AMAZING! I am sooo fortunate to live in the same town as this amazing new restaurant. We got the seafood boil for two with crab, shrimp, clams, and sausage. We also got a side order of the garlic noodles. We will be back next week !!

I am giving 4 stars for this fairly new Pho spot in the neighborhood. The food was pretty good but I am sure there's some room for improvement. The pho soup was flavorful but I was a little disappointed with the cut of the beef. It felt like it was ordered straight from a deli place or Hmart. The fried spring rolls were tasty but thought it was too oily when it was served and the lettuce can be a a little fresher. I can also use more lettuce and mint leaves as I love to roll my spring rolls with lettuce , and cucumber when I eat them. The ambience was great, loved the authentic asian touch. There's just too much going on with the menu tho, they also have Thai and Seafood boil. The service was prompt. Overall, I am glad with the addition of this new restaurant in the area, just very timely for the winter.

Decided to try the local pho place on a extremely cold day in Jan. We were greeted by Chris, the manager as soon as we entered. Chris was very attentive and upbeat. Place has a nice vibe and good music. The restaurant offers pho as well as seafood boils. Food was really good, we got the Beef brisket pho and peppered calamari. Both of them were very flavorful. Will definitely go back.

The sugar can shrimp is so good Summer roll is very fresh. The beef pho is the Best in NJ. We will be back very soon.

We enjoyed very very good broths here. The spring rolls had a dredging taste to them, and I have to say the peanut dipping sauce was extremely good! I am typically not a fan because it has an overpowering peanut taste that almost gives me peanut butter vibes. I did not taste that here and I would get it again just to dip other foods in it as I did.

Great alternative to Vietnam Pho. Plan to make it our home base for Pho from now on. ;)

From the moment we walked in the vibe was amazing! The staff welcomed us with smiling faces and excellent service! We felt like family and good friends! The food was absolutely delicious! My sister and I came in for a lunch and we couldn't decide between a place with Pho and seafood boil... this restaurant had BOTH! So we ordered one of each and it did not disappoint! The pho broth felt like it had been marinating for hours and soaking up all the Vietnamese flavors! The star anise was chefs kiss! Ingredients and beef were fresh! We ate every last drop! We also ordered the shrimp and crab seafood boil! Man oh man soo good! The lemon butter homemade seasoning made you want to even eat the shells of the seafood! Also they offered lunch discounts!! Highly recommend for environment, family friendly staff and delicious seafood! Thank you Chris and Boiling Pho staff!

Fairly new pho spot in the area, their flavors are down pack! Just need to work out starter kinks! The furniture placement was annoying you have to move the both furniture to ensure it's not to far away from the table house pho or s authentic but can use more meat. It would be a nice touch to add sauces on the table. Staff is friendly but seems they have a lot to do.

Pho-king delicious…read more It was one of the coldest days of the year and we were craving a comforting bowl of pho (rice noodle soup) to warm ourselves up. We visited Vietnam Pho in Woodland Park, located on Rt 46. It's in a business complex so there's plenty of parking. It's a casual, cozy, and family-owned restaurant with a spacious seating area. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The menu offers all of the Vietnamese classics you're craving - steaming bowls of pho, vermicelli noodles topped with fresh vegetables, crispy banh mi sandwiches, stir-fries, and a variety of grilled meats like lemongrass pork and chicken. And if you're a boba lover, they even have bubble tea. Prices are reasonable, but here's a big tip: You get a 10% discount when you pay with cash. There's an ATM inside. There were a few hits and misses with our order, but overall we left feeling satisfied with our meal. The misses: *Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk ($5.95) - This was much sweeter and thicker than I expected! It tasted more like a dessert drink than an iced coffee. The condensed milk's sweetness overpowered the coffee flavor. I have a big sweet tooth, so I still enjoyed it. But if you're sensitive to sugar, you might want to skip this or ask for less milk. *Fresh Shrimp/Summer Rolls with poached shrimp, vermicelli, & peanut sauce ($7.95) - Not a fan. The rolls were bland and mostly just filled with vermicelli noodles. The peanut sauce was a let down. The flavors were off and it had a watery consistency. It barely tasted like peanuts. I don't know if they used too much vinegar or sugar, but either way... the ingredients were completely unbalanced. Now for the hits... We came for the STAR DISH: PHO! Every order comes with rice noodles, beef broth, white onions, scallions, and cilantro with a side of bean sprouts, lime, basil, and jalapeno peppers. We ordered: *Pork Chop Pho ($16.95) - I absolutely loved the lemongrass marinade (made with lemongrass, fish sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, & shallots)! The meat was juicy, sweet, and savory. I could tell the chef grilled it perfectly because of the smoky charred edges. *Rare Beef & Well Done Brisket Pho ($14.95 size small) - They did not skimp out on the protein here! The beef cuts were large, tender, and flavorful! The broth was the heart of the pho - aromatic, warm, and rich! The spices (cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, and coriander) made it taste even better. I always enjoy adding hot chili and hoisin sauce for that extra heat and sweetness. The noodles were silky smooth and soaked up all that beefy broth. Yum, yum! And you can't forget about loading up on the garnishes to add a satisfying crunch and more flavor in every slurp! Pho was the perfect comfort food on the coldest day of the year~

We ordered the summer rolls, the pho tai, and the combo pho (#6) along with lemonade and Vietnamese iced coffee. The main thing about this place is that it's homey and CHEAP. The large bowl of combo pho is only $9.25. The summer rolls are only $5.99 for four. The portions are a little smaller than other pho places, but the food does taste good. I especially liked their homemade chili hot sauce. Definitely would return if i'm looking for a lighter meal.

