I cannot thank the Bartucci team enough. I was dining there and unexpectedly fainted and became very ill, and the way the staff handled the situation was truly exceptional. They were calm, kind, attentive, and incredibly considerate. They made sure I was safe, stayed with me, called an ambulance, and treated me with so much care and humanity during a very scary moment. Their professionalism and warmth made all the difference. This is the kind of place that truly cares about people, not just customers. Given the small selection available it was challenging. It's a tight space (you can hear the conversations of tables nearby) but nicely decorated for a cozy vibe. Came for dinner with a friend and the place had a cute, elevated, modern vibe to it. It wasn't too dark and they had the candles lit up and I think it would also be a good place for a date. We had a reservation and the servers were immediately attentive to us, bringing us waters and taking our orders in no time. The Sicilian chopped salad came first. It was flavorful and the greens were fresh. Having the bits of salami and olives in there with the crunchy chickpeas really made the salad stand out. The wagyu tartar comes on a toast. The bread is toasted just right that it's crunchy but soft inside, and the tartare has a nice kick to it and was delicious. I enjoyed the peanuts on top of the lamb meatballs. The order comes with 3 large ones, with cheese melted on top. It's all cooked thoroughly and it was a great dish to have. Lastly the lasagna was also delicious. I can only comment on one thing because I got the kale salad with crispy chicken but that salad was delicious. Perfect chicken, amazing dressing and the kale had the perfect crunch. Overall: 4.5 Stars Food: 5 Stars The food here was delicious. A friend and I split the Kale Caesar Salad, Wagyu Tartare and Tiramisu and it was the perfect amount of food. I was hesitant on the Wagyu Tartare, but it stole the show. The wagyu was buttery and tender, and there was a nice little spice kick to it that was flavorful, but not overwhelming. This is a MUST TRY for when you are here! The Kale Caesar was solid - All ingredients were fresh and the chicken had a great crusting on it and was delicious - Not greasy!! Definitely recommend the tiramisu - one of the better ones I've had in the city. Ambiance: The space is small, but the decor is minimalistic and homey. The place has a clean look, white, creme colors etc. and plants. The lighting is good and slightly dimmed, setting a nice tone. Service: Our waitress was amazing - She was sweet, offered recommendations, and was attentive and quick to refill waters, clean up our eating space, etc. We ended up having to wait ~20 minutes after our reservation to be seated however. Not a big fan of the Artusi cluster to be honest...I've been to both B'artusi and L'artusi, and I'm not impressed. L'artusi has the culinary edge for sure with better pastas and appetizers, but the issue is that I really dislike the ambiance of super loud patrons at both places. I can never hear the person across or next to me. I wish staff and ownership did more to enforce a more calm ambiance where people would be asked to cease their halfway screaming or baffooning with loud shrieks of ear-piercing, obnoxious laughter... this behavior of patrons cheapens the atmosphere to a wild sports or Irish bar. If it's this loud and wild, then I expect $6-$8 drinks at most. It's as if many people were not taught at schools to speak within a ruler's distance. My blood pressure ends up feeling elevated and I feel more stressed when I'm here, anticipating for my group to usually finish conversing so that we can leave. Service at B'artusi was questionable at best. For an almost $170 tab comprising of two appetizers and 4 Aperol spritz's, it was extremely underwhelming, and the food extremely below par. The two cheese and meat platter felt like a cheap combination of Costco/Trader Joe's cheeses/cured meats that were on flash sale. Taste wise - forget it. We finished it due to the high price point, but also felt it was a complete waste of calories and money. The cheesey garlic bread straight up tasted like melted cheese over bread with no remnants of garlic..nothing special. Service-wise, I didn't like the waiter's bothersome and annoyed demeanor. He also obnoxiously glared at the screen when we were deciding on a percentage to tip, further contributing to the terrible tip culture America has fed into. We felt very rushed every 20 minutes to leave during our duration here. Essentially feeling more micromanaged than workers at Amazon or 5 day return to office. Except we paid for this micromanaging experience. Look, I get maximizing profits for every table every hour, but people also pay for an experience. Will never return to the Artusi cluster - there are much more classy ambiance's. I've paid close to $300-$400 easily for many meals in NYC, but I've left mostly satisfied and that my money went to quality foods. I feel like here, I just literally took my wallet, grabbed some cash, and threw it off ONE Vanderbilt. read more

