The perfect wine bar, truly. It was such a vibe to sip on wine while seated in their outdoor area. The happy hour is well priced -- $11 for a glass of wine (certain wines not all of them) and light bites. The artichoke flatbread was tasty.

Cutest wine bar! Great selection of wine, and perfect ambience to catch up with a friend. Their food also really surprised me especially their flatbread. Loved it in here and highly recommend.

The cutest wine bar!!! We ordered the chorizo speco charcuterie board and $8 glasses of white wine (happy hour price!) The board was delicious, with a plentiful amount of meats and breads. The atmosphere of Bibi is warm and intimate, and the volume level was at a quiet chatter when we dined around 5pm on a Tuesday night. I love the dim lighting, with each table lit up with a small candle. The window seating was lovely, and outdoor seating was available as well. Our server was extremely friendly, sitting down with us to explain drinks and food in detail. And they brought us extra bread too :) I highly recommend Bibi! It's a lovely place for a drink and a bite at a good price. It's not overly crowded, if you go early/on a weekday!

Great place we stopped by for happy hour (on a Sunday) from checking out some fantastic performance art in the East Village. I had a prosecco, and we shared a two-item plate (all plates come with bread). The sidewalk shed was a little dingy, but at least you got the sense they were well used, which you can't say about too many of the sheds in the East Village. Our waiter was a native French speaker, so with their longer history of food service, I relaxed into knowing we were in good hands. And we were: Our small normally indoor pup was coughing from the heat exposure, and our waiter didn't even blink. He also didn't try to upsell us on more drinks: I was the one who asked. Class.

Happy hour is a cheat code. Alphabet City's best kept secret. $30 for a bottle of wine and $8 a glass?!!? INFLATION BUSTER ALERT!!! I personally love a chilled red wine, but in the past when I have proposed it in a group of people, they look at me like I am Ghidorah. That's the monster that gives Godzilla PROBLEMS for you nerds that don't know. I have since stopped suggesting a chilled red, letting my social anxiety best me yet again. I came here with a newer friend, one of those friends that you feel you will really vibe with, but it is a bit too early to tell as some people lowkey be hella weird. When we were deciding what bottle to split, she looked at me across the 24x24 cherry wood table and asked if I like a chilled red. I felt a lifelong friendship budding right before my dark brown eyes. THANK YOU BIBI'S! ALPHABET CITY STAND UP!

Came here for happy hour from 4pm to 8pm on Sunday! Wine bottles are 30$ and glasses were 8$ when I went. They have devil eggs on the happy hour as well for snacking. My friends and I tried the artichoke flatbread and potatas bravas which were on point. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when the rest of our group game in later. The place gets pretty busy fast so go early to get a table! The vibes are pretty laid back during the day time, but would be a perfect date spot at night.

Great happy hour!! Perfect on a beautiful day to sit outside or a cold day to sit inside! Cheese & meat board is a great price & very yummy!

My friends and I went during the happy hour from 4pm to 8pm, and it was a fun experience. The wines we tried were delicious, and the small plates we got were really good. I especially enjoyed the potatas bravas and the artichoke flatbread. We were a large group, but the staff was so accommodating and friendly with us. And just generally I just loved the vibe - very laid back and gives you the sense that you're sitting in a nice rustic wine cellar.

The Wine & ambiance was great! Had a cool menu, perfect appetizers if you're trying something new. Space was quite small tho. Perfect spot if you reserve for a med size party

Charming, cozy wine bar with other options other than wine which was appreciated. Lots of seating and friendly staff!

I am SO glad we did. The vibe drew us in, they had great music bumpin from the outside, it looked lively and welcoming. Let me tell you- I would have skipped dinner and just stayed here all evening if it was my choice! But alas, my husband wanted a bit more to eat. But let me tell you- their knowledge of wine is PRISTINE! I can't tell you what white wine we had but they captured our tastes perfectly. We also shared a bruschetta and it was deliciouso! I love how friendly the staff was here and how unpretentious it all was. Next time we are in NYC- we will definitely make a point to come visit Rake!

First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

Sunn’s - Banchan. Potato salad with pear and the roasted eggplant were favorites.

Starting with the positives -the banchan was solid across the board and really flavorful. That said, charging for banchan feels strange to me. Traditionally, it's complimentary, like bread at an Italian restaurant so that part didn't sit right but it was flavorful. The chigae was interesting and probably the standout dish. It had a unique flavor that reminded me of a mix between soondubu and dwenjang chigae which worked well. Unfortunately, the rest was a miss. The bossam was overly salty and didn't feel true to the dish. The tteokbokki was another disappointment -it came with cheese (which wasn't expected) and just fell flat overall. For the hype, I expected much more especially because I've eaten Korean food my whole life. The venue is small and the seats in the back are uncomfortable.