My vegetarian pho was okay, not the best I've had. It had peas, corn, and green beans that looked like they were from a frozen mixed vegetable pack. The summer rolls were refreshing and thankfully only had a small amount of Thai basil, as I find it to be too strong for my taste. The whole reason I came was because I was craving pho, and it really hit the spot. The pho came preassembled and I wasn't able to add my own lime, but the ratio of everything was perfect so I didn't mind. The broth was a little cloudy but it was so delicious. The servings were big so I ended up taking about half of my bowl home. It didn't taste as good reheated but that's to be expected. After learned that they couldn't add a fried egg and no sausage option with the grilled pork, I opted for the three meat combo over rice instead, beef, chicken and lamb. The meat were flavorful and honestly I couldn't tell between lamb and beef in the end. But it was so good, especially with the fish sauce, yummy. Kids enjoyed the fried rice and wanted more of the spring rolls. Only dish that we were thrilled by was the beef stew, ok to skip. The place is small with limited seating. If you are a party of more than four you could have a hard time with tables. We arrived early, which was a good thing, as more and more people came in, including some families, and eventually there was a line of people trying to eat here. The service was friendly, though a tad slow, likely because they were overwhelmed. Since I had a headache, I got a Vietnamese Iced Coffee/Cà Phê Sữa Dá for $5.99. This was properly done, being lightly sweet with plenty of strong coffee flavor. On a side note, instead of the standard sriracha, they have a much tastier Vietnamese brand of hot sauce here, which I appreciated. We started with two appetizers. As they were out of the Curry Chicken Skewers/Gà Xiên Nướng Cà Rị, we started with the Lemongrass Beef Skewers/Bò Nướng Xả for $9.95, served with spring onion, fried onion flakes, and soybean peanut sauce. This was my favorite dish of the evening as the beef had plenty of lemongrass flavor, and was tender and juicy. The little side salad was a good accompaniment, and the sauce was nice, but not needed. I would recommend this heavily. We also got the Summer Rolls/Gỏi Cuốn for $7.49, with vermicelli, lettuce, mint leaves, pickled daikon, and peanut sauce. Said dish has a choice between shrimp and tofu, and we got the latter. These were standard with a slightly chewy wrapper and plenty of vegetables. This was nice and refreshing with a good peanut sauce. For my main dish, I got the Grilled Vermicelli Platter/Bún Thịt Nướng with Mỹ Tho vermicelli noodles, assorted vegetables, mint, and house dressing. The price depends on topping, and I got the $15.49 option with a combo of three, with my choices being pork, spring rolls, and beef. As with the appetizer, the beef was tender and had some lemongrass flavor. The pork was on the bone and likely marinated similarly to the beef and was also tasty, though a bit less tender. The spring rolls were freshly fried being hot and crunchy, though a little oily. They were my least favorite part, but I've never been the biggest fan of spring rolls, regardless of culture, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The fish sauce added a mild sweetness to the cold vermicelli, and I liked the dish a bit more once I added their hot sauce as per usual. This was good overall and a good portion size to boot. Another person got a Pho with beef and brisket for $12.99, and there was also a decently priced Combination Pho/Phở Dặc Biệt for the same price as my entree. I tried a bit of the broth, which was good, and there were plenty of noodles. The last person, who was not as hungry, ordered a very reasonably priced Chicken Bahn Mi/Bánh Mì Gà for $8.95, which they liked. This was an above-average Vietnamese place, and I could see why there were lines to get in. The food was decently priced, the meat was cooked properly, and the portions were nice. I would recommend it if you're in the area and you're looking for Vietnamese food.

Parking can be a bit tricky given its location near a major road, but there is metered parking right out front. One thing I really appreciated was the thoughtful packaging. Instead of wrapping everything in paper/foil (which traps steam and softens the bread), they use takeaway containers that keep the banh mi bread crispy and intact. The portions are generous! I don't think I've ever had a bahn mi with so much protein! I personally asked for extra cilantro on some of the sandwiches which is why the cilantro looks so obnoxious in the pictures. Everything was solid and satisfying! The lemongrass chicken bahn mi stood out with its aromatic flavor. The Saigon special bahn mi though, could've used a bit more presence from the mayo and pate to enhance the flavors. Sounds weird, but surprisingly, the sardines in tomato sauce bahn mi was better than it sounds. It was savory and definitely worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. The summer rolls were fresh, clean, and a great complement to the sandwiches. My only note: I wish the pickled carrots and radish had a bit more tang. They leaned mild rather than punchy. Overall, a reliable spot with thoughtful touches and flavorful options. I'd come back again.
