Such a great dinner spot. We ordered a few things family style, and everything was hot and delicious! Our server was attentive and answered all our questions. Drinks came out quick and were perfectly made. Highlight for me was dessert and a delicious pasta dish. The meatballs were also incredible! We were sat near the kitchen which was fun to see how they made all the pizzas. Would absolutely return.
This spot is IT. I fell off with sharing reviews for a good minute. Vic's is the gem to throw me back on here. After this dinner... I immediately was like, "no omg I need to give them ALL the praise." Each dish was incredible, nothing ever fell short. I don't even know what to recommend because I'm sure if I ordered something entirely different, I would be saying the same exact thing. (If the seasonal gelato is still chocolate amaretto when you go, absolutely get that. The amaretto cookie/toffee crunch within each scoop was actual perfection. I'm glad we opted for 2 scoops instead of 1. Seriously... Best gelato I've had in my life, and I've been to Italy ) Our waitress was so helpful when I couldn't decide between certain dishes, and she was SO sweet!!!! I think her name was Paola L. It's so refreshing to have a server so upbeat, happy and helpful. She just matched my energy lol, and she was so great and attentive. :) :') The general ambiance also was very lively and upbeat - definitely on the louder side but that's exactly my vibe. And the songs playing in the background were all total bangers. Next to all of this, the cost of what we got felt like a STEAL after receiving the check. I haven't come across a place with INCREDIBLE food paired with AFFORDABLE prices since maybe 2016. We got 2 drinks, 2 apps, 2 entrees and 2 scoops of gelato. It rounded out to a range of $130 ish altogether. Just amazing. Vic's is top on my list. 10/10. Especially if you're in the 25-35 age range... You will fit right in on a Saturday night! (We went on a Sat at 8:30p)
My friends and I had a reservation at 8:45pm on a Friday night. We were told by the hosts that another party paid, but they weren't leaving - they weren't the friendliest hosts. 20 minutes go by and we were told again that the party wasn't leaving, but a manager or the owner gave us complimentary Prosecco to thank us for waiting. I don't drink so this didn't help me as much, but it was a nice gesture. Another 10 minutes go by and we were contemplating leaving as it was already 30 minutes past our reservation time and all of us were hangry at this point. We finally got seated at 9:23pm and were ready to order. It's pretty dark in the restaurant and gave date night vibes - playlist was great too! For starters, we got the crispy broccoli, brussels sprouts salad, and crispy potatoes and they were all really good! For the mains we got the cacio e pepe spaghetti, lumache, and sausage pizza. I love thin crust so the pizza was good for me with a thin crispy crust, which I enjoyed. The pastas were just okay to me, I did prefer the lumache over the cacio since it had more flavor. The highlights were definitely the starters! Would come back for those. I do hope that in the future they kindly ask guests to leave the table if another party with a reservation is waiting, especially if it's over 30 minutes as we did get really annoyed before even ordering.
We enjoyed an early dinner out. The waiter was very attentive. The atmosphere was cozy. We sat around a booth with a table of 8. Enjoyed nice wine and cocktails. The hanger steaks were a table favorite. The cod was very good. The chick peas were a little too hard. The coffees and dessert were all very good. A nice spot on the east side.
Came here on a work dinner and the places is nice. I had the Calabria cocktail and it have a small nice spicy kick. We had the food family style. My favorites were the fried calamari, crispy potatoes and hanger steak. The cacio de pepe wasn't bad. Just a tad too al dente but that's my opinion of course. Foe dessert, I didn't get to try the tiramisu (probably should have) and instead tried the rainbow cookies. It is one of the most dense rainbow cookies I had. I would skip that. Overall, really nice place for dinner.
My friend and I snagged a last minute reservation here last Friday. I'm so glad that we did! We had to wait a bit to be seated, but they were great about transferring our bar tab to our table once we were seated. I loved the Milano cocktail! Not too sweet and full of flavor To start, we shared the crudo, per our server's recommendation. It was delicious! So tender, light, and flavorful. I went with the cacio e pepe for my entree and it was classic and delicious! The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce had that intense peppery flavor you need in a good cacio e pepe. For the area and quality of the food, I found it to be very well priced. I would definitely come back here! I want to try the pizzas next time!
