I came here for restaurant week. I had a reservation at 9 pm and my friend and I went to the bar first then were seated 5 minutes after. From restaurant week menu (3 courses for $60 per person), we got: - watermelon cocktail: I liked the foam or whatever but it wasn't too strong or potent in flavor - spritz: tastes like an aperol spritz so can't go wrong - raspberry cocktail: this was spicyyyy and my friend annoyed this a lot - meatballs: these were a good size and came with a good amount of sauce - burrata: also very good! - porkchop ($17 upcharge): not dry at all, came with a sauce - salmon: I liked the skin because it was slightly crispy. Pleasantly surprised! Not that I had any bad expectations going into Tucci, but as someone that grew up on Italian food, I generally find many of these new Italian places to be a bit of a letdown. I'm happy to say that Tucci was not such! We started with the meatballs and tuna carpaccio. The meatballs were really good honestly some of the best that I've had in the city. The tuna carpaccio was not bad by any means, but I've definitely had better. It just seemed to be lacking depth of flavor. For our mains, we had the chicken Parmesan, spaghetti Pomodoro and Campanelli Alla Boscaiola. Honestly, all three were very good! I wouldn't say that the chicken Parm was as insane as I expected it to be and have heard it is, but it was by no means bad. We all really enjoyed it. The spaghetti Pomodoro was honestly one of my favorite things if not, my favorite, it was perfectly cooked and the sauce was divine. It was a great execution of a basic spaghetti with red sauce. The Campanelli was really good as well and the addition of the sausage and mushrooms really elevated the dish - super flavorful. In terms of service, it was good, but honestly could've been better. Our waiter wasn't very friendly and was kind of pushing us to get things that we had already said we didn't want. If we say we don't want the bread for example, don't ask us multiple times if we're sure. Where to begin? I arrived before the reserved time and was sent to the bar to wait. My party was stuck in traffic. I made a wait buddy from Massachusetts who has been in NYC since 2021.Great conversation while waiting for our perspective parties. The tragedy was my party arrived late due to NYC traffic from Harlem. She was in the village by 5:55 and it was a creep to the restaurant. Tragically, our table was no longer available. My party did not appreciate the action as I was not advised the table was no longer available. The next table seen in the system was 9:15 PM. We opted to still try the cuisine; problem was no one took our order. Rating 3.5 Solid dinner place but not particularly standout for an Italian place in NYC. Focaccia was good and I usually don't like sourdough but didn't mind theirs (it wasn't that sour). Caesar salad was as you'd expect. I would skip the Brooklyn Burrata and the meatballs (there were three per serving but they are huge). Baked clams were ok (just tasted like breadcrumbs to me) but I did like the crispy artichokes. I also thought their pastas were just ok (we got the cacio e pepe and fettucinni). Kimchi lasagna was good but the perilla leaf and kimchi flavor didn't come out very well so it tasted mostly like regular lasagna with a bit of sweetness from the bulgogi. The veal, pork chop, and ribeye were all solid but again nothing standout. Lastly, I would skip the dessert - the mousse and the baked alaska were way too sweet for me. The food is okay. The last time Wait staff was horrible or should i say my waiter. The bus boys did their jobs. My waiter was NO GOOD. especially on new years eve. Bottom line his tip was not good. First time here and definitely coming back!! Came here on a Thursday night at 6 and it was already buzzy! We ordered the meatballs, arancini with caviar, chicken parm, and cacio e Pepe. The anchovies were present in the dressing but it could've packed a little harder in the punch, or maybe more Worcestershire, salt, idk but something was missing a bit in the dressing. For our entrees, my girl had the branzino, I had the chicken parm & my homeboy had the Cacio e Pepe. His was a bit underwhelming as it could've used a bit more salt & pepper. But the branzino? DELICIOUS! Branzino is branzino so the portion is what it is, but baby it was good!!! The star of the show, the chicken parm. Silly of me to think I'd bring home leftovers. I tore that baby UP! The focaccia was a little doughy for my taste. But the sauce accompanying the artichokes (as well as the artichokes themselves) were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the agnolotti. The stuffing was a mix of eggplant and yogurt that was delicious, and it paired really well with the zucchini mint sauce. I'd go back just for the agnolotti. Sorry to say but it was not what we expected equal to the price of almost $600 for a couple. Upon arrival, we had to switch tables and the hostess (who really wasn't happy when we arrived) seemed annoyed she had to move us, they ended up trying to literally squeeze us in a spot that I couldn't sit let alone by husband who is double my size. We were sat again without menus and completely ignored for the next 15 minutes, finally I called the Sommelier over to ask him to help and he did choose a very lovely wine at our price point. We then waited another 15 minutes for our server who when he finally came over, didn't introduce and just started saying what the 4 course menu