The food here is incredible. I'm still thinking about the lasagna. The affogato and the tiramisu were also standouts. Docking a star because we had to wait 30 min for our reserved table (they did give us free arancini to make up for it which was appreciated) and because we had to ask our server for water multiple times. We ordered the Reigning Queens drink, which was delicious, sweet, and refreshing. I tried my friends' Orange Outline and it was so good, and I don't normally like aperol! We came for dinner, and there weren't many entree options (I guess B'artusi is more for small bites), so I got the lasagna, which I usually NEVER get. However, this lasagna truly blew my mind. It was so flavorful and cheesy and aromatic with nice crispy bits on top. I just had my leftovers for lunch and it was just as good. This really changed my perspective on lasagna. Came here for a ladies catch up night. Made the reservation via Resy. The place is on the smaller size so probably suited to smaller group catch up and for quick bites. We shared a small table and was seated in bar stools in the three hours we were there. The cocktail list is good - different variety of drinks. The food tasted nice and of good quality. I really enjoyed their white lasagne - it is different. The ceviche was also nice, the sauce tasted different to other things I've had in the past. Service was good, we weren't rushed at all. Nomz: I was between the brunch and lunch menu and opted for the lasagna on the recommendation of the waiter. It was very tasty and a good size for one person. My friend had the frittata and really liked it. It came with a delicious side salad that I ate half of :) and made a note to self to ask for a side salad next time. Y'all know how much I LOVE Lartusi, that being said, I had a reservation for 2pm today (Sunday) but thought it was for 3pm and so I got there pretty late, because I was so hungry. I asked the hostess for recommendations in the area and she told me about their sister restaurant - Bartusi which is a bar/ lounge and just a block away, right on the corner of Hudson. Ramona was the host and she had a really kind/ warm energy which is so important for any establishment especially in food and beverage. It's a small intimate bar with a few lounge tables, cozy and intimate- just how I like it. The bar is first come first serve and I was lucky to snag a table less than 10 from my arrival. It's a pretty dope spot for pre dinner drinks and or light plates. I was very indecisive about what to order, but the bartenders- Rachel and Max and the bar assistant -Jeff were very helpful with some recommendations, I finally decided on the chicken wings for starters and wow- it was very well seasoned and very tender, followed by the burger for my main course , also very delicious, with very generous potions! I had to take some home! Thank you to the Chef- Joe Vigorito, Jeff, Rachel, Max and the entire team at Bartusi for making this a worthwhile experience. I will be back for sure read more

Not sure if they change the menu for Sundays, but it's a pretty small menu and your options are very limited. We also ordered a couple of drinks and I really liked my, watermelon sugar. We were both pretty hungry so ordered the burger and lasagna. Both flavorful, and well made. The only complaint about our meal is that even though the menu did not mention his burger would come with pickles, there were pickles in there and he hates pickles. 5/5 for date night :P Came here a week ago on a rim - was having a drink nearby and took a leisure walk with 'the date of the week' afterwards. And just like in the movies, it rained, actually, it poured. I recalled B'artusi was two blocks away so we ran at a speed of 6.6 miles/ hr, on my high heels, and got in. It was the peak hours for a Thursday night in NYC, of course there was no table left. But 2 standing spots at the nooks were available, which I praised about on my first visit (efficient use of space award!). We were dripping water off hairs (very sexy) and people around us dodged like plague ;) Perfect. I got the orange wine by vineyard Cascina Ebreo in Piemonte, IT. It was listed under 'Skin Contact' category, drop hint ;) Too bad, 'the date of the week' wasn't much a wine person. Next. Staff were nice per usual albeit my rain-soaked dress. The chopped salad was very tasty with a lot of variety. The garlic bread was cheesy and soft and huge. The lasagna was flavorful, and the lamb meatballs were tasty but a bit dense.
