It's a five there's really nothing wrong with this place. It's a marina located restaurant and it has all the aesthetics and waters front feeling that the fun food place with great service warrants.

The food and drinks are good and somewhat pricey. We've always had good service there (with the exception of one bartender who we try to avoid). It's a great place for drinks on the lake any time of the year but can get overcrowded in the summer months. Sometimes there is live music which is always a plus.

They told us this was the same dirty ice from the same drink, the lavender lemon drop. We tasted it, and it was just sugar water.

I have loved D'Boathaus and been a patron for at least the past 6 months. But today has changed my mind. I will not be returning. I asked for a simple cocktail and they couldn't get it right three times. They even went so far as to say that if someone else orders the drink I ordered they'll give me a bit of theirs?! And after asking again, the bartender literally just put sugar water over ice and gave it to us. (Picture included) On top of that the tuna from the tuna poke was not fresh and I could only eat one bite without feeling I would get food poisoning. I'm always sure to be friendly and warm to waiters and waitresses as I have been one myself, but when all you're met with is a complete lack of care whether you get the right drink, it feels like something is very off... Apparently their new business model is to treat customers like garbage and offer extremely slow service. After talking with the manager about our discontent he agreed with us, took our food and disappeared. He comped the tuna poke but not any of the drinks, which was our main issue. Eventually he came back out of the kitchen and I asked him about this, and he changed the bill and comped one drink, but it didn't feel like any of this sunk in. At this point we just felt like inconvenience that they didn't want to deal with instead of apologizing and rectifying the situation.

I was recommended to D'Boathaus by a friend, and made my way over for dinner on a Monday. A nice surprise to be told that Mondays are all day happy hour! Half off appetizers? Yes, please! I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and the lamb special. It came with a cherry au ju and risotto. It took awhile for the dip to arrive, but the customer service was top notch, and the dip was delicious. The cherry with the lamb was so yummy, and I loved having a few cherries to enjoy with it! So good. I look forward to returning when it's warmer out and enjoying the outdoor lake views. and I even heard there's live music? Oh, for sure!

Great spot located right on picturesque Greenwood Lake. Very clean and nicely appointed with an upscale vibe. You can choose to dine inside or out. Both areas are very comfortable. Impressive menu full of heavy hitters which made it difficult to decide what to order. We started with an order of roasted chicken wings with sweet chili glaze. They only use Bell & Evan's chicken and the wings were perfectly prepared. Top tier wings for sure. I ordered the Burrata salad as my main course. A dollop of Burrata cheese over a bed of arugula, sliced tomatoes with a few slivers of prosciutto for balance. Topped with a little balsamic glaze and a splash of EVOO. The portion was a bit small for the price but it was excellent none the less. My wife ordered the steak sandwich. We requested medium rare and that's exactly what we received. The meat was exceptionally tender and flavorful. Served with horseradish sauce and shoestring fries. Winning! We ordered coffee and split a piece of carrot cake for desert and it did not disappoint. Also, Katherine, our server was phenomenal. Couldn't have been nicer. Her recommendations were spot on. We took a county ride out to this place simply based on the location. We hope to return soon. Only next time, simply based on the food.

We all loved our meals. Here for a weekday lunch and place was pretty crowded which was a good sign. Waitress attentive. Beautiful location and lovely building right on the lake

The location and view are what led us to come here after a hike nearby. It was a beautiful and warm Saturday evening on a holiday weekend, perfect weather, so we expected a wait at dinner time, but were seated more quickly than projected. We were told 45+ minutes for outdoor seating and 30 min for indoor, but got a table in probably 20 minutes. We walked around the marina a bit and ordered beers from the bar to enjoy on the outdoor deck while we waited, so it was as pleasant as can be. We requested outdoor seating which wasn't available sooner, but the hostess was able to seat us right by an open patio door with view of the lake, which was actually perfect as it was starting to cool down in the evening, so we had the benefit of being warm "indoors" while enjoying an "outdoor" view and nice fresh air. The menu isn't large and includes about 4-5 appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and entrees in each category. We ordered the burger and the fried cod sandwich, both of which are quite tasty. The cod sandwich comes with a massive thicket of cole slaw, more than I'd normally like, but the slaw is great. However the cod sort of got lost in there, and lacked crunch. I appreciated being given a side choice of fries (regular shoestring, sweet potato, or tater tots). Next time I'll have to order the scallops which look really good. The staff were all friendly and did their jobs well, from the hostess to our waitress (Nita?) to the bartender. We enjoyed the lakeside ambience - the marina faces east so no sunset, but the view and open air really add to the experience.

