This is a fusion Thai or Chinese restaurant and is not my go-to spot for food for years, and boy have I been missing out. The place is run during lunchtime with just one woman, cooking, counter and phone service, and watching over two school kids doing there study. So how is the food, well it's really good, it's not the best I had but they are really good. I don't know how they make money but I got the lunchtime meal of Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, Pork Fried Rice, and Chicken Rice Soup for $6.95. They use fresh ingredients, and I was amazed by how tasty where the fresh peas in the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and the shrimp whereof a nice size too. The rice was cooked just right too. The Chicken Rice Soup was no frills but still had real chicken meat. First time ordering from here and they didn't disappoint. Massaman Chicken Curry was a large portion with a perfect level of spice. Chicken and Broccoli had perfectly cooked and seasoned ingredients. Not salty at all. Also had a side of Steamed Greens ( broccoli, string beans and snow peas) with a spicy sweet garlic sauce on the side. Plenty of leftovers too. When you charge more than eight dollars for beef on a stick appetizer (4 pieces) and get pork spare ribs the width of a pen stretched across a stick, that's outrageous. Just call and say you ran out. There have been other things that needed improvement, but I let it go because it was minor. Not this time. We're done. Silly me I thought I would get some tasty and fast for dinner tonight, So I stopped in after getting my nails done next door. I walked in to owners kids just hanging out on the tables. A bunch of school boos and toys laying around every where including the front counter. I was kindly hesitant to order but I thought give it a chance. I reviewed the menu . I ordered the egg drop soup then I ordered four spring rolls. From the combination menu the general zso and the chicken and broccoli. Last minute I threw in the shrimp rice combo. I waited roughly about 25 minutes. I heard the pots rattling white I was entertained by a 5yr old trying to listen in on her sisters FaceTime. Once I got home I saw everything was super hot,. My husband tried the spring roll , he loved them. Stated they were crispy and flavorful . I can't say that about the soup. It was like water with yellow food coloring and flavorless egg and Orión. It was so bad I just threw te darn thing out. The combos were piping hot yet if not for my franks hot sauce and Mrs dash the dishes would definitely had even cook at a hospital kitchen. The chicken was super dry and no amount of seasoning could save it. Again the rice was saved and I had some chicken salad that replaced their nightmare of chicken. I was hungry and decided to stop by here for lunch because I was in the area. Its located near Shoprite and yes, there's parking available. I remembered coming here once some time ago and the general Taos chicken was decent. Today, I had the sesame chicken with white rice lunch special. There's really nothing special about it. My chicken was dry, all breaking, nibble of chicken, no sauce hardly. Thank goodness to whoever created duck sauce in a bag! The rice is so dry I thought I was eating bird seeds. I don't know if they switch cook? Long story short, I will not recommend coming here as long as food is not even edible. Probably should've read some of these reviews before going to this restaurant for a quick bite after food shopping. My partner and I have frequented many of Chinese and Thai restaurants in the area and this is by far the worst. Every dish we had was bland bland bland. The curry had no consistency and was like water, our pad see ew had the longest strand of jet black hair in it (neither of us have long or black hair), and our Thai noodle soup was basically just boiled water with noodles. I was going to give this place 2 stars because the pad see ew was decent, but the discovery of that hair just ruined everything even more for us. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

The Mrs. has lived in town for decades and has an undying loyalty to New Great Wall whenever we're getting Chinese take-out. But she suggested to try somewhere new (gasp!) and we also love Thai so we gave them a shot and they delivered. (That pun was awful, I know.) We knew it was going to be unique and different - the food was delivered by a young blonde gal and not an older Asian gentleman. We rip open the bag and find that most of the food was packaged in plastic (Mother Earth is deducting a star!) and not the classic take-out containers. We start to dig in... the Won-Ton Soup (one of my all-time faves) - the dumplings were a darker and richer color, not that bland gray. The broth was lacking in flavor and in dire need of some hot mustard (not included in the bag!) but those dumplings were spot-on. Minus the broth - everything else we had was better than New Great Wall - things just tasted better, fresher, more vibrant. Yes, you're paying a pretty penny more than usual but it was well worth