This place is a hidden gem! We booked a large birthday party here for my daughter (about 15 people) for a Sunday dinner. The service was excellent and the food was so fresh! We have a picky family that speaks their mind and they were all blown away by the quality of the sushi and the service. We did the all you can eat option and ordered a few extra appetizers off menu. I could not be happier with our experience and cant wait to come back again!

6 Regular & 3 special rolls

We ordered the 6 Regular & 3 Special Rolls and were amazed by the quality the presentation of the sushi. My brother got noodles and my dad got fried rice and shrimp tempura and they enjoyed both very much. The restaurant is a not as large but I found that nice since it wasn't loud and boisterous. It's evident that everyone at this restaurant is hard working from the level of service and attention we received. I can't wait to come back and t try more of their rolls - they also have an AYCE.

I have passed this place many times, but finally gave it a try! I can't believe that I missed out! This place serves lunch and all-you-can-eat sushi. I had lunch this time and shared it with my son. The chef also gave us four salmon sushi on the house. I would definitely come back for the all-you-can-eat sushi. The service was good. My only suggestion is that the bathroom is too hot. Maybe turn the heat down a little bit.

What can I say except WOW! My partner and I were blown away by the service, food, and atmosphere of this place. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Jamie, who was very kind and appreciative of our business. Everything we had was fantastic - shumai and the sauce accompanying were the best I've ever had. The godzilla, mango avocado, and philly rolls were my picks and all tasted amazing. The chef sent some seared salmon sushi our way and we thoroughly enjoyed it - hopefully it can make its way to menu! Otherwise we'll be asking ;) Rolls were fresh, plentiful, and well worth the price. They also do all you can eat which we will likely do next time. We are excited to go back soon! Thank you Dami Sushi!

Stopped in with a friend to try the all you can eat menu and was very surprised with how delicious and fresh everything was! The staff were very attentive and made sure the water cups were always filled. They even brought out a special complimentary dish on the chef! Very pleased with my experience and would return back. They have a large variety of sushi rolls and appetizers to pick from. Interior of restaurant is clean and well decorated.

Dami's all you can eat sushi dinner with vegetable udon soup and water

A fair recommendation for those in the area who are looking for a sushi dinner restaurant with an available all you can eat option. The service is up to speed and the selection is grand enough to cover all areas of your taste pallet. Personally dined alone at the sushi bar but seating was available for small and medium sized parties tonight! Give it a try!

What a great place, as you walk in, you are greeted by the entire staff. Food was amazing, I chose all you can it for 35 on a Friday lunch. Alex provided courteous, professional, relaxed service. Absolutely phenomenal sushi place.

They brought the BOAT in!!!

Did you ever hear anyone ate till they dropped in sushi restaurant? I didn't, not until today when we walked into this hole in the wall AYCE Sushi place in Pompton Lakes, NJ. What a place! They actually brought in the BOAT!" Literally! Fresh, delish, quality sushi and appetizers at it's best! Not a fancy decorated high priced joint, but who needs that? No bubbles, just a great BOAT FULL of the best sushi artfully presented by best and well accomodating and detail oriented server Jamie. Every elements of this place was on DIME! Definitely coming back again and again!

WOW. This place is amazing. Everything was impeccable. We had miso soup, salad, tea, firefight roll, a special roll they named after me, Kim's roll, and spicy Kani. The ingredients are so fresh and delicious. The flavors all work together in harmony. The miso soup was exceptional. Same with the ginger dressing on their salad. I'm so excited this is in town! I will be a regular. Service was amazing as well. Such kind staff.

Very high quality product for AYCE! My only complaint/wish is that you could get pieces of eel nigiri with AYCE.

How are the prices? How much for unlimited sushi?

It's $35.00 for adults and $18.00 for kids 4 to 9 years old with no exclusions. Everything on the menu is included. Dollar for dollar, it's an awesome deal!

Double Ai is one of the most reliable places in the area when it comes to Asian cuisine. I have…read morebeen here many times and am yet to be disappointed. My personal favorite is the Ten Ingredient Noodle Soup, which always manages to fill me up. I also recently tried the General tso chicken which was coated in a delicious sauce. Overall a great family run business with kind owners, tasty eats, and a beautiful view.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had…read more Let me start by saying this is no longer a BYOB restaurant, despite giving every impression that it still is. There is no clear notice that they now have a liquor license, yet they charge a $10 corkage fee per bottle--or require one drink per person to waive the fee. This feels misleading from the start. After a long and frustrating discussion with our waitress--who couldn't clearly explain the policy--a man (who never identified himself as a manager or in any official role) came over. Even after more back-and-forth, the policy remained unclear until we were told definitively: one drink per person to waive the cork fee. By that point, we had already purchased a drink. We decided to stay, as we've dined here many times before without issues. Unfortunately, things only got worse. We specifically asked for our appetizers and entrees to be timed separately. Instead, our main courses arrived while we were still halfway through our appetizers. Then came the biggest issue: the beef teriyaki. The meat was inedible--extremely undercooked, with a bloody taste and raw interior. We immediately stopped eating and called the waitress over. She told us, quite confidently, that it was filet mignon. It absolutely was not. We asked to speak again with the same gentleman. When questioned, he immediately contradicted her and said it was not filet mignon--but then admitted he didn't know what cut of meat it actually was. He went to the kitchen and came back still unable to identify it, only saying it was "beef." At that point, offering us ice cream as compensation felt almost insulting. We asked for the dish to be removed from the bill. Instead, the waitress returned with three cups of vanilla ice cream--and the charge for the dish was still on the bill. We paid and left, including a 20% tip for the waitress, as the issues seemed more systemic than entirely her fault. Be advised: this is not a BYOB restaurant anymore, and based on this experience, I would strongly recommend proceeding with caution.

Solid local sushi spot with a chill vibe…read more Sushi and Sashimi Special ($75) - This party platter comes with 12 pieces of sushi, 18 pieces of sashimi, 6 piece spicy tuna naruto roll, and 6 piece california roll. I think it would be enough to feed 2 people, but if you have more than that, you probably want to order another roll or two. Everything here was pretty good. The fish seemed average freshness. The naruto roll was unique with cucumber around the outside, though the tuna was not really spicy. I specifically thought the sea bream (white fish) sashimi was good, as it had a creamy taste and consistency. Julie Roll ($15) - This roll was delicious, with a nice combo of yellowtail, salmon, and tuna in one roll. In addition, there was mango for some sweetness, avocado, and cucumber in there. It was topped with red fish eggs and had a soy wrapper around it, which made it a little unique. Beauty and Beast Roll ($15) - This is sort of a 2-in-1 roll, as half of the pieces have tuna on top and half have avocado on top. There is also shrimp tempura inside along with cucumber and eel. Another tasty roll. The restaurant has a very chill vibe inside. There were a couple others dining in as well for Sunday lunch. The staff are super friendly and even gave us a side of edamame on the house. The service speed was pretty quick. Overall, if you are in the mood for some sushi (either dining in or take-out), I think Nigiri Sushi would be a very good option, particularly if you are in the Franklin Lakes area.
