My dish... I think? Mystery meal vibes!
    Aleks B.

The food? Almost perfect. I mean, if "unsalted and lacking flavor" is your idea of perfect--hey, close enough. The timing? Spot on. The dishes hit the table just when I was about to consider eating the napkin. And the staff? Hovering like caffeinated hummingbirds, asking every five minutes if everything was alright. So you'd think this place deserves a glowing review, right? Wrong. Why? Because "perfect" means flawless, and flawless this was not. First hiccup: when the food arrived, the person bringing it had no clue who ordered what. And, to be fair, neither did I. By the time the dishes made it to the table, I'd already forgotten what I'd ordered. The names on the menu were like Pokémon evolutions--similar but confusing. Long story short, I ended up eating someone else's meal. (It was fine, but was it mine? Who knows.) Then came the payment drama. I asked if they could bring a terminal to the table so I could tap my card like a modern human being. But no, I had to get up and walk to the front to pay at the single PoS system. In 2025, this feels like being asked to churn my own butter. Red flag, folks. Red. Flag. So yeah, there's room for improvement. Until then, this place will remain almost perfect--emphasis on "almost."

A family favorite spot. The food is always out of this world, portions are enough to give you leftovers for the next few days! The inside is simple yet cozy, the best is during the winter when they have the fireplace going! I have been here for every meal and time of day. This was the first time where we had arrived for dinner with reservations and it took about 20minutes for anyone to approach the table. I understand they were definitely short staffed was just a little surprised as we had come on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. The bread given at the table is perfectly warm and soft. Drinks are a must. The sangria here is a must try, whether you order red or white. You will not be disappointed. All of our entrees were out of this world. Amazing flavor and absolutely delicious. Our server even recommended desserts. The Creme Brûlée, cheesecake, and tres leches are all outstanding.

Chopped salad - a variety of mixed greens and veggies well chopped. Nicely prepared. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos - 3 tacos with large chunks of fresh Mahi Mahi. Garnished with red cabbage slaw and guac. Served with a side of rice. Top notch fish tacos that I highly recommend. The exterior is adorned with beautiful plants and flowers. The interior is bright and contemporary with a farmhouse vibe. Plus plenty of perfectly positioned screens to watch your favorite game. The service was on point for the most part. Our server was great but I think he was working too many tables bye himself so we kinda missed the opportunity to order a second round of drinks. We are definitely adding Black Rabbit to our regular rotation. Give it a try.

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

The menu is incredibly diverse, offering an excellent selection of pasta, seafood, chicken, and steak. The food is beautifully prepared. The lemon lobster ravioli was cooked to perfection with an outrageously delicious, perfectly balanced zesty lemon flavor. Even better was the Tartufo Risotto with black truffle--the rich flavor profile was incredible and prepared flawlessly. For dessert, the homemade pistachio cheesecake was decadent, velvety smooth, and packed with creamy flavor. We also loved the extra special Banana Strawberry Flambé, which was prepared tableside right in the intimate dining room for everyone to see! Our service team, led by Blendi, was on top of everything. They were incredibly attentive, accommodating, and welcoming. With great food, sharp service, and very decent pricing, this restaurant is highly recommended. It is an easy 5-minute drive right off Route 287. There is a small parking lot in the rear, plus plenty of local neighborhood and street parking. Reservations are recommended but not required. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant was very busy, so we did have to remind the waiters a few times about our food, which is understandable. Food: The bread was fresh, warm, and delicious. The first round of calamari was hot, crispy, and really good, although the second serving seemed reheated and had lost its crunch. The biggest issue was the entrees -- our group waited about an hour for them to arrive - minus one star. In the meantime, we kept receiving bread and calamari, so everyone was already getting full by the time the main dishes came. The beef was cooked medium-rare but was unfortunately very tough and not tender - minus one star. The pork was much better and very tender. The seafood rice was really good, especially the delicious clams and mussels. Unfortunately, it arrived so late that the group was already full and couldn't enjoy as much of it. The sangria was also good. Atmosphere: The restaurant was especially lively on the weekend, and it was great to see the place so full. A busy old fashioned dining room is always a good sign and shows that the restaurant has built a strong reputation.

We rented an Airbnb nearby and wanted a fun Sunday brunch with a beautiful view, and this restaurant absolutely delivered. We made an 11 AM reservation and were glad we arrived before the crowds started rolling in. They offered both a featured brunch menu and an extensive drink menu with lots of options for the group. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. She even took a table photo for us and later noticed us struggling to take a group picture outside after brunch -- she actually came outside to take photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and really went above and beyond for such a special occasion. The atmosphere was also so welcoming. The locals were incredibly kind, and one woman even bought our table a bottle of champagne after hearing we were celebrating a bride-to-be. It made the whole experience feel extra memorable. As someone with a gluten allergy, I really appreciated that they offered gluten-free options, including gluten-free toast. I had the spinach and feta omelet with home fries, and everything was delicious. My sister is a huge Eggs Benedict fan and loved their version as well. The location right on Greenwood Lake is beautiful. They have dock space for people arriving by boat, plus outdoor seating that would be amazing on a nice summer day. There are also two parking lots on either side of the restaurant, which made parking easy for us, although I could see it filling up quickly during peak summer weekends. The prices were definitely on the higher end, but honestly, for a nice restaurant directly on the lake with great service and atmosphere, it felt worth it. I'm already looking forward to coming back next time we're in the area!