it. (I think Red Basil in Rutherford is still better for the Thai-related goodies we tried.) Hell - even their fortune cookies were different... they included a website on the one side. I decided to go with a different place for Thai food. I was hoping for some really good pad Thai with shrimp and good wings and Thai iced tea. It took a long time for the delivery and it was late. About 15 minutes late. The spicing on the pad Thai was very good. The dish had a very good amount of shrimp and fried egg. But I missed the other vegetables and the crunchy peanuts that are so often a part of the dish. The chicken wings were in my opinion fried way too long. They were dark and heavily battered. The Thai chili sauce was delicious. A little more sweet than spicy. But I just wish that the batter was lighter and you could get to the wing meat easier. The Thai ice tea was spot on. The prices were reasonable. And as I said I had hoped for something to knock my socks off but it didn't meet that standard. What looks like a little take out joint with a few tables is actually a refreshing addition to the take out fare around this area. While the menu was mostly Chinese,we selected two of their Thai dishes for a test drive. Thai basil tofu was good, steaming hot with wafting trails of fish sauce, thai bird chilies, and basil...and the fresh clean odor of kaffir lime leaves. Featuring chopped green beans and a bit on onion, this spicy dish hit the spot. The Thai Seafood Soup, equally good and tasty was brimming with seafood and fresh lime juice creating a sour, slightly thickened broth. Calamari, shrimp, scallop, and kani stick were the stars of this generous portion. The price point was average, service was friendly, and the food we selected exceeded our expectations. Using ingredients like fresh lime leaves, Thai basil...it really amps up the flavor level of the dish. It shows that the BOH knows what they're doing. I have enjoyed Thai-Nese Fusion via DoorDash quite a few times. I always start my meal with crab Rangoon and these are pretty good. Both the massaman and yellow pineapple curry are flavorful and not too spicy. I have had the curries with beef and chicken, and both were delicious. I have also tried the roast pork egg foo young and it was not too greasy and very well-prepared. The pad Thai with chicken was very flavorful, through the rice noodles were a bit overdone and a little mushy. I enjoy leftovers for a couple days after. read more

Wow. Food is fabulous here, they use fresh ingredients and it's actually spicy! Wonderfully fresh and crisp crab Rangoon, spicy egg rolls with real chicken chunks served with a sweet and tangy sauce-its so good! Plus their spicy basil rice was so fragrant with plentiful basil leaves and lots of shrimps, too. Chicken with garlic sauce had a nice mix of vegetables, and their chicken to vegetable ratio was on point. Not too salty which is always an added plus and their menu is pretty extensive. Having a hard week, I let myself get a carb-heavy dish like pad see-ew. Now, given the name of the place, making a pork selection and getting a Chinese-style pork barbecue makes sense. That could actually be a cool variation. I travel all the time be you never know what you'll find in a strip mall. Sometimes the BEST places are in strip malls. She said no, which didn't make me happy but that's their prerogative. I was literally the only one there so why you couldn't accommodate my request is beyond me. It's not like you're fighting off customers. They will not let you inside so customers are left waiting outside waiting for someone to come help them. There was also a bit of a language barrier and the food took over 20 minutes. Times are tough for restaurants right now so being a bit accommodating to paying customers could mean the difference between them coming back or not. I think that I will try elsewhere next time. It's pretty snowy outside so I sent in an order before they actually opened in hopes that they'd be opening and be able to deliver. I was really surprised when I got a phone call confirming that they were going to be able to deliver in the snow! The food arrived nicely packaged and hot! The pad Thai was good and had plenty of shrimps. I wanted it not spicy and that is how I got it. The crab rangoons were good and they added all the sauces and dips and fortune cookies. I was introduced to Thai-Nese Fusion through GrubHub, and placed the order that way. In addition to the $8.87 gratuity I paid the restaurant through GrubHub, they added an ADDITIONAL $8.20 manually to the bill, and although I scratched out that handwritten addition at my doorstep, they charged me anyway. The result was a restaurant-imposed tip of $17.07 on a $39 food order (42%). And the order took over 90 minutes do deliver four miles away. The food was ordinary and not worth the wait, especially since it arrived after 9:00 p.m. (ordered before 7:30). Oh, and they added another $1.20 for brown rice instead of white rice, just to add insult to injury. Soggy, less than ordinary Chinese food. Never again. read more