entailed. It was at that moment, I asked him if he was our server, he nodded and walked off, the next time I saw him was when we had to order desserts. Our first course was good but the sauce with the meatballs tasted burnt so that was inedible, I would have returned them but no one came over at all to help except for the sommelier who kept pouring our wine. Second course of pasta, the Pomodoro was cold, didn't eat that and at this point, I succumbed to the service and just left it on the table. The bus boy seemed to notice we were being ignored and tried to come back to check but really didn't do much, finally last course took 60 minutes and I am not exaggerating, literally an hour, we sat and drank and tried to enjoy the evening as much as we could since we couldn't go anywhere else at this point but we did speak about leaving. Finally the sommelier noticed we still didn't get our entree at 12:30am, we started at 10am and went to go check on what was happening. Again, never SAW the server, when our entrees came a few minutes later, my pork chop was raw and my husband's rib eye was lukewarm. Service never checked on us and never apologized. We had a visit from the manager who told us he would only charge us only "one meal" and we were so frustrated at this point, we just nodded and I mentioned that my pork chop was inedible and the bus boy put it in a container. He asked why I didn't tell our server and I said, I had not seen the server in the last hour! He then asked to take the container and in the back and about 30 min later brought me a new pork chop to bring home. This was awkward and cringy and I didn't know what to say but I had a talk about the service and the gratuity that was included in the bill which I didn't want to give to our server. Soon after, our absent server walked over to pay us out and I could see about 5 employees all discussing what I has told him in front of us and the server himself rolling his eyes and complaining about his service. Mind you this is only the time we saw him, he dropped off the bill and I left and mostly me and the diners next to me said they would never return. It was that bad and for $600 dollars (bill / drinks) I was so disappointed and I doubt I would return. Overall, one of the worst dining experiences I have had, please do better. read more

My husband ordered the kimichi lasagna which although an odd and out of place ingredient on an Italian classic, was a subtle flavor that worked well in the dish. Came here last minute on a night out. We were able to get a last minute reservation which I thought was 100% pure luck lol. When we arrived there was no one at the host desk so we just waited.. and waited.. and waited.. finally someone came and sat us down. When they came to get our drink order they let us know the kitchen was closing and we would have to put in our food and drink at the same time. This was a little annoying bc we had literally just sat down. But we did our best and ordered a little bit of everything. The food was delicious and the drinks were stiff. Tucci first caught my attention when one of my former colleagues posted that she dined here on her Instagram stories. I then saw it popping up on other IG accounts with nothing but good things being said about it. I'm cautious about placed hyped up on social media, *especially* Italian restaurants, but the food looked good and I was curious to see how it stacked up compared to other spots in the city. My friend and I were looking to get together, so we thought dinner here would be the perfect place to catch up. Tucci is relatively new, having only opened in March 2024; your first thought by the name may be that Stanley Tucci has an interest in this place, however the Tucci actually refers to Max whose family also owns Delmonico's Steakhouse. This is meant to be D's sister restaurant, serving up Italian fare. It wasn't that hard to get a reservation, though still the earliest time I saw a month out was 9:45pm, so I booked it. Walking in, we were greeted by the hostess who immediately sat us at our table. The dining room isn't large - I would say there are about 20 to 25 tables, though there's also a downstairs area with a bar - not sure if there's additional seating there. The space is decorated nicely, it has a high-end look with lots of greens and blues cast against the white tablecloths; a bar on the back wall serves as a focal point. We started with drinks - I got the Ciao Bella which was vodka based and contained citrus accents. The drink was good - perfect for the upcoming summer season. Moving onto apps, we decided to start with their focaccia bread, and then move onto the burrata with prosciutto and meatballs. They were generous with the focaccia - the top was little crispier than I personally like, but overall it was good. The burrata was delicious - creamy, fresh flavor and wasn't too runny. I wasn't a fan of the meatballs - they were way too dense, and I'm a little uncertain about their red sauce (there was a flavor in the sauce I can't put my finger on). Also, at $27 ($9 per meatball), this was overpriced for the quality. All I saw on social media was everyone talking about the chicken parm - and even though I usually don't order this out and have eaten 763 chicken parms in my life, I gave into the hype and we decided to order it. Additionally, we ordered two pastas: the bucatini amatricana and the casarecce alla boscaiola. The parm was huge, definitely enough for two people and