Combination with rare beef, brisket and tendon and tripe
Dragonlady L.

Promptly greeted upon arrival and sat in a table in the corner as it was just for me. Ordered the combination Pho and some other items for takeout including lemongrass pork chop and rice and lemongrass chicken on rice and fish ball pho. Everything is really fresh, love the spacious seating, and the food was so tasty and plentiful. Highly recommended.

DC is the can of Diet Coke.

I was looking at my receipt for lunch and I just realized I was charged $7 (DC) for a can of Diet Coke, WTH!!! Not sure if that was mistake or not. Next time i will always ask the price of the drink before I order. Seriously $7 for a can of soda.

Spring rolls

Came for lunch on a Saturday and had an amazing meal here! To start, the complimentary spiced peanuts are so good. Ordered the fried spring rolls, house combination pho and a sesame ball for dessert. Spring rolls were perfect; as for the pho, the broth was great and the beef was super tender. Will try the summer rolls and grilled pork chop next time!

Mango sticky rice

Two years later since my review and I still come here whenever I'm craving Vietnamese food. I recommend this place to everyone! The food is always so delicious and service is great. Also tried mango sticky rice for the first time and wow it is so good. If you are a texture person, this might not be for you. The rice is definitely sticky and warm. The mango was sweet. And coconut milk topped on everything is literally the perfect combo. The coconut milk is not too sweet Never had the lemongrass pork chops here but they really hit the spot! So flavorful. I was craving soup and rice so I ordered both and my craving was definitely satisfied

Nothing cures a bad headache like a large bowl of pho. This was our second time at Binh Duong and we left feeling very satisfied! This is a delicious and affordable Vietnamese restaurant located in a mini plaza in Bloomfield. The parking lot is small with limited spots, but you'll be able to find street parking nearby. We came as a party of two shortly after opening time (11am) on a Labor Day Monday and were seated immediately. The interior is spacious, modern, and inviting with plenty of seating for small and large groups. The menu is veryyy extensive. The star dish is pho, but there's other options like rice platters, sandwiches, noodles, and salads. Lots of proteins to choose from like chicken, beef, pork, seafood, and tofu. Most entrees are under $20 with big portions, so it's a great value! I ordered... *Thai Iced Tea $7 - Wayyyy too much milk and sugar :/ The black tea was very weak. *House Combination Pho (Phở Dặc Biệt) $17 - This included beef broth, brisket, tripe, tendon, rare eye of round steak, and rice noodles. It was garnished with white onion, cilantro, scallions, bean sprouts, basil, and jalapeno peppers. Verrrry fragrant and fresh! I added a bit of chili sauce, lime, and hoisin sauce. I felt REVIVED after eating this. The portion size was more than enough. There was a generous amount of meat and noodles. The various beef cuts were all tender and offered a range of different textures and flavors. The broth was the heart of the pho. It was aromatic, warm, and rich. It was heavily spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, and coriander, which enhanced the beefy flavor. The noodles were smooth, slightly chewy, and absorbed the flavors of the broth well. The chili and hoisin sauces added some extra heat and sweetness. The garnishes added a nice crunch with every bite. *Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop $17 -The pork was so juicy and tender. The marinade (lemongrass, fish sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, shallots) brought out sweet and savory flavors. I could tell the chef grilled it perfectly because of the smoky char and caramelization. This will be one of my go-to spots for pho in the area!

Tucked at the East/West Shopping Plaza in Bloomfield, this establishment was named after the southernmost province north of Ho Chi Minh City, the owner's home in Vietnam. Upon entering Binh Duong for lunch after 3 years, I was greeted by the staff and got a table by the window at their expanded and updated interior. It's amazing to see how far they've come. Their menu was extensive, filled with authentic Vietnamese cuisine. As an appetizer, I went for the summer rolls (gỏi cuốn) with tofu, which seem almost like oversized party favors tightly wrapped, served cold, thanks to their translucent rice paper served with the thick peanut sauce. The rice noodles stapled in Asian cuisine added the perfect chewy bite and texture to these rolls. They've got every variety of noodle soup imaginable filled to the brim not just with noodles. The pho is one of the most popular dishes on the menu, with a dozen interpretations available with beef, pork, chicken, etc. I went for the Phở Dặc Biệt with eye of round, brisket, tripe, and tendon. One can customize the bowl by adding bean sprouts, basil, lime, hoisin sauce, or hot sauce. The Pho broth was rich in color and was very flavorful. The beef combo Pho was packed with meat and was well worth the price. This was healthy, fresh, and fragrant food, served by a friendly staff in a family-owned BYO, and is the reason why they have a devoted customer following, which I can continue to recommend.