Wow. This was one of the most pleasant surprises in recent memory. I met up here with two of my top-tier chums this past Sunday for lunch; we all live in very different parts of the tristate area and this was determined to be pretty equidistant between all parties, if that gives you some indication of the radical disparity in locations. Two of us are natives of the area west of 287, which is basically code for being VERY skeptical about restaurants in the middle of nowhere. I do a ton of hiking in this area (mostly Sterling State Forest) and there are not a lot of decent post-hike eating options in the vicinity. I'm 100% figuring out a way to come here for every one of those hikes going forward though. The weather was just starting to rebound when we showed up, and it's a nice spot - it's RIGHT on Greenwood Lake, so you have an amazing view if you opt for any of the outdoor seating. We were out on the porch area, but it looked like you could venture further out to the Adirondack chairs closer to the water. All excellent options. The only downside is you're also right next to a surprisingly busy state highway - I saw a sign for complimentary valet parking (spoiler alert - there's no such thing, really - you have to tip at the very least), rolled my eyes and impulsively parked in the small dirt parking lot on the other side of the road. Don't do that. It's super annoying to back out when you leave; just drive past the restaurant and go in the parking lot on the other side. Who knew this many people drove through West Milford? I'd looked at the menu beforehand and got pretty tingly when I saw Crawfish Monica as one of the items - I LOVE crawfish, even if they're miniscule here compared to their brethren down in NOLA. And I love them even more when I'm not the one peeling them. This was legitimately delicious and a generous portion. I stopped talking to my buds for a while and just focused on consuming this wonderment. It's got a little kick to it, as one would expect from crawfish, but definitely not overwhelming so, and I was very pleased at how many pieces of actual crawfish were in here - even in my last few bites, it took up more space on the plate than the pasta. Love to see it. I also impulsively ordered a slice of chocolate layer cake, which was also excellent. Moist and flavorful (one chum was promised a bite and hurriedly stuck her fork in the end when it was clear the item was disappearing fast). Our waitress Sophia was an absolute superstar from beginning to end. She was extremely personable and friendly, and went above and beyond when she really didn't have to. As an example, my chums asked if iced coffee was available and it sounded like it wasn't a regular item on the menu. She made it herself, came by a few times with updates (apologizing for the wait but wanting to ensure the coffee was cooled enough before putting the ice cubes in) until finally presenting them for refreshment. This is my all-time Bitch Pack and they've watched a lot of hospitality people just not know how to deal with my personality. We're now at a point though where they pretty much automatically love/reward waitstaff that do, so everyone at our table had positive things to say. This is flat-out not the same experience without her. I probably would have come back for the crawfish alone, but the scenery and service makes this one a keeper.

I highly recommend this place! Great ambiance, excellent service and beautiful view of the marina. The food was outstanding and please do yourself a favorite and order the Philly cheesesteak. You won't regret it! I'm definitely coming back!

Yummy food. Great salads and good bar food. The drinks are fabulous and the atmosphere is great for any sporting event. I wished it was warmer so we could check out the views of lake. Definitely worth a stop. The service was great too.

A solid 4 stars! This was a nice find after visiting in Warwick NY. I am an avid boater and diver mainly boating in the NYC area so it's great when you find a nice restaurant on a lake which is so much calmer than the waters in and around New York Harbor. Great place for casual dining, located by the marina at beautiful Greenwood Lake in New Jersey. You can pull your boat up to the restaurant where they have about 30 slips available to dock at. I think they have only been open since July and are doing a great job so far. You may think this is a sports bar with a number of TV's on the wall. Nicely decorated, casual dining and dress, overall the food was excellent, our server was very nice and accommodating. If I'm being picky there was too long of a wait between the appetizers and entrees. I appreciate that as the night before I was on a time limit at the restaurant I went to only they did not tell us until they said they had a reservation waiting. Here was totally different, we were not rushed and by the comments I read by the owner he appears very inviting and asks you to hang out. I'm sure they will be very busy during the summer so I look forward to coming back and see how they evolve over time. There were 3 of us and for appetizers we shared the seared sesame tuna which was excellent! Served rare with seaweed salad. We also had the vegetable dumplings, both were great dishes. For mains we had the D'Smash burger which was a double patty, cheese, bacon if you want that, on a potato roll served with fries. We also had the Poke Bowl which was the best dish in my opinion. Ahi tuna, jasmine rice, edamame, crispy wontons, seaweed avocado, and mango wasabi creme. We also had the Trofie pasta which was a short squiggly thin pasta, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, arugula and garlic white wine. We did not have desert although I'm sure it would have been good. They have a large bar area, outdoor seating and as it's new everything was in pristine condition. I would definitely recommend them and will be back for sure.

By far the best restaurant on Greenwood Lake! Always amazing food and service. We love coming by boat or jetski, they have tons of dock space!

It was our first time here on the boat. We keep a boat on Greenwood Lake and we came here tonight for dinner. We were a little skeptical at first because the crowd seemed to be a little bit snobby. But we ended up meeting very nice people, and we had the most amazing experience with our waitress and the bartending staff. Our server Angelina was absolutely amazing. We were laughing and joking the rest of the night. Like I said we met other great people there and we hung out at the bar area having a great time. It's a really great atmosphere. It's right on the water. They have a beautiful outdoor patio area and then a really nice indoor bar area. We had oysters and grouper and it was amazing. But the highlight to the night was our waitress Angelina she had such a bubbly and friendly personality. It really made our night and we can't wait to come back. The bartender was extremely friendly and had a great sense of humor also. As much as some of the patrons were not very sociable all the staff was amazing and very friendly. We can't wait to come back and have the same experience again.
