Jess was our cashier and she MADE this entire experience worth the wait. We waited outside in the rain for about half an hour to get in the store due to COVID. This was a valiant attempt at enforcing social distancing, but no one in the line outside stayed 6 feet apart. They required all patrons to wear masks and provide a piece of their brand of bar soaps for everyone to wash their hands (you can keep the soap which was awesome). Going back to Jess tho... She was amazing. Funny and personable. She explained each of our products to us and how to use them while ringing them up. Absolutely loved her. Self care is a must for me, so Lush was the place for me today. I've been here several times in the past and appreciate their products being organic and free of harsh chemicals. I really wanted some shower steamers, but they did not have them. They did, however, have shower scrubbers that is a soap that dissipates as you shower giving off essential oil aromas. I was indecisive about what else to get because I wanted some of everything. They do have samples that you can take home and testers available to see if you really like a product before purchasing it. I finally made up my mind and purchased the yummy custard body wash and the mimosa shower gel. If you want to try something different, Lush would be a great place to try. read more

Love it! The staff here is very nice and they take COVID precautions seriously! I love that. You must wear your mask inside and they limit capacity. The greeter at the front entrance let's you choose between using hand sanitizer or a sample of lush soap to clean your hands before entering the store! They also teach you how to properly smell the products with out having to take off your mask. There are also a few ground rules that they ask guests to follow them you're allowed in. It sounds like a lot but it takes less than 2 minutes to do, i appreciate the thought and care they take. This was my first time taking my daughter to Lush and she had a blast! I let her choose 4 bath bombs. Then I purchased some body butter bars for me and some face cleaner for both myself and my husband. read more

I love to come in and smell the stuff and buy the coffee mask. The bath bombs. We came here the week of Halloween and it was really cool. They had a station to make your own bag with stamps. I had heard of Lush bath bombs for a while now, but had no idea it was an actual store till I was just walking around the Summit the other day. As soon as you go in, you smell fresh soap. They have bath bombs galore, but also a variety of other things that are wonderful and smell good like body butters and hand creams. When I came in, there was a family with small children shopping here too so the associate did a bath bomb demonstration that I think even I was more excited about if we're being honest. So just like a Sephora, it's a place I would liked to be locked inside for a few hours and just play around in. The items are a bit pricey, but definitely something I would treat myself to once in a while. read more

As you walk through the doors you can smell why these guys are so successful! The entire store puts your sense of smell on sensory overload. An absolutely awesome staff greets you as soon as you walk in. You will never have to wait to have one of their amazing staff offer to help or answer a question. They are in abundance throughout the store and obviously take customer satisfaction/service to another level. The store itself is set up exceptionally well and displays are creative. Staff are eager to make recommendations if you would like or you can wing it and pick on your own. Hair, lotion. bath, etc. they have an abundance of selections for every taste (um...smell). Masks are no longer required in our state or anywhere at The Summit. When we went into LUSH to shop, they forced us to wear a mask because "their headquarters " requires it. The associate followed us around the entire store to make sure we were wearing the mask. She was very obnoxious and there were NO other customers in their store at 2:00 on a Saturday. Wonder why? I typically spend around $150 per visit in this store but they have lost this customer for life. I doubt this store will survive with this kind of treatment. It's a shame. read more