My friend heard of this spot, so we decided to stop by for a light dinner when we were in the area. We got the garlic bread, the broccoli rabe, and the cresta de gallo to share. The garlic bread did not turn out as expected - it basically was this kind of pizza crust with roasted garlic spread on top. It was still pretty good, but most definitely not what we were hoping for. The other two dishes were solid. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was light but delicious. And the broccoli rabe was tender, and there were bits of black olive spread around the dish, which added a nice salty kick. The vibes were also really nice with a good amount of seating, making it a good spot to catch up with friends.
Came here around 8:15 PM with a reso and was seated almost immediately! The cocktails are mostly premixed so you can't change out liquor types but they tasted good enough. My friends and I split the arancini (10/10) it was really tasty with a nice crisp. Then my friend and I split the orecchiette pasta (8/10 could've used a little more flavor and the pasta was cooked a little less than al dente) and the roasted chicken (9/10 the potatoes were heavenly and the chicken skin was crispy but I got one really spicy piece of broccoli which definitely hurt). Overall great service and this would definitely be a really cute date spot!
We came to brunch over the weekend. Service: service was great. Fast and friendly. The rest of the party was about 30 minutes late but they were very understanding and didn't mind that I sat at the table and waited. Ambiance: the restaurant is so pretty. Natural boho chic. They also had a lot of natural light which made brunch feel like an outdoor event but we could still be warm. Food: we got the arancini and focaccia bread as starters. The bread was delicious and perfectly soft. I also loved that there were 2 halves that had different flavors. The arancini didn't really stand out but it was fine. I got the vodka pizza as my main course. It was very saucy but delicious. The vodka sauce was flavorful and well seasoned.
Food, service, and ambience were on point at this affordable Italian restaurant. My party started with the arancini and meatballs, which were both incredibly flavorful. The arancini were oblong instead of globes, and there were only two, so keep that in mind if you're a party of three or more. They're completely worth ordering though--incredibly juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The meatballs melted in the mouth, and the tomato sauce was bright with perfect acidity. For my entree, I ordered the campanelle with pork bolognese. It was a great portion, but the sauce was a little lacking for me, considering bolognese should be heartier than your average spaghetti sauce. My dining companions had the mushroom pizza and ravioli, and both said they were really good. I definitely wanted to steal one of my boyfriend's ravioli. They looked so plump and delicious! For dessert, the tiramisu was some of the best I've ever had, while the brioche with cream was underwhelming. Cocktails were solid. I had a Prosecco spritz, which I'd definitely order again.
I loved this restaurant. The setting is perfect for a nice dinner with friends/family, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was so friendly. We were seated in the back of the restaurant where we could see them making pizzas and cooking them in a brick oven which was cool to see. I got the cacio e pepe which was one of the best cacio e pepe's I've had. The cheese was so creamy and had the perfect sauce to pasta ratio. There was a bit too much oil at the bottom of the dish, but overall, everything else about this dish was perfect and delicious. We also got a side of Brussels sprouts which were decent, but nothing special. I probably would choose to try a different appetizer next time I come here.
Came here with a party of 3 on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. Right off the bat, we loved the ambiance! Here's what we got: Arancini - super flavorful and yummy, would recommend! Crispy Sweet Onions - this was just ok, found them to be really greasy but my friend who loves onions loved them! Broccolini - this was my favorite dish! Super lemony but also spicy and had the perfect bite! Sometimes broccolini gets over cooked but this was just perfect! Cacio E Pepe - super well made! perfect balance of creamy cheese and pepper. Would 100% come back just for this! Cannelloni - for the main we shared the cannelloni which was forgettable. It was not super flavorful and was kind of watery and mushy - would not get again Overall, we enjoyed most of our dinner and would love to come back and try more pastas!

