Here, they let you walk around freely and unbothered, but will offer assistance when you need it. They have a decent makeup selection. I get my LA Girl concealers from here. I love LA Girl products because they are brown girl friendly. They also carry NYX products so if Ulta doesn't have what I need, I try here and they is usually will have for a comparable price. I was a walkin at lunch time. There was no wait. I've been getting pedicures & powder dip or gel…read morefor more than 15 years. The older gentleman who does pedicures is very rough. My pedicure at points was painful. Towels WAY too hot. His hands were not steady. It didn't help that the nippers were dull and wouldn't cut my toenails. Then he used the same ones on the skin. Not great. He swapped out for a younger lady to paint my gel polish. Unfriendly to say the least, but the worst part was the polish. Base coat was fine. The she applied 4 layers of gel polish plus a top coat. WAY too thick. Then at the end she took out the file and started filing the front of the nails and sides. At that point I knew something was going to be wrong. I didn't notice until I left and had time to actually look at the polish but it was lumpy (not suprizing with so many coats) and there were areas with no polish and areas with streaks. Worst of all was the dull, uncoated areas that she filled off. If you don't know, when you file gel and don't reapply a top coat that is what makes it chip. I've been a licensed cosmetologist for 25 years.

My usual nail tech had abandoned me to help THREE other customers that came in after me. Kevin helped me today and I know now that I should've walked out when he sat down. He cut into my nail with cuticle cutters, he made my nails extremely lumpy and when I asked him to thicken it because I could feel my actual nail he got an attitude. He cut me with the nail drill and didn't do anything about it. Not to mention the fact that my nails are lumpy, droopy, none are the same shape, and the end of my nails aren't straight. If I could personally give Kevin a Yelp review for the nails he gave me today, I would give him negative 3 stars. My nails are my confidence and these are just making me depressed.

Both she and another one of our friends got it done for their wedding and they looked fabulous. I knew I had to book an appointment for my next event! I made a reservation online and it was extremely easy. Studio A is kind of hard to find if you've never been. Definitely look it up online before heading that way with your Google Maps. I got lost! It's nestled in Cahaba Heights across the street from Starbucks and Dairy Queen. You also need to remember to wear dark and loose fitting clothing. It's a small salon but is tidy and cute! There's pictures of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe everywhere. Everyone I came in contact with there was very nice. When I got my airbrush tan done, you could tell they took their time with extreme precision. They assessed my body and where to spray - whether it be more or less. I think my whole session was about 10-15 minutes. It was dry nearly immediately. They even walked me to the front door, as it was raining earlier on in the day, to make sure my feet and legs wouldn't get wet. The tan was dark, but not over powering. There was orangey/oompa-loompa coloring either. My tan lasted around 10 days. Amazing! Studio A has a new forever client in me! Love, love, love it!

I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, but she was so sweet and helpful. She walked me through everything I needed to dye my hair pink and my sister's hair 'dirty mermaid' color. She was able to give me all the information I needed to know to successfully do the coloring. She was so informative. I never caught her name, but I told her I wasn't having the best day and she made sure to make my time there enjoyable. I went in about an hour prior to close and she greeted me so nicely and we just talked. I was really grateful that she was able to help me. I wish I got her name. She was such an angel. The store was very clean and I was able to get in and out rather quickly, with product and everything I needed to know.

Went to a beauty store with my parents and son too. The woman then says really I am German. " well my son is awesome because he also German and Polish but he is just handsome all rolled into one thing my son"! So we just go up to counter to pay and then mom approached the counter but with her loud voice talking fast because she was excited with something she was going to buy. The lady again says "WHAT LANGUAGE ARE YOU SPEAKING. YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD SPEAK ENGLISH..." and hen smirks. I say HELL NO AND SHE IS SPEAKING SPANISH and!!!!! The woman says with a nervous laugh " well I am here and she should speak English". I said to her with a sarcastic laugh " well she wasn't speaking to you no matter what language she chooses to speak to me let me be clear it wasn't a conversation including you! And she finished the transaction and i just left counting to ten in my mind!!!! If she would had given me any more of this ignorance I would have recorded the rest just in case I go to jail!!!! Many years I have gone here and not received the best help in advice product search or any form of interest in helping out. So I go there get what I want and mind my business. But really this was beyond stupid

I don't mind paying to fix it but they didn't say anything it about it or act surprised. Been coming consistently for probably close to 5 years and don't think even 1 person knows my face. Coming from leadership experience at a spa with high end customers, costumer service + knowing your customers goes a long way (and knowing who's spending money at your business). I always tip over 20% if not well over. I go here because of location convenience, because I can always walk in without an appointment, and finding a new place is just inconvenient. 4 stars because I feel bad giving less than that.
