Burger with Fries

Came here with my friends after the New York Renaissance Fair. The restaurant is next to and technically connected to the Double Tree there, but we didn't stay there and had no problems parking and dining. Food was absolutely delicious! My group enjoyed everything they had. The highlight was the spinach and artichoke dip with pita- a MUST HAVE!! My burger was also cooked exactly how I wanted and the fries were tasty. I tried my brother's margarita pizza that he order and that was amazing too. The service was good, but the inside of the restaurant was very loud with a band playing, so we chose to sit outside. Outside was very lovely though. Will definitely return next time I am in the area!

So delicious! This is such a fun restaurant and our waiter so kind and personable. Food was amaziiiing!! For an appetizer we had the grilled calamari and cotopus and it was spectacular. For entrées, we had the seafood cappelini and the pesto chicken panini. both were incredible and tasty. Great portions and lots of seafood in the pasta!!! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. They have fun trivia at every table (:

What a great little place. The menu was good. They had a good happy hour offer. Anna, one of the bartenders made a great paper plane. I had the octopus and calamari grilled plate. It was very tasty. They also serve breakfast but alas I have to meet a colleague at a nearby cafe, so that will have to wait for next time.

Interesting and looked promising... I had dinner as it is next door to the hotel i was staying at, which you can access from inside the hotel. I often look for hotels with a "restaurant on premises" when i am traveling so that i don't have to go back out for dinner. Service was slowwww even though i was practically the only one there. Everyone was starting to break down for the evening and kinda ignoring me. It was an hour to closing, so I ordered the pasta and broccoli to be safe. The next morning there was buffet breakfast set-up. It's a pretty big place with tables and booths and a big semi circle bar. They had the windows open to the street side and it was kinda chilly. There was a couple eating at a booth near me, and for breakfast I was the only customer. Breakfast food was kinda cold- i looked and saw that the sterno cans had gone out. "Well breakfast is almost over" was the response i got when i mentioned it to a server. Then i listened to her and another employee talk about their schedules practically right in front of me the entire time i was eating. Not a great selling point for hotel.

Came here on a whim as it was suggested to me by Yelp. At the Double Tree hotel by Hilton in Mahwah between upstate NY and 20 min from the GWB (NYC). This place came as a sweet surprise!! Jason our server (a student at Ramapo college) was excellent this was his 3rd shift at this restaurant and he was so nice!! The place was very empty with just two other tables occupied when we arrived. The restaurant itself was very nice and updated had very nice seating and a nice bar. Would be a great place to rent out and throw a party. They have happy hour during the day on Saturday & Sundays and the prices were good. I ordered the chicken wings (6) very nice and crispy with just the right amount of buffalo sauce and truffle Parmesan fries (huge portion) and they were crunchy and delicious too, Meanwhile my husband had the Cheeseburger and French Fries lunch special and he enjoyed it very much. I also ordered two speciality drinks which were $10 each and didn't disappoint, I had two different ones and they were both delicious made from Santiago the bartender. They seem to have a lot of things going during the week... karaoke, open Mike night, comedians etc...We'd love to come back for a comedy night and see what the vibe is like because I'm sure there must be more people and things too look around at then when we went. I hope the place stays I hope Jason is still a waiter if and when I go back since he was so easy to talk to and you could tell a hard worker. Overall I give Booyah an A for food & service. Again would like to go back just to see the ambiance at night, and hopefully we do that soon!!

Great vibe, service and food. Attentive hostess, lovely, attentive waiter, great menu, wonderful band. I'm just sorry I was too full to eat more

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Typical AYCE sushi and sashimi menu with a variety kitchen and sushi menu items listed out on an ordering sheet - small salads, appetizers, soups, tempura, noodles, hibachi, teriyaki, desserts/ice cream, sashimi, sushi, sushi rolls and special rolls. + Kitchen food items were all good, no complaints. Each serving of the kitchen items was a small appetizer portion of food. Highlights included: ++++ Tempura was superrrr hot and fresh. ++++ Loved that the Kani Salad had tempura flakes mixed in to add texture. ++++ Hibachi beef was very tasty. + AYCE fish quality (salmon, eel, white tuna, pepper salmon, egg custard, etc.) were all very fresh and very good. Tried just about all of the sashimi options and there were no issues with any of it. + Restaurant also has a cajun food/boil menu too! THE SERVICE ------------------- + Waiters and waitresses (including the helper kids) were all very quick with bringing food out and removing dirty plates to prevent overcrowding on our table. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Very spacious interior with lots of tables. + Private parking lot is shared with a tile business. Spaces in front were occupied, but there were more spaces towards the side by the other business. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Was busy on an August Friday evening at 6-7:30 PM, but there were still plenty of open tables. = Oddly, they ran out of white tuna around 7 PM and posted it on their entrances so that new customers would be aware. Kind of strange that they ran out of inventory

We have made the trek over an hour, 4 times now- fully intending to support more pop-up events…read more Each time, Angelo and his team deliver authentic Italian goods. If it matters, the dude's an underground metalhead. His Porchetta is the best I have had thus far in the country. Juicy, flavourful, crunchy, herby, fatty- everything it ought to be. To boot, it is cooked in a wood fired oven. Speaking of which- the olives- the wood-fired olives. What an absolute delight- briny & smokey. Make a caponata with them immediately. Let it sit a day. When he makes the cotoletta - order a dozen. As a NYer, these are some of the best I have had the pleasure of consuming- thin, herby, salty, moist- perfetto! Prison Food. If you are unaware- I am eternally sorry for you. It is a multi-generational prize. Sausage. Peas. Simple equates to brilliance. There are also always unique grocery items in the shop- Angelo normally has a personal stpry for each- be it a family member or friend who makes said item. Cheeses. Taralli- especially the Grano Arso. Sicilian Capers. Loads of curated Olive Oils for differing culinary experiences. He works with phenomenal bread and pastry bakeries. This would have fit in back in the day of Dyker Heights or olde Williamsburg. There are always samples. Ask questions- this place deserves so much more positive attention. It is a tiny spot with an immense amount of pride and heart. Pre-order. Add in when you get there. Keep this place going!!!! Well done, my friend. Grazie!

Let's talk about heaven…read more... This is it. If the owner ever opens a sit down restaurant I want a standing reservation for the rest of my life. From the pizza to the fresh mozzarella to the cook at home porchetta there has never been a miss and I am a critical foodie...but my god...everything is delicious. We picked up a porchetta for the holiday and a hush fell over the table...every bite was succulent and cooked to perfection which was lovely because my husband took point and was able to easily handle it from the instructions. Now the bad. (Entirely unserious) Oh. The bad is that the young man at the counter didn't physically twist my arm to get 2 orders of EVERYTHING. The Cacio e Pepe fritters are life changing I would eat a bowl the size of my head and then a dozen of these fried bites of heaven. HEAVEN. He was too nice he should have told us to buy more We love the ability to grab the nectars and imported beverages by the single or 4 back, the garlic bread is absurd, the mozzarella sticks are soooooo creamy dreamy and the meatballs? Don't tell my mom...the reigning champ has been dethroned by Angelo, the angel we all needed because this man can COOOOOOK.

Sangria's has been a go-to for us for years for good tapas and sangria, but we've now had issues on…read moreour last two visits, and this most recent one was especially frustrating. The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.
