Went for brunch and everything was great from the food and drinks to the service. The food came out pretty quickly. It looks unassuming from the outside so we were shocked it was two giant floors and the open kitchen concept is stunning. The pizza lived up to the hype - you must split at least one when you go. We also split the trouthead steel crudo, the salad with spinach and beet and a buckwheat pancake. Their take on the cosmopolitan is a fun not too sweet cosmo that's on the lighter pink side. Will return.

Came for dinner with a party of 3 on a snowy sunday evening. Servers were super attentive, never had to flag any down for any reason at all. Interior is gorgeous too, nice for a GNO! The vegetables here are incredible. Although I'm unsure about the NY location, I know Venice is all farm to table. I really recommend the carrots and the puntarelle (favorite dishes of the night) You can skip the burrata (it's nothing special). I was excited for the saffron spaghetti but I found it to be way too salty for my palate (perhaps because of the fish roe, not sure).

Been wanting to come here since it was announced they'd be opening this location after hearing about the L.A. location for years. The food is delicious. Must haves: -the pizzas were outstanding (personally I loved the lamb sausage) -Salads so good and fresh -Pork chop -Agnolotti Avoid the beans. The waiter suggested it. We all hated it. We didn't realize the plates are served tapas style (and at $25-45 per plate for a small serving it seemed a little high), which was hard with a group of 8 as we had quite a few dietary restrictions. The space is simply gorgeous. 2 floors. Lots of seating. High ceiling. The open kitchen is amazing. Service itself was ok. While the server was knowledgeable, we constantly had to search to find him and often went with empty glasses needing a refill. Might be best to come here with a small group, maybe even just 2 people to be able to have an easy dining experience.

This is a import from Los Angeles that does a really good breakfast/brunch. Gjelina's menu is means Italian-ish, but mainly just serves various dishes that highlight fresh produce. I think the food stacks up pretty well. We had the pomodoro pizza which I thought turned out great. The dough had great leopard spotting and a nice chew (highlighting the great fermentation) and the sauce was super umami. The duck hash was rich and tasty. Portions lean a bit small here but given how rich everything was, I think I was ok with that. Would go again, but mainly for brunch.

Big, noisy, and delicious The restaurant is on two floors of a large NOHO storefront. The restaurant can get crowded and the noise level can be loud. The cocktails are creative and more alcohol forward than you might expect from the ingredients. They encourage everyone to share each plate. Everything that we tried was tasty, our favorites were the Agnolotti and Four Onion Pizza. The service was rushed probably to turn the table over more quickly.

This was our first time dining at Gjelina and it was an interesting experience. We'd made reservations for a table but decided to sit at the bar, which was nice. Just note, you may have people occasionally bumping into your chair, even though there is plenty of space between the chairs and wall. They also have outdoor dining. In terms of service, the reception staff were accommodating, but our server did not come across as being very friendly. They also have some strict guidelines on ordering: 1. Food orders can only be placed once at the same time. We tried to order oysters first for appetizers while we looked at the rest of the menu, but were told we needed place our full order. 2. No changes can be made to the dishes. One of the dishes had garlic sprinkled at the top, which they refused to not sprinkle. I understand no substitutions, but this was just removing the very last step. The food would have been even more enjoyable with the option for some adjustments, but it was still very delicious. We ordered: - Oysters - half dozen - Burrata - Summer Squash - Sunchoke - Mushroom Toast Besides some of the oysters which were not shucked well, every single dish was so delicious I would recommend them all. The ingredients were fresh and they were well prepared. The Mushroom Toast, topped with plenty of mushrooms, was one of my favorites. The Burrata was nice and refreshing, especially with the peaches. The Sunchoke, which are roots of sunflowers, I tried for the first time in my life and also enjoyed very much. As long as you don't need modifications made to your order, I would highly recommend the food here.

Phenomenal lunch at the NYC version of the California outpost. Every dish was fresh, modern and exciting! It's a very vegetable-forward spot, which feels exactly like how we are all eating these days. The menu changes daily, based upon what's available at the markets so I know that whenever you go, you're in good hands. Here were the highlights: Started with the Grilled peaches with an olive tapenade with burrata and grilled sourdough. The perfect summer starter! Followed by a beautiful bracing dandelion salad. Vegetables galore! Pizza was light, crisp and fresh! Fresh pastas! And in case you thought this was vegetables only, their wagyu and stripped bass was perfectly cooked! The desserts were revelation. From the incredible blackberry and apricot cornbread with fresh corn cream to a buttermilk Panna cotta with a cherry gelee and cocoa nibs, and then a warm brown sugar cake, all the desserts were spot on. This is a place I won't forget. I think it's one of the best meals I've had in several years! But definitely the best of 2025 so far.

It was my first time here. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen and shared three items. First was the mixed green salad. Simple classic refreshing with dill. Second was the four onion pizza which was nice with the red pepper. Crust was thin and perfectly baked. Third was the panna cotta dessert with kumquat. Not too sweet, just right. Service was great- not too overbearing or interruptive. Cute and cozy vibes. Great weekend date spot!

LA transplants rarely make it in NY, but Gjelina is the exception that proves. The food, service and atmosphere are all great. The appetizers are the stars of the show, although everything is unique and flavorful.

Having heard about this place for quite some time, we grabbed a brunch reservation and were pleasantly surprised. I was a little worried when the hostess started to lead us upstairs to our table but the room had great energy, natural light and was very comfortable. The varied menu had everything from pancakes to salads and pizzas. The four of shared four dishes, each one delicious. The lemon ricotta pancakes were light and moist. The roasted greens and crispy egg was rich and savory. The endive salad was bright and refreshing. And the lamb sausage pizza nicely balanced. I'd definitely come back and will likely try other items not because the ones we had weren't delicious but because I'm curious to try more! Well done.

The restaurant itself is stunning - the lighting and ambiance are to die for. The food? It was... fine. Nothing special. Nothing terrible. But the wine pour? Jesus Christ. I thought I was on a hidden camera show. They handed me what looked like a wine glass someone had already finished. Eighteen bucks for what was essentially the world's most expensive wine sample. Didn't order another glass because I'm not clinically insane. Bottom line: Beautiful restaurant, attentive service, good but forgettable food, insulting wine pours. Would I go back? Only if you're paying

Beautiful space and friendly service. The food is fantastic. Loved the selection of veggies. The celeriac was incredible, and the cabbage was decent. The pizza with burrata is also solid. Appreciated the fresh dried oregano they served with it. The chocolate tart desert was fine. It's such an expansive menu that I'm quite excited to go back.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing. It was good to see my friends, but I so wish I hadn't picked this place. Never again.
