My dish... I think? Mystery meal vibes!
Aleks B.

The food? Almost perfect. I mean, if "unsalted and lacking flavor" is your idea of perfect--hey, close enough. The timing? Spot on. The dishes hit the table just when I was about to consider eating the napkin. And the staff? Hovering like caffeinated hummingbirds, asking every five minutes if everything was alright. So you'd think this place deserves a glowing review, right? Wrong. Why? Because "perfect" means flawless, and flawless this was not. First hiccup: when the food arrived, the person bringing it had no clue who ordered what. And, to be fair, neither did I. By the time the dishes made it to the table, I'd already forgotten what I'd ordered. The names on the menu were like Pokémon evolutions--similar but confusing. Long story short, I ended up eating someone else's meal. (It was fine, but was it mine? Who knows.) Then came the payment drama. I asked if they could bring a terminal to the table so I could tap my card like a modern human being. But no, I had to get up and walk to the front to pay at the single PoS system. In 2025, this feels like being asked to churn my own butter. Red flag, folks. Red. Flag. So yeah, there's room for improvement. Until then, this place will remain almost perfect--emphasis on "almost."

Came in on a packed Friday night, our server was the bartender but she was very nice. Drinks were ok I couldn't finish it. I ordered a chicken dish which next time i will go with steak. Chicken and sauce had no seasoning or flavor, artichokes were from a can. Will give another try as I liked the pork chop my cousin ordered.

A family favorite spot. The food is always out of this world, portions are enough to give you leftovers for the next few days! The inside is simple yet cozy, the best is during the winter when they have the fireplace going! I have been here for every meal and time of day. This was the first time where we had arrived for dinner with reservations and it took about 20minutes for anyone to approach the table. I understand they were definitely short staffed was just a little surprised as we had come on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. The bread given at the table is perfectly warm and soft. Drinks are a must. The sangria here is a must try, whether you order red or white. You will not be disappointed. All of our entrees were out of this world. Amazing flavor and absolutely delicious. Our server even recommended desserts. The Creme Brûlée, cheesecake, and tres leches are all outstanding.

Inconsistent service. I had been to this place last year when they had outdoor dining in the parking lot. Service and the food was good. Unfortunately today service was bad. I think they were very understaffed; however, our server was unpleasant and unfriendly. Pros: good food, large portions, parking Cons: poor service

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

That said, the vibe leans loud and a bit chaotic (mall energy is real here). The staff are clearly well trained and hustling, but they're stretched thin, so expect a few small misses in service. Nothing major, just not seamless. Overall, you're paying a premium, but the kitchen earns it. Just don't come expecting a quiet, polished dining experience.

We came here for a private birthday party and got a room in the back for just our party. Once we were sat the server took drink orders without having to wait for everyone to be there, they gave us complimentary bread as we waiting for everyone to come in and settle down. Then we got our appetizers, the shellfish tower, the meat, the shrimps, the crab cakes. Then we had salads and soups and got the lobster bisque, the Caesar salad, the wedge chopped with bacon, and all of it was so amazing, I was stuffed by this point but we were just getting started. The filet mignon was by far the best steak made there, but the Ny strip was also really good. The Mac and cheese was the best side ever, but the rice was also good and so was the asparagus. For dessert the bananas foster was the absolute best but the other desserts (chocolate lava cake and creme brulee were also amazing) All in all this was the best night with the best friends and the best food, the drinks were also always good and the servers kept them coming. It was a bit pricey but it was worth every penny.

Robert was absolutely amazing as our waiter. He is so present and gives such great service at times I thought he might have a twin. There were a couple of small bones but I thought the piece of fish was fresh and yummy. The veggies and potatoes were a nice accompaniment. I had the pistachio dessert and that was perfect also! While waiting for our son and wife and two daughters we sat at the bar and watched as just about everyone coming in were greeted by the owner Regina with a warm hello and a hug. You could just tell that this was a place we were going to like. Once we were all seated we were brought delicious bruschetta and olives and cheese to whet our appetite. My son and daughter in law each had a dirty martini which they said was perfect. We shared some clams oreganata which really were very good. It would be hard to say which entree was the best. They were all so good; I had the ahi tuna with carmelized onions, mashed potatoes and vegetables, our son had the oso buco, which was mouth watering delicious and our wives both had the lemon sole with the girls rounding off the table with spaghetti and meatballs. This is probably the longest review I've written but believe me Cenzino's deserves it. Rob, who took care of us all night made everything special for our granddaughters, even bringing them in the back to get their desert. Regina came over to our table and by the time we left we felt like we'd known her forever. So, if your looking for a high end, friendly and beautiful atmosphere that serves delicious food make your reservation here.

We rented an Airbnb nearby and wanted a fun Sunday brunch with a beautiful view, and this restaurant absolutely delivered. We made an 11 AM reservation and were glad we arrived before the crowds started rolling in. They offered both a featured brunch menu and an extensive drink menu with lots of options for the group. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. She even took a table photo for us and later noticed us struggling to take a group picture outside after brunch -- she actually came outside to take photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and really went above and beyond for such a special occasion. The atmosphere was also so welcoming. The locals were incredibly kind, and one woman even bought our table a bottle of champagne after hearing we were celebrating a bride-to-be. It made the whole experience feel extra memorable. As someone with a gluten allergy, I really appreciated that they offered gluten-free options, including gluten-free toast. I had the spinach and feta omelet with home fries, and everything was delicious. My sister is a huge Eggs Benedict fan and loved their version as well. The location right on Greenwood Lake is beautiful. They have dock space for people arriving by boat, plus outdoor seating that would be amazing on a nice summer day. There are also two parking lots on either side of the restaurant, which made parking easy for us, although I could see it filling up quickly during peak summer weekends. The prices were definitely on the higher end, but honestly, for a nice restaurant directly on the lake with great service and atmosphere, it felt worth it. I'm already looking forward to coming back next time we're in the area!