There's room for couples and rooms for parties, in fact there was a birthday in the back by the kitchen. We enjoyed a meal for 3 and the service was prompt in this fast paced Italian restaurant. Vic's has a great family-like style. I don't know if it's the lighting, the seating, the meal. It just felt homie in my opinion (which is a compliment, a place you could just sit and feel comfortable). This is also a place where you can eat family style or just order for yourself. read more

Made a same day resy here on a Sunday, was looking for good comfort food to end the weekend right. And boy did this place deliver! Nomz: The menu changes with the seasons. We started off with the pork meatballs - they were fantastic - I'm not exaggerating when I say some of the best meatballs I've ever had - perfectly cooked, falling apart deliciousness, sauce had amazing flavor with a touch of spice, currently salivating. We also had the tomato and corn panzanella salad (came with arugula too) it was sooo good and light - we inhaled it - I have now looked up recipes to make this at home. For my main I had the spaghettini with clams and it was exactly what I was craving. Flavor was on point, had lots of sauce to work with and a good portion of pasta - I would have liked another clam or too but all good. Drinks: Had some wine - but didn't write the name down- sorry y'all. Service: Ugh, my only complaint - not knocking off a star for this - our waitress was MIA most of the night - we had empty drink glasses for a while before we could flag her down. Same when we got our dessert menu or needed our check. She was a bit standoffish and stared our monitor down when we were giving her the tip (we still tipped 20% but in a different world that would have been 0%). Ambiance: Modern cute, wooden intimate vibes. They have big round tables too if you want to come with your fam or friends. Nope or Dope: Dope! Look there are very few times where I walk away from a meal having enjoyed every course, but it happened here and I can't wait to go back! read more

Five stars for the entree and ambiance, four stars for the appetizers / hostess's attitude. Came here on a weeknight with my coworkers as a special holiday dinner, and I immediately was drawn to the vibes of this restaurant. It was decorated so nicely for the holidays, with wreaths along one wall and potted poinsettias along the other wall. The lighting is so warm and inviting -- it's perfect for dinner on a cold or rainy night. The hostess unfortunately didn't have the greatest of attitudes, giving us some trouble when we were wondering if we could add in an extra chair to the end of our booth table (there were five of us). The booths are long though, so we ended up making it work -- it was just a bit tricky since our winter coats crowded us. Our server though was so friendly and attentive. We ordered the calamari and the arancini as appetizers. The arancini was okay -- I have had better. The calamari was not good. It was a small portion and the squid tasted rubbery. Not a fan and would not re-order this dish. However, I loved my entree which was the Cacio e Pepe. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, and the seasoning was done very well. I would come back, but I would just choose other appetizers! read more
Nice place in NYC. Went for a workout at Rumble around the corner. Seated promptly. Place was buzzing for a Wednesday night. We were three people and ordered apps and a pizza. Pork meatballs very good crispy calamari and shrimp. I liked the way they were prepared. Sauce was ok. Zucchini blossoms. Ok. Roasted squash. Needed more cooking. Arrabbiata pizza. Was ok. Service was a little too aggressive. Felt like things fell a bit short. Not bad. Felt like it could have been better read more

Came for a work dinner and it was a good pick. Italian is usually a safe bet. Pizzas were delicious. Loved my espresso martini and my staff was kind. Water glasses were kept full. Special requests were fulfilled. Apparently the meatballs are very authentic! Melon and prosciutto combo is always a delight. Romantic ambiance, dim lighting. read more
Great service, delicious food, perfectly cooked homemade pasta, great Abe creative pizza, this was a great find! Everything was really good, but the pasta ruled the night! Or was it the pizza, or the eggplant, or the zucchini, or... My vote is pasta, you decide. read more

Seriously loved this place! It was delicious. We stumbled upon a this place for dinner and it seemed to be filled with locals which was nice. The service was amazing!! They were really nice! The ambiance was nice and cozy but felt upscale (doesn't matter what you wear though) read more
Our meal at Vic's was incredible, to say the least. The restaurant has a charming appeal, soft lighting, a full bar, and comfortable seating with plenty of elbow room. I knew we were in for a treat, when the restroom was immaculate, had beautiful flamingo decor, and a pleasing diffuser, constantly emitting a wonderful fragrance. Our server, Alex, was magnificent. She was courteous and said something that I've never heard a server mention with these exact words. It's like they're trained to time it perfectly by asking, "How do you feel after the first few bites?" I really enjoyed her attentiveness and choice of words. The lemonade came in a tall glass and was nice and tart. Definitely fresh and throughly enjoyed. We shared the Arancini (rice, mushrooms, rosemary, fontina cheese, and lemon wedge) appetizer. I cannot begin to express just how delicious this was. The Arancini was soft and full of flavor. The way in which the fontina cheese enveloped every piece was delectable. It was only two pieces, but large enough where you felt like it was sufficient to begin a meal. Our entrees were both scrumptious! The Chicken Milanese was mouth-watering. The dollops of parmigiano cheese were on the cool side and just enough to evenly spread across the entire piece of chicken. The chicken had a nice thin batter coating, large pieces of basil, and it all sat on a bed of spicy tomato. The Ricotta Cavatelli was al dente, the ideal amount of oil, and the crispy chili made it divine. Coming to Vic's was a wonderful choice. It will be on my go-to restaurant list, when in the NoHo area, and highly recommended. read more
Awesome food and service! I loved my pizza bianca with guanciale. It's a thin crust and the perfect portion for one hungry person or good to share with a few more bites. My friend got the tomato pizza, little gem salad and arancini and enjoyed it all. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Staff made great recommendations for food and wine pairing. Wheelchair accessible outdoor dining and indoor entry. I didn't go inside so can't comment on restroom. The outdoor dining options consist of tables on the sidewalk and a fully enclosed hut. I personally wouldn't feel safe in the hut, but staff were very understanding when I called and were more than happy to reserve a sidewalk table for us. read more

