So when I initially got my storage unit here I was very happy as you can see in my previous review…read more I was able to rent a large unit where I could store a substantial amount of my belongings safely. 4 months later, although, I was informed that the cost of my unit has raised 50%! From $219 to $319. They do not offer leases so whatever they say goes or I have to go back and move a very large apartment worth of my belongings which is a complete hassle, find a new storage facility, and find the time to move all of my stuff. The only other option is to submit to their management. No possibility of any kind of a discount if I were to rent an additional unit, nothing! I understand a rent increase but to raise my rent 50% is absolutely unheard of! And after only being there for 4 months. I feel trapped now. I thought I had a stable situation with long-term storage. And again this place is very clean and secure and I feel confident about the storage of my items, however, raising someones rent by just under 50% is not fair. 10% is understandable after being there for a year. I strongly suggest that you do what I am in the process of doing now, look for a different storage facility. One that possibly offers a contract with a lease agreement.

Was referred to these guys by the movers. They were running a special (first month half off). I…read moredidn't come across any logistical issues similar to those cited in the other review. Positives: Anthony at the desk is a cool dude. Helped me out when my storage door got stuck. Negatives: Realize that there is a mandatory 15 day 'notice period'. Ask whoever's helping you out whether hitting the next month's billing cycle during that time will put you on the hook for the next whole month's rent. I got a reprieve because when I rented, the DM for the ownership was around and she told me that she'll prorate for ten days provided I give notice prior to my billing cycle start date. Still ended up paying for 20 extra days because I wasn't sure whether I would be able to move out in time. Finally, this is a comment for storage in general. Boston is a very humid place. If you're gonna be placing your moving boxes in an extreme weather situation, they might become soft and collapse, especially those closest to the storage door at the bottom. In that situation, it might be best to invest in a climate-controlled storage.