Sensory overload!!! So on a recent business trip my wife discovered Lush. She brought home a couple bath items that smelled great. She quickly discovered the store here at the Summit and off we went. Lush is a home made style soap company. They have other items for your lips and hair but mainly soap. When you walk in you are hit with roughly 3487 different smells. Thank goodness they all smell good. Touch everything! Some soaps are hard some soft and some are like a greasy gel. It was a fun time checking everything out. It's a neat store with awesome staff. I went here for a fresh face mask with my sister and bought so much more because I was so fascinated by the knowledge Sam our Lush Lady had. I always wanted to try more products than I usually buy from there. I just didn't know what would work best with my extremely combination skin type. I usually stick to the fresh face masks and Rub Rub Rub for exfoliating my legs a few days before waxing or spray tans for my short dress weddings I attend. She took her time with us we never felt rushed and I loved that because usually at the Locations I'm a regular at I feel rushed. Sometimes I feel like there's more customers than knowledgeable staff too so it's really not Lush's fault the place is just amazing and super popular. I ended up buying a bar shampoo I've always wanted to try and a bottle of conditioner. Farmacy face cleansing soap and some other goodies. Of course I didn't leave without a bath bomb. If you're ever in need of a relaxing night with a hot bath facials and wine you have to stop by Lush to get a bath bomb, fresh face mask and then top the night off with sleepy lotion. It's the way to go. I know Sam is in school and there seasonally however there's a super friendly lady with dreadlocks there that I spoke to for a bit while my sister ran off asking Sam questions about other things across the store. This store and its employees are AMAZING. Always genuinely friendly and helpful. Going into Lush instantly makes me happy and lifts my mood. Were a Lush family, everyone in my family including my husband uses Lush products. The shampoo bars helped my 5 and 6 year old learn to wash their hair themselves and bath time is a enjoyable, relaxing experience again. I have used Sleepy lotion on my kids after their baths for years and now they put the lotion on themselves each night after their baths. I spray Twilight on their sheets and in their rooms and bedtime is calm and peaceful now. No tears, no whining and no getting out of the bed a million times. They drift off to sleep easily and wake up refreshed. I never believed soap and lotion could do all of that but it can and I highly suggest the shampoo bars and Sleepy products to anyone with kids because it will make your nighttime routine enjoyable and calm. If you've got young kids who are learning how to wash their own hair you gotta get them a shampoo bar and conditioner from Lush. They last forever and they don't waste any like mine did with bottle shampoo and conditioner. My husband uses Outback Mate soap and we both use Rub Rub Rub, honey I washed the kids soap and he uses the matching shampoo bar. Rub Rub Rub is perfect for exfoliating before shaving and I follow up with Ro's body conditioner. It makes my skin petal soft and when I want to pamper my hard working hubby we will take a bath together using the scrub and bath bombs, sorry if thats TMI but its been great for our marriage. It gives us alone time to talk and remind each other how thankful we're for each other. Trust me ladies, get some bath bombs, some scrub, some candles and spend an evening with your hubby or significant other. I was so excited to hear there was a location in Birmingham.. I drove 40 minutes to get to this location.. I entered the store with my son and I was not greeted two of the associates were busy but one was free up buy the register I stood in the middle of this store looking confused because I was and waited for someone to ask if I needed help no one did and one associate walked past me and I had to stop her to ask if they carried black soap in this location she stated they did not only charcoal soap but that was the end of the conversation she walked off.. and lastly I was the only person of color in the store.. This was my first honest trip to Lush Cosmetics and I honestly had the best experience. My Fiancee loves the store and raves about it but I generally wait on the outside of the store due to being sensitive to smells, I have to avoid cosmetic stores, perfume stores and the like but walking into here was a different experience. Yes, there's a ton of smells floating around but none so harsh and overpowering you can't stay in this store for an extended period of time. To some, it may still overpower you but it's a cosmetic store so please don't be discouraged or take it out on them because of that. Take my review as a warning, there are A LOT of smells floating around. My personal experience was wonderful. The workers greeted us upon entry and asked if we needed help as we browsed. At the time we were just browsing but she let us know she wouldn't be far in case we did have questions. And help she did. She came back to help answer questions I had regarding bath soap because of how temperamental my skin can be to certain soaps, I have a hard time being able to find something that won't break me out. She was not phased I didn't want to buy first thing, she cut me a sample to try at home and even though we were together, she cut my Fiancee a piece as well. Great customer service. But it doesn't end there, another worker helped me find a good scrub and moisturizer that wouldn't damage my skin. She washed one hand with 'Angels on Bareskin' and then moisturized it with 