Selene is a good restaurant that attracts a younger, affluent crowd in Soho. The food and service are both good. Best for big groups. Nominally a Greek restaurant, the menu is broadly a Mediterranean one.

A great spot in Soho area with amazing people and vibe. Service: They say what makes a place stand out more is the service rather than the food and I 100% agree with this as everyone here was so friendly. From the doorman, hostess to the waiters. So thank you all! Ambiance: My group Sat in an outdoor/backyard area which was pretty nice and calm, away from the noises happening inside. The inside would be amazing during winter time and such. Food: The starters were the food highlights of the night. The Octopus was very soft and savory, easy to bite into. The Escalop, as if I was cutting through butter as the knife sliced each piece with ease and when you put in your mouth it just melt. Put both of these into the crunchy bread and spread it with the sauce the starters it would be a great combo. The crab cake was somewhat too fishy, the moment you put it in your mouth, you can taste the fish. Well for the main I was disappointed honestly, a Place like this should definitely do better, and here is why. The pasta was too saucy, like if it is drenched in sauce and then put on the plate. The lobster, cant you even take it out of the shell and put it nicely instead of bringing it like this. I will comeback again to check the rooftop and basement, as I was hearing music playing, so I gotta check that out.

Exceptional - flawless experience from start to finish - came here for dinner with friends and had such a nice evening - beautiful ambiance, food was flavorful and fresh, and service was 10/10. Absolutely wonderful- highly recommend!

This new restaurant does not disappoint! My husband & I split a whole fish charcoal grilled, with sides of roasted mushrooms and charred carrots. Everything was very fresh and flavoraful.

Selene Soho is an elegant Mediterranean marvel that recently opened in the ModernHaus hotel spanning multiple floors with options including outdoor garden seating and a glass atrium lined by chic stucco walls. Their coastal Greek menu features polished appetizers and fresh seafood. The tiropitakia is a golden flaky pastry filled with creamy goat cheese and topped with caviar. The watermelon salad is perfect for the summer covered in feta cheese and topped with refreshing mint and sea salt. The saganaki is richly soaked in spiced honey. The wagyu carpaccio is beautifully plated with black truffle. The cocktails are on the lighter side but standouts for me are the Naousa Sour mixing rye and Greek wine and the Amber Coast mixing tequila, papaya, and lime. The showstopper for me is the massive black tiger prawn perfectly charred and cooked in olive oil. It's a bit of an adventure to cut the prawns off the shell. The tender short rib in orzo and goat cheese is very filling and flavorful. The service is friendly and refined.

I believe I've discovered the hottest spot in town! It was an enchanting evening, reminiscent of a vibrant night out in LA. The atmosphere was beautiful, featuring stunning rooftop areas and cozy balconies. Although it was a bit chilly, we opted for the inviting indoor seating. I started with the most unique cocktail called Aegean Silk, which set the tone for the meal. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, and each appetizer was better than the last. I highly recommend the crab cakes; they were exceptional! One standout was the mushroom side dish--unlike anything I've ever had before--deliciously unique. And you simply must try the cheesecake; it's topped with an exquisite Greek cherry compote. Don't miss out on the Ekmek dessert either; trust me, you'll want to take a second order home! Parking was also easy ! And so many places open late night walking distance to Selene . Will be back for sure !

Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. The staff were very hospitable and helpful, giving suggestions on what to order and telling us about some of the preparation, like the brine for the fried chicken that incorporates tea for flavour. We had the Caviar Tater Tots ($29), which were tasty and a fun concept, but I thought a little pricey. We shared the fried chicken ($36), which I also thought was high, even for Tribeca. I wish there had been more than two hushpuppies, which I enjoyed. The fried chicken was very juicy and I liked the spices used in the coating. My friend was celebrating her birthday, which I told the manager about on the D.L. He had the waitress bring a big piece of the bread pudding and put a candle in it. My friend was completely surprised and chuffed. The bread pudding was dense, but not heavy and delicious. It reminded us a little of kugel. I appreciated them gifting the dessert: a very thoughtful gesture. I'd like to go back to try a cocktail, the crab dip and the lobster roll (but preferably with someone else picking up the tab).

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. Can't really recommend Split Eights over other cocktail bars around.
