    Cafe cluny burger with fries

My friend and I both ordered the Cluny Burger with fries. It was delicious, though a bit messy and difficult to eat. We also shared a glass of red wine and finished with the molten lava cake for dessert. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was charming. It felt like a cozy European café.

Very good quality meat on the burger. Cooked to perfection. The dorade sandwich and fries were very good too. I will be back.

Typical burger and fries. American burger. It was decent fries were good. I don't care for French burgers but this was a classic American burger. Service was great. Pricey as hell.

My wife loves their Dirty Martini, so we knew we had to come back. Their version uses tomato water, which makes it really stand out from other martinis in the city. We made a reservation for 12:15 and saw a line out the door. We arrived early around 11:45 and the hostess seated us promptly without any issues, which we really appreciated given how busy it was. I ordered the steak frites with au poivre sauce and my wife had the Breakfast Club sandwich. The steak itself was decent, but the au poivre sauce was absolutely perfect and really made the dish. My wife wasn't thrilled with her egg, which came out much runnier than expected, especially since the menu lists it as medium. We also shared the French onion soup, which was probably the best version of the soup I've ever had: rich, deeply flavored broth and a great cheesy top. The staff throughout the meal was attentive and friendly. The only downside is that the tables are quite close together, and with everyone's winter jackets, getting in and out of your seat can be a bit awkward. Overall, we'll definitely be back, even though it's a bit of a trek for us. My wife will return for that tomato water Dirty Martini, and I'll be back for the French onion soup.

Went in while passing by, didn't expect it to be so busy from the outside but every seat was filled! It's a cute French spot, the indoors feel so homey and vintage. Lots of seating, inside and outside. Def on the more expensive side but hey, it's French.. The burger was good, hard to mess up in my opinion. The bacon was cooked to its crispy perfection which is a huge plus, I hate non crispy bacon! We also got the flank frites, the sauce it came with was yum. The fries were nice and crispy and the chipotle aioli was a nice pair.

Disclaimer that I've only ever been here on Thanksgiving (now twice!), but I love this place. The food is phenomenal, as is the coffee, wine, and service. It is quaint and cozy and the perfect spot to enjoy a meal

Delicious food as always. Today I enjoyed a glass of white wine with I side of bread and butter while I waited and enjoyed Sunday ambiance. Bartender is always very friendly and attentive. They had an off the menu special that I had to try; the crab cake egg Benedict with asparagus and it was absolutely delicious. And for dessert; you'll never go wrong with this toffee cake with I side of vanilla ice cream.

Enjoyed a nice weeknight dinner here with a friend. We started with a half dozen oysters, which were cold and salty. For dinner, I ordered the tuna burger, which was cooked perfectly and the wasabi mayo added a nice kick. My friend got the purple rice with poached egg, which was also good, though smaller than anticipated. For dessert we got the profiteroles to share. You can't go wrong with puff pastry and vanilla ice cream! And while the food was great, it was a little pricey for the portion sizes. It being a local establishment, I'm sure you're paying for the name.

A nice little French spot with quaint vibes inside. Be warned it gets very loud in here, but the food is pretty tasty! I got the French onion soup and it definitely hit the spot, and enjoying a girl dinner at its finest I also got the fries and a glass of red wine. The wine was a little pricey but my girlfriend and I were catching up and I still enjoyed two glasses. She got the buffalo dumplings and a salad and loved her dishes. I will say as soon as I took my last sip wine they asked us to leave for the next table to sit, which was a little off putting, not other wise the service was good.

Cafe Cluny is a charming, cozy brunch spot in the West Village. I came here on a Monday morning and there was no wait which was nice. Service was prompt and it was easy to have quality conversation here. Food was good, similar to your typical American brunch spots. I highly recommend the zucchini fries as they were perfectly crisp on the outside but still tasted like zucchinis on the inside. The yuzu garlic aioli paired well with them too.

This cafe has a cute, charming vibe. I liked that the chai tea came in a tea press. The tea was good. I also got the Cluny burger with avocado. The burger was also good but it was very underdone when I asked for it to be medium. The service was good though and the waiter was helpful with my questions.

Second, we ordered the falafel bowl that includes three falafels, pickled onions, avocado, cucumber, whipped garlic feta, kale salad, romesco, and Za'atar dressing that had a delicious flavor. Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I ordered the market salad with mixed greens, honeycrisp apples, goat cheese, candied pecans, and sherry vinaigrette. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

The inside looked really nice with some nice pictures on the wall and lots of space for seating. They also have a downstairs that has a bar and plenty of seating. It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