Viet coffee

My favorite Viet cuisine in the area hands down. Can't believe I've been coming here for so long and never gave them Yelp loving... Their location is in a tiny strip mall with parking (which can be a bit tight at times since it is shared with multiple restaurants and an Asian food mart) has recently expanded their interior to accommodate many more people (and when I say recently, a while back according to the waitress). It's not only bigger, but much nice looking than the old and cramped hole in the wall it was before. The food is excellent, I have never been disappointed here. The Pho is great, Bahn Mi awesome, the egg rolls we can never go without, and all the rice and noodle dishes are spot on and plentiful.

Brisket Pho

I've been coming here for years and it is my favorite spot for authentic Vietnamese food. The pho's broth is so rich and flavorful. The portions are huge and leave you satisfied. We were seated right away on a Saturday night. Food came out extremely quickly - we had our summer rolls within minutes of ordering them!

Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli Noodles
Celena C.

Nice family-owned business with a very extensive menu. I got the Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli, and the chicken was tender and juicy. Wish there were a few more pieces of chicken, but overall it was good. Would return if I was in the area!

Came here for dinner the other day with a group and was quite disappointed in the food we got. Drinks were average and tasted a bit watered down with too much sugar. These were the ones my table ordered that I got to try: Young coconut juice - felt watered down Tried sugar cane juice - tasted a bit wired Thai tea - overly sweet Sparkling lemonade with no sparks - think they messed this one up, tasted like sugar water with one slice of lemon Pickle salted lemonade was really salty Food wise, I tried these Beef cube - tastes over cooked Chicken - average Pork vermicelli - was ok Pho was meh too - had this Asian medicine taste Overall not sure how they got such high ratings... and they were super busy with lots of customers filling the space. It was so hot and felt like the air conditioner wasn't working, opening the door was even better and got us some air. Quite disappointing with the experience and the flavor of the food. Staff were very friendly but I wished the food tasted better.

House made peanuts
John C.

Pho is pretty good, better than the usual pho places in NJ. About $15 for a large bowl and you get free house made peanuts. The broth is great and the portion is generous. Parking is a bit of a pain due to the limited amount of space and on top of that there's a sign that says 15 minutes limit right in front of the restaurant. Also you get a 5% discount is you pay with cash.

Mixed combination Phô deconstructed
Monica D.

Came here after seeing a friend go and the food looked great. It's not close to me but was on the way home so I picked up a few items to have for a couple of days. That evening, I ate the lemongrass chicken bun which was a plentiful portion however I felt that it lacked in flavor. For the next day I got the mixed combination pho and my goodness did they pack a lot in there both in noodles and meat. Even I who likes things on the dryer side felt the quart of the broth, which had a very distinctive delicious flavor, was not enough for the amount of noodles. It was more like two portions and I eat a lot! My greatest disappointment, however, were the missing crispy spring rolls. I don't know why I didn't check my bag before I left but I called the restaurant and she was so sweet and gave me a refund and profusely apologized. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, very clean with a nice restroom and the staff was incredibly kind even giving me some peanuts and hot tea while I waited. I would return to this establishment.

Bánh Xèo
Danielle R.

