We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.

Jada made Cujo look like a fluffy puppy. About a month ago, I started the daunting task of looking for a reliable mover who wasn't going to charge me some crazy extraordinary amount. I went on Yelp and did the "select all" option for a quote. Immediately I got a response from Pavel of LUMY Moving Inc. I looked for reviews but couldn't find many. Hours later I received 4 more quotes who had numerous positive reviews and a quote of $145+ per hour! I did some research and saw LUMY was a fairly new company that was founded in 2019. I thought everyone must start somewhere so with a bit of hesitation, I decided to give them a chance. Also, Pavel's price was much more reasonable at $95 per hour. I emailed Pavel several questions along with a change of move date. He was very responsive and accommodating. Well let me tell you, these guys absolutely ROCK! They wrapped all my good furniture up so it didn't get scratched. Got all my stuff out of my old home into the new one in under 4.5 hours! More importantly, they were cautious and good about being sure my baby girls were safe (Darcy and Jada). These 2 guys went way above and beyond! When they were finished, even though they had another job to go to, asked if I needed help with anything. Before Pavel and Max left, I asked what does LUMY stand for? When they told me, I thought to myself; It's obvious isn't it? It stands for "Let Us Move You" If you are moving and seeking a awesome moving company, look no further. I can say with confidence that you would NOT be disappointed if you selected LUMY to assist you with this important day. I think back about judging them on being new and having a lack of reviews. The truth of the matter is, they worked harder than a company in business for a longtime. They want to prove themselves and build a respectable company. They unquestionably are on their way! (Focus specializes in piano moving, and I needed my childhood piano + a few other miscellaneous items transported from Massachusetts to New York.) Owner Liviu responded to my initial quote query (which was competitive) nearly immediately and within the hour confirmed he'd be able to meet my timing needs, despite the holiday season. Furthermore, though I provided a 5-6 day window, he offered to complete the move on MY ideal date. Sweet. What was great about the move itself? My mom indicated that Liviu and his right hand man showed up at her home at the exact appointed hour and that they carefully packed and protected all of the items that were to be trucked. In fact she let me know that Liviu and crew "were the best movers" she'd ever used and that she'd be using them for her own upcoming entire-home move. A bold statement, considering she's moved a LOT. Liviu was also a fab communicator. He kept me informed of his whereabouts via text message, sent email reminders and arrived on time at my delivery location as well. Additionally, Focus stuck to its quote (and then some, as Liviu delivered a couple of other less heavy items on the house without a quote adjustment), damaged nothing in transit and carefully yet swiftly manned my heavy upright Yamaha into its new abode.
