As good as Thai in NJ can be. Everything and I mean everything is good. They have by far the best tom yum soup I've ever had. Incredible flavor. Crispy duck salad is another of my favorites. Prices are fair. Parking is very nice say right behind business.

Came in so close to their AM closing time around 2:20pm and we were still accommodated. Staff was wonderful and service was quick. We tried their Sampler trio which was a good decision lol everything was good. Chicken Satay must be our favorite on this app dish - great flavor and perfectly grilled. The drunken noodles was perfect too. Very flavourful, good portion of noodles and meat and noodles was nice and chewy. The Grilled Lemongrass was good but wasnt exactly a favorite. Although there was lots of meat as they used chicken breast, i felt perhaps it would be more flavorful if a bony area was used like maybe the thigh part. I loved the side of papaya salad and the sticky rice though. Overall still had a great late lunch meal. Lots of parking space at the back too and Kubo Coffee and creamery is just across for some nice desserts!

Decided to update my review as I have become a local at this place. Food is delicious and so much flavor. Since my first time, they have heavily improve on the service. They have also renovated the decor of the space which is very nice for my taste. I love coming here because you can never get a bad meal. I highlighted suggest that you try their desserts.

Had a GrubHub delivery tonight. I've passed Thai Essence numerous times. I truly wanted to like this restaurant. Ordered the Pad Khing with chicken, Jasmine rice side and Vegetable thai spring rolls. The Pad Khing with chicken was just mediocre. The jasmine rice is not like any jasmine rice I've ever tasted. The Thai spring rolls were greasy. Sorry folks, I would not recommend this restaurant.

I went to this Thai restaurant for lunch and really enjoyed the meal. There is a lot behind the restaurant but I opted with the street parking, which has a maximum 1 hour meter. The lot is a 3 hour max. We started with the spring rolls and fried calamari. I loved the calamari and Thai sauce. The spring rolls were average at best. The dipping sauce added little to nothing. For the main course, I went with Shrimp Pad Thai. The whole meal was outstanding. Not too greasy and overall well prepared. The salad that Accompanied the meal was good. They applied the perfect amount of dressing, which didn't overpower it. A really nice find in downtown Nutley!

Insanely small portion of red curry chicken for $16... literally half the size of a standard red curry takeout dish.

Some of the best Thai in the area. The duck is delicious (I don't eat a ton, but I can normally finish the full order!). Drunken noodles and pad thai both fantastic. Service is also wonderful. The people are incredibly friendly and clearly love what they do. I can't stress enough how good Nimman is. We've eaten here around 5 times so far since they opened up!

The restaurant is tiny and immaculate. From the chairs to the plates to the artwork - everything fits perfectly together (although the "classic rock lite" coming from the speakers might shatter any illusion you had that you'd been transported right into the heart of Bangkok). The food was incredibly vibrant with just the right amount of spice/heat with some other magical components (that's missing from the other local Thai spots we've tried in the past) that had us savoring every bite. The Thai iced tea? Phenomenal and the perfect 'balancing act' while having a dish of spicy food. At first we complained that the portion-size was small but we'd left... stuffed. Our server (Andrew, I believe) as well as one of the cooks that came from the back? Absolutely lovely people that made our most recent visit all the more memorable. Street (metered) parking. Decent pricing. Without a doubt - worth a visit!

The cuisine takes the perfect blend of spicy, acidic, sweet, and aromatic to form bold and dynamic flavors. Located right between Belleville Park and the Passaic River on a busy Washington Avenue, Topaz Thai is a beloved family-owned/family-run BYOB establishment known for its Thai cuisine. Upon entering as a first-timer, I was greeted by the owner's wife, Bankie, and led to a table by the window inside a cozy, warm, and welcoming dining area with minimal traditional Thai decor. I decided on the Pad Thai () with fried tofu accompanied by Thai iced tea (). The food was incredibly flavorful and fresh, using the best ingredients, resulting in the perfect balance of spices. Every dish is thoughtfully executed and prepared to provide an authentic taste. The tofu was perfectly cooked. Portion size was just right. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very attentive, which made the whole dining experience even better. Since I had the entire place to myself, I had the honor to speak with the cook/owner, Narit. Over the years, it has become a go-to spot for both locals and visitors seeking a genuine taste of Thailand.

Of all, I can recommend their pork sisig, crispy pata, and fresh lumpia, everything else was bland and lacked the usual ingredients. The tortang talong was mainly scrambled egg could barely taste the eggplant. The palabok only has a few shrimps and veggies, halo-halo is not something you would want from here. By the way, I just wish they would focus on cuisine that should emphasize their own, I believe they represent Filipino food. And I need to mention that their price is on the higher end, I find some to be even more expensive than the Max's restaurant not too far from them, which never disappoint by the way. Service- well, we went on a non-busy time, only one table was occupied actually. Nobody from the staff welcomed us, we had to look for someone working there, one lady who was just sitting asked how many we are without standing her butt off from where she's at and told us to just pick any table we want. Seems not a pleasant lady but there was actually a group that she welcomed when we were about to leave, so I guess they're only nice to people they see often, are we coming back? They made us feel not welcome here! Ambiance-not bad, it's okay.