was topped with a smoked vodka sauce in addition to sitting atop red sauce. At $41, I was expecting greatness however the dish fell flat for me; the chicken was tough, there was too much cheese, and I was struggling to find any flavor - I mean I saw the sauce with my eyes but it wasn't translating to taste. The bucatini was fine, but it contained the same red sauce as the meatballs and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. The casarecce was delicious - the sauce was tasty and contained a generous helping of Italian sausage; this was the saving grace of the mains. To finish off, we ordered the baked Alaska affogato and the tiramisu. The tiramisu wasn't anything to write home about; I would have liked to have tasted more espresso flavor but the amaretto flavor was a nice surprise. The affogato was better - making it baked Alaska was a unique spin, and it had hints of lemon which I loved. Service was excellent - everyone was super attentive and friendly which really made the experience; the food came out faster than I expected, but it may be because it was a slow-ish night (there were empty tables when we arrived that stayed that way). Overall, Tucci has potential but at this point it's more style over substance IMO. It's a gorgeous space, and the social media hype is drawing people here - however the food didn't do it for me. Hopefully as they're open longer and get more into their groove the food will get better; for now, I would opt to dine elsewhere. read more

I had such a great time here on a Tuesday afternoon to celebrate my husbands birthday. The food was shareable and so delicious. So delicious. CASARECCE ALLA BOSCAIOLA 10000/10 wow, I listened to yelp recommendations for this one and it did not disappoint. CHICKEN PARMESAN 10/10 I am typically not a big chicken parmesan person but this was amazing. Perfect thin piece of chicken that was seasoned and cooked to perfection. NONNA SESTA'S CAESAR 7/10 I love a good cesar salad and this was that. Not the best I've ever had but good enough. I expected a little bit more from Tucci to be honest LASAGNA AL FORNO 7/10 the lasagna was good but I have had better lasagnas The drinks were pretty good and did not leave me buzzed. I do wish I would've paired the food with win instead of choosing cocktails. I had the Lavender Haze which was a gin cocktail. Very refreshing. My husband had the Italian margarita which I wasn't too fond of. The service was excellent! We were well attended and never left dry. Buyer beware. They sneak in a 4% charge if you use a credit card. You only find out about this when you get the bill. No notice on the door. Nothing on the menu. The server does not tell you and when you ask the GM he says "it's on our website" Well guess what, it's not. Do not like liars and cheats. Avoid! read more

First off, a warm and current decor, very pleasant environment! Even though me and my partner are not fan of American Italian driven menus, at Tucci the Clam Oreganata, Veal Chop and Pork chops were all delicious. We do prefer they to be cooked a bit less though, just so to be tender. However the "jus" (I know, I meant it as it's rather French than Italian here for these 2 dishes) were absolutely delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We walked by the place, it looked nice, so we walked in for early dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since the place was packed we set on the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered Caesar's salad, spaghetti with red sauce and branzino. The bartender was clearly new, knew nothing about the menu, couldn't answer any question and didn't make an attempt of even finding out, so we just ordered what sounded good. Thankfully the kitchen delivered, everything was excellent, the salat was fresh and crunchy, the spaghetti was perfectly cooked (al dente) and the fish was beautiful prepared, with the crispy skin on one side and battery soft on the other. We then decided to try their dessert so we've ordered 2 macchiatos and tiramisu from our bartender. The tiramisu never arrived , instead of macchiato we received espressos... Anyway, since the food was so good the 5 starts is warranted, but I suggest that before you let a new bartender take over the bar, make sure he is fully trained, understand the basics, (like how to make a macchiato) and not to forget putting the order in (still thinking of the tiramisu that we never had). I really wanted to love it here. I saw a news story about this place opening up and decided to book before it got too popular. Reservation for two at 8. Arrived at 7:57 and my guest at 8:04 we sat at the bar bc our table was not ready. Graciously at 8:30 the hostess offered us wine, at 8:45 a bread basket and the owner offered us ciao Bella drinks at 9 wine and many apologies for our table not being ready. People were just not getting up from the tables after the meal was done. In the future they should nicely move them to the bar. I wouldn't be offended if someone asked me to do so. Idk. Something has to change with that. Visually it's a beautiful space. The music playing was enjoyable and not loud at all. It felt good to be there. I'm sure that neighborhood will enjoy it as I heard the location has had a bit of turnover but tucci seems like a keeper. The bartender was really nice too. He felt bad that we were having this experience. The food was good also. We wanted to get dessert but bc we were sat so late there wasn't time. read more
