    Truffle Burrata Pizza

I've been going to this place the past few years, and it continues to stand out as a go-to spot. Both red & white wine of the month served was very good. I got the Truffle Burrata pizza and the crust was perfect along with hearty amount of fresh mozzarella was superb. The service was quick and efficient. Worth going back to every week.

I've been to this place a few times and always have a fantastic experience! The vibe is SO cute and cozy - perfect for a date night or friend catch up. The decor is really nice and the vibe is very positive. Everyone there is really friendly. Their wine list is awesome and they have great by the glass options - I don't know anywhere else in NYC where you could find Barolo and Brunello by the glass for under $20. The pours are also quite generous! I've only had their apps in terms of food, but always solid. I've heard their pizza is the thing to try.

This place should be a great date spot on paper. The food, drinks and service are all solid and I definitely want to try some more of their pizzas after having the hot honey pepperoni this time. Holy crap it's loud in here on a Friday night though. My wife and I could barely hear each other talk. This is extreme even by NYC standards. I rounded up to four stars because everything else was good.

Nice little cozy wine bar in Midtown East - the wine is plentiful and the food is good! Servers are also really nice and the ambiance is candle-lit. A bit small inside so you will be pretty close to other customers. The food here is good - the Mike's Hot Honey Pizza ($24) is a stand-out and the Spinach Dip ($19) is pretty good too! Overall, great wine bar :)

Love Sofia! I think this wine bar is very elegant. It's a cozy and intimate setting, with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. They have a nice, diverse selection of wines from around the world. Sofia serves some incredible Italian cuisine. The pizza is delicious! I highly recommend Mike's Hot Honey White Pizza. It's a fantastic combination of sweet, salty, and savory. 5 stars.

Horrible - do not order the La Nonna Pan Pizza. Was rubber!

Got our pick-up order through Slice and thought they might have some nice pizza. My god. Was I wrong. The "crust" texture was of an automobile tire. Just like rubber! Got the Mike's Hot Honey White and the La Nonna. Was it undercooked maybe? I don't understand but it wasn't even chewable. Their pizzas are abominable - big nerve, especially serving rubber in New York. They also market their rectangle pizzas under Round Pizzas on their website. We got the La Nonna Pan Pizza (pizza pans can obviously be round, square and rectangle) and the one they gave us was rectangle and so lackluster. Rubbery and the wrong shape because website says it's Round? Lol Place is like the Wild Wild West when you go in too. Very odd business. I RARELY (if ever) leave negative reviews for local businesses but really needed to spread the word about this one

-The food was fantastic (pizzas and cheeses especially). -Decent list of wines. -The vibe is cozy as you feel like you are in a grandmas kitchen. -Lighting was dark. -The music was a bit off as it didn't match the vibe. At one point they were playing System of a Down. -They give you freshly washed hand towels. -The service was great and waiters were very pleasant. -I would recommend for a date spot because the food variety, location, and coziness of the ambiance. It is an easy atmosphere to build a connection with someone.

I walked into Sofia Wine Bar pretty randomly when looking for a spot to get a glass of wine on Google Maps. And it was perfect! The wine bar is cozy and was decorated for the holidays in such a fun way!! The wine menu is pretty extensive and well priced (with generous pours), and while I didn't eat, the food (specifically the burrata pizza) looked and smelled great. If you're in the neighborhood you should definitely stop by -- I know I'll be back!

Stopped by pre-dinner for a drink on Saturday. Good vibe, decent Italian wine list but the bartender did not speak one single word to us. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes listening to the bartender & some young women discuss why there is never a reason to go to the West Village. Finallly, a waitress comes and takes our order after which, the bartender sets them down in front of us, once again without a single word or eye contact. Realizing that he is so disinterested in our business, we asked for the check. He drops it on the bar, no eye contact and again not a word. Seemed like it could be a great spot but certainly not in a hurry to back.

This adorable Italian wine bar was perfect for a Saturday evening dinner! Such a great find! We called to make a reservation since the link on their website wasn't working. They have outdoor seating with heat lamps in front of the restaurant as well as seating in their outdoor garden. We opted to sit inside where tables were divided with glass barriers. Inside seating was small but they did have a downstairs and back room area that were not being used so plenty of space! The wine selection for wine by the glass was great and reasonably priced. We ordered the margarita pizza and the beggars purse pasta dish; both were phenomenal! The pasta came in a very light Alfredo sauce that didn't leave you feeling overly stuffed. Pizza was thin crust and perfect for sharing between two people; about 6 small slices total. The service was great and didn't mind that we lingered after we finished. Great find! I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. Shoutout to Chris who not only tended bar but worked the floor and to the lovely hostess whose name I wish I had gotten. But really the whole staff was just A+++. We shared the crispy artichokes (outstanding) and the cacio e Pepe arancini (where the fried parsley was especially unique and delicious) to start. I had the eggplant parmesan which reminded me of an eggplant dish I had in Venice -- but better. My husband had the ricotta cavatelli which was also great. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience.