I am very impressed with the options and food quality at Vic's! The menu features a ton of delicious and creative modern Italian dishes, and you'll want to try a bit of everything-I highly recommend ordering a few dishes and sharing amongst the table. To drink, I had the Goddess Spritz, which was pretty good and floral. To eat, 3 of us split: -Crispy Sweet Onions (an unexpected menu item for an Italian restaurant, but they were delicious-and that dipping sauce?! Bomb). -Roasted Carrots: so beyond tasty and flavorful-this will make you want to eat your veggies. -50/50 Focaccia: whoever came up with this idea (giving you both toppings in one order so you can try it all) was a genius. My favorite side was the roasted garlic). -Arriabata Pizza: a solid pizza, wonderful crust and loved the olives and chilis combo. -Cannelloni: AMAZING. Plenty of sauce included, Vic's does this dish very well. I also appreciate how a large majority of the menu is vegetarian-friendly. The service and atmosphere was good as well. Came here for brunch with a big group of friends. Got there around 11AM and was super empty but got packed shortly after. We pretty much ordered one of each of the main brunch items but I got the ricotta pancake and my partner got the bacon, egg and cheese roll. The pancake had a good flavor but its a single pancake and very thin so not very filling. The pancake also stuck to the bottom of the hot plate it came on so I found myself scraping most of it off the plate. Interesting concept to a pancake but not my favorite. The sammy was good! Egg was perfectly cooked and meaty portion. Everyone else seemed to at least somewhat enjoy their food! Waiter was very nice. Cool relaxed vibes. I would return but not for brunch. read more

Great date spot. Nice lighting and noise level for a Friday evening. Service was polite and accommodating; however, the waiter did seem annoyed that we did not order drinks (we were grabbing afterwards). Would highly recommend the Long Island fluke and the mushroom pizza. Both well done and balanced dishes. The mafaldine was good but I would personally skip it on my next visit. Great vibes all around! Service was lovely, food was spectacular, ambience was great. I ordered the ravioli and thought it was so freakin good. Could've used another 2 or 3 raviolis because I'm a hungry girl BUT the prices are very reasonable so it all evens out. The chicken Milanese blew me AWAY. Holy crap that was yummy. But the star of the entire experience was definitely the 50/50 focaccia. Such a great idea. Loved the garlic side and loved the marinara side. Our server was so nice and he really made the experience even more elevated. The 2 things I could've gone without: 1. The rainbow cookies, they were meh. Nothing to write home about 2. The Arancini, they were good! But nothing crazy and pretty small. All in all I would love to go back here and try more things. I had an excellent experience and thought the price, service and food were all pretty epic. read more
What a solid spot! Perfect ambiance, great service, and delicious food. Was able to snag a Saturday night reservation and the restaurant was buzzing and packed through our whole visit. The mussels and hanger steak were exceptional, though I was a bit disappointed by the cacio e pepe spaghetti-- it had a floury taste to it that I didn't love. This is elevated cuisine in a casual atmosphere and exceptional service. Some of the best food on my trip. They have house made pastas with well made traditional sauces with the additions that make them Fusion--like crispy chilis, caraway: or salsa verda in the case of one of their pizzas. I wish I could eat everything on the menu. This is the place I want to visit again and again. read more

Hello! If we have tickets at the Astor Place Theater for a show that starts at 7pm, what time should we start dinner at Vic's and how far away is it from APT?
We got to Vic's at about 5pm and had tickets for 7pm at the APT as well. We arrived at the theater in plenty of time and it is only a couple blocks away - a 5-minute walk. You will love Vic's!!