'Gorgeous.' My skin has never felt better, it wasn't hard to convince us after that. I have been a huge Lush fan since way back when, so I was super excited for Birmingham to get one. I have made lot's of stops to the Lenox location in ATL! So now that we finally have our own I was excited to stop by. I went a few days after grand opening and they were pretty much cleaned out of bath bombs and bubble bars, but said they are getting a new shipment soon. The staff was friendly but not pushy! This location was very large compared to some I have been to which is much appreciated! Of course the prices are on the higher side but I think the ingredients make it well worth the price. What an awesome store. Recently I have become quite addicted to bath bombs! I'm not really sure why, but I buy them up at every chance I get. I recently ran out and was online searching for more when I came across this store. To my surprise, this place had a store front right now the road... who knew!? Hahaha made a quick trip on a Saturday and boy were they packed. I took my husband in with me (mistake) so I didn't really have time to fully look around. But let me start off by saying WOW this store smells amazing and they have SO MANY bath bombs! Like I said the store was pretty packed so I just smelled a couple and bought them quickly. They had a ton of employees on staff ready to help and also had about 5 different demonstrations! I was so impressed with the variety of products this store had to office. My girlfriend loves this place and wanted to take me to see it. I can admit that the place has nice soaps, lotions, shampoos, etc. but the workers here are like vultures. At this point the mask mandate has ended, but I can respect a store telling me to wear a mask, but this is a store where you have to smell things. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to want to pull your mask off of your nose to get a whiff of the soap you're considering, but as soon as you do that you'll have two or three workers gearing up to come tell you to put your mask back over your nose and explain the same thing to you for the fourth time. "Hold a smell strip at your eyebrow and let the smell waft down to your nose," when smell goes up, and even if it didn't, I have a mask in the way. the miniscule amount of the smell that I'd be getting would be unnoticeable, and would not display what these products even smell like. Surprisingly friendly and helpful staff especially when you consider that most of the retail workers at the summit can be quite rude. I recommend getting a dragons egg bath bomb and at least one kind of bubble bar if it's your first time going. Don't worry if you feel overwhelmed at all the choices because everything is good! My step mom and I were driving through Birmingham and stopped by, and not only is the store in the absolute best condition but each one of the employees we interacted with today were phenomenal. After we left, we realized we had actually left a really valuable ring there when we were trying some things out (whoops) and called them back for help. Not only did the girl look and find the ring, she's mailing it back to us because we live so far away. I'm a die hard LUSH addict and was SO ECSTATIC when I heard that they were coming to Birmingham - even if they are located in the chaos that is The Summit. I attended their 'first opening' this morning and it was more crowded than I could have anticipated but the staff was gracious, helpful and professional even amidst the crazy. I picked up some staples (YAY for fresh face masks that I can buy in the state of Alabama, normally I import them from ATL) and was impressed by the size and scope of this store. It's a full-blown location (no counter in Macy's), is very spacious and the layout is open and easy to navigate. They have a sizable gift section and appear to have the full scope of all product lines, YAY. Understandably, the staff was too busy this morning to be doing many product demos but it did look like there was space enough for several 'stations' of this is the future. I'm just so thrilled to have a local source for fresh masks and a place to return my pots that isn't 200+ miles away. I have to say my first visit to this store was great. I wanted to check it out because my nephew loves bathbombs. They have a great selection of individual and box sets of bath bombs. The boxed sets looks beautiful and are already perfectly decorated to give as a gift. The girls working there are absolutely fabulous. They are knowledgeable and very sweet. I ended up buying some soap for myself. Not originally going there for that reason, but their soap is wonderful! I bought the cocobutter one that's shaped like a bee. It has coconut shavings in it to exfoliate and leaves you hydrated. The other soap I bought is called Sultana. Jess, one of the sweet girls helping me even made me a sample of salted coconut hand scrub. Without me asking! I was checking out I said "I can't wait to go home and take a shower!"
