The salesperson there gave me plenty of samples of their higher price beauty products I had yet to try. My skin feels wonderful and I must certainly will buy some when their next beauty combo comes out so I can get the free bags. I donate the samples and the free gift to my favorite charity that provide them to assault victims to use after showering at their facility. If anyone needs to be pampered it is someone that has been sexually assaulted. So my request for samples weren't to collect dust in my bathroom. read more

Sephora is the same everywhere but what's amazing to me is that a national chain can't make a return if you have a receipt and the merchandise- even Rite Aid does My daughter works nearly 24/7 and asked me to return something with the receipt and unopened merch- I was told they had to have the card or a merchandise credit. Poor customer service. I tried to exchange a product that I purchased in October and I explained to the cashier about my product and how I wanted to exchange my Becca foundation for a shade darker. She rudely accused me of trying to return/exchange the product that I "supposedly" purchased a year ago and claimed the bottle was half way empty from just holding it? Lmao ok when I just told her I used it twice and wasn't happy with the shade of the foundation and then I asked to speak to a manager and the manager rudely claimed she saw my records on the computer and that I bought it a "year ago" hahaha I never saw her glance at the screen but okayyyyy, so her and the cashier were RUDE and did not do ANYTHING to try to help me!!! Never EVER going back to that Sephora again. I have 4 other foundations and that's why I never gave much attention to the Becca one on exchanging it right away but i realized that months were going by fast and I had better try to exchange it before it got too late. I regret EVER spending money and wasting my time at that store! After that I called customer service and they confirmed that I did purchase my Becca foundation in OCTOBER 2017 NOT a year ago!!! But thankfully I went to a different sephora and I explained my reason for my foundation and I was taken care of and was able to exchange it.