My favorite Vietnamese spot in North Jersey! The food is more authentic than other Vietnamese places in the area and it's delicious. The parking lot is a bit cramped, so I would recommend going off peak hours. The service pretty fast though. I also like that there are more traditional dishes than just pho and vermicelli noodles. I ordered 4 dishes: * Chả Giò - 10/10 - This dish was so perfectly fried and the crunch was amazing. The flavors were also a hit too. It came out piping hot, so be careful when eating it. * Bánh Xèo - 5/10 - I was really looking forward to trying this dish but it just didn't live up to my expectations. There wasn't enough shrimp and the batter was not seasoned enough. I also wish it was crispier. Maybe I just got it on an off day. * Bánh Hỏi Chạo Tôm - 8/10 - This was a new dish for me and I'm glad I tried it. The shrimp paste is slightly sweet because it's cooked around the sugar cane and it pairs well with the salty and sour sauce. I also liked that you can build your own bite. * House Combination Phở - 7.5/10 - This pho was good but I don't think it really blew me out of the water. It did come with a lot of noodles though. It was also served in a hot stone pot which I've never seen pho served in before, but it kept the soup hotter for longer. Overall, I would definitely come back if I was craving Vietnamese food.

Pho-king delicious…read more It was one of the coldest days of the year and we were craving a comforting bowl of pho (rice noodle soup) to warm ourselves up. We visited Vietnam Pho in Woodland Park, located on Rt 46. It's in a business complex so there's plenty of parking. It's a casual, cozy, and family-owned restaurant with a spacious seating area. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The menu offers all of the Vietnamese classics you're craving - steaming bowls of pho, vermicelli noodles topped with fresh vegetables, crispy banh mi sandwiches, stir-fries, and a variety of grilled meats like lemongrass pork and chicken. And if you're a boba lover, they even have bubble tea. Prices are reasonable, but here's a big tip: You get a 10% discount when you pay with cash. There's an ATM inside. There were a few hits and misses with our order, but overall we left feeling satisfied with our meal. The misses: *Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk ($5.95) - This was much sweeter and thicker than I expected! It tasted more like a dessert drink than an iced coffee. The condensed milk's sweetness overpowered the coffee flavor. I have a big sweet tooth, so I still enjoyed it. But if you're sensitive to sugar, you might want to skip this or ask for less milk. *Fresh Shrimp/Summer Rolls with poached shrimp, vermicelli, & peanut sauce ($7.95) - Not a fan. The rolls were bland and mostly just filled with vermicelli noodles. The peanut sauce was a let down. The flavors were off and it had a watery consistency. It barely tasted like peanuts. I don't know if they used too much vinegar or sugar, but either way... the ingredients were completely unbalanced. Now for the hits... We came for the STAR DISH: PHO! Every order comes with rice noodles, beef broth, white onions, scallions, and cilantro with a side of bean sprouts, lime, basil, and jalapeno peppers. We ordered: *Pork Chop Pho ($16.95) - I absolutely loved the lemongrass marinade (made with lemongrass, fish sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, & shallots)! The meat was juicy, sweet, and savory. I could tell the chef grilled it perfectly because of the smoky charred edges. *Rare Beef & Well Done Brisket Pho ($14.95 size small) - They did not skimp out on the protein here! The beef cuts were large, tender, and flavorful! The broth was the heart of the pho - aromatic, warm, and rich! The spices (cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, and coriander) made it taste even better. I always enjoy adding hot chili and hoisin sauce for that extra heat and sweetness. The noodles were silky smooth and soaked up all that beefy broth. Yum, yum! And you can't forget about loading up on the garnishes to add a satisfying crunch and more flavor in every slurp! Pho was the perfect comfort food on the coldest day of the year~

We got their basil fried rice with chicken in their pad kee mow with chicken, both medium heat. I have to say, this is the best Thai food. I've tried in New Jersey. The price is incredibly cheap for the amount of food that you get, the spice level was true to what we asked for, and it was incredibly flavorful. We paid $14 for each plate and we're not only had dinner but also had leftovers for the next day (for two of us). This is now definitely our go to Thai food place!

By the way, I just wish they would focus on cuisine that should emphasize their own, I believe they represent Filipino food. Service- well, we went on a non-busy time, only one table was occupied actually. Nobody from the staff welcomed us, we had to look for someone working there, one lady who was just sitting asked how many we are without standing her butt off from where she's at and told us to just pick any table we want. Seems not a pleasant lady but there was actually a group that she welcomed when we were about to leave, so I guess they're only nice to people they see often, are we coming back? They made us feel not welcome here! Ambiance-not bad, it's okay.
