The food was great with absolutely amazing views and service! Loved the experience. If you're in the Lisbon area I would definitely recommend making some dinner reservations and taking in this experience with the sky bar as a perfect after meal spot.
My wife and I went to SEEN rooftop today for lunch and were thoroughly impressed. The food was fresh and delicious, the team from the hotel staff that greeted us in the lobby, to the hostess who met us at the elevator upstairs, to the bartenders that greeted us as we walked in and to eat and every waitress that stopped by our table. All of them were friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond. Seriously, not only did they do their job, but they went out of their way to make us feel special and welcomed. It was such a great experience. Oh, did I mention the view? Un-friggin-incredible! The food there was great, we had mostly sushi, sashimi, tacos, etc, all of which was fresh and tasty. The wait team gave us recommendations which were spot on. No upsells, but honest and right on the money based on what we described we wanted. They knew their stuff and delivered. That was a highlight for sure. Well done, SEEN team. And as a side note, the folks who complained about the dress code, it's seriously not a "thing." It's very clearly spelled out and it's not a huge burden. Image attached. It's clearly referenced when you make a reservation, it's on their website, and it's frankly not unreasonable. We saw a range of people there and they were all welcomed. The bottom line is, this place is a nicer place. If you feel like being overly casual, or sloppy, this likely isn't the place for you. And that's totally ok. There are plenty of other rooftops you can go to and be overly casual or sloppy at and fit right in, no problem. But honestly, you have to proactively work to not meet the dress code here. Especially during lunch. All that being said, we loved this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
Vacationing in Italy and stopped at Seen. A restaurant in our hotel. This is a roof top type restaurant although not much of a view. Service was outstanding as was the food. The pasta was perfect and the sauce was on point. The crunch salad was a great twist on a wedge salad and we really enjoyed it. That Mango Mule was like something we never had before. Was more of a dessert than a cocktail and was very good. The old fashion was pretty good. It was missing the classic orange peel and cherries. This is a great spot to try out if you're visiting Rome.
Elegant, trendy bar/restaurant with rooftop views. We got an inside table and then afterwards the waitress showed us how to get to the rooftop bar area. Lovely view of Lisbon at night.
At least 85 characters? ooh bb I could do this in 6. Racism, racism, racism. If you haven't seen the photo caption already, this is from a video by ayani (@AYANI) about her horrible experience at the restaurant Seen Sky bar (this exact location) after she felt wrongfully not allowed to come in due to the outfit she wore. Now, in this video she explains that her and her friend were more than willing to comply to the dress code, after her friend changed once she realized shorts were not allowed here. And yet, after 1. Already having a reservation and 2. Changing outfits already she was still denied entry because she was wearing (as greeting staff put it) "sportswear". Sportwear? As she's actively seeing [white] people with Nikes, Adidas, and other types of "sporty" shoe brands walk into the elevator. When asked "what's wrong with my outfit" the woman got no response.
Amazing view during the day, great vibe at night be prepared to be seen - dress to impress on a Friday / Saturday night! Check the weather as sitting outside is fabulous on a great day. We had a few cocktails and champagne - the inside has great music and very lively.
Seen Taco, Lamb Croquettes, Truffle Linguini, Wagyu Burger Really cool restaurant on the 9th floor of this posh hotel with a great lobby. The restaurant interior is really cool, with all the Christmas decorations up and great sofa bench seating. The Seen taco was great, really fresh ceviche, loved the touch of the roe and the Pomegranate seeds. The Lamb croquettes were nice and savory, super tender Lamb inside. Loved the linguini--nicely al dente, and the Truffle flavor was readily apparent. Wagyu burger was just alright, nothing lifechanging. Overall a great meal, with great service, but pretty overpriced imo!
a wonderful experience! we sat right by the windows and had the best view. Highly recommend the tuna taco for an appetizer! so so tasty! the best views in the city!
Trendy spot with an amazing view and delicious food. SEEN and its associated sky bar are perched on the roof of the Tivoli hotel. The vibe is sceney as the name probably alludes to. It is a few cursive neon signs short of tacky but overall doesn't cross that line. The patio is awesome - the tables there have a minimum spend per person of $100. Luckily the food is good enough you should have no problem hitting the minimum. The menu is international so do not expect anything specifically Portuguese. The highlights included the cod fritter and the wagyu steak. I am super picky about restaurant steak so take this as a ringing endorsement - the fat was rendered so well, the meat was exceedingly tender, and the seasoning was on point. Everything else was delicious as well including the pisco sour I had. Of all the new trendy restaurants popping up in rapidly developing Lisbon I would make sure to visit SEEN for the view and some delicious food.
Seen is a true delight for all of the senses, deserves seven out of five stars. The interior is amazing and has something to take in at every corner - beautiful plants, the perfect lighting, thoughtfully curated textures and colors. The view outside of the Lisbon hills is mesmerizing. The entire menu is tempting - our group ordered several dishes to share because all of it sounded so good. The taste did not disappoint! The staff were incredible. They had excellent recommendations and we wanted for absolutely nothing during our experience at Seen.
The service was excellent here and the views from the rooftop bar (especially at dusk) are some of the best in the city. Definitely come early and have some cocktails at the rooftop bar before dinner. Don't pass on the seafood taco - it's the most elevated taco I've ever had (and I don't eat seafood). The steak, burger, rice and fries that we had were great, though I think we would have been even more impressed with the food if we had listened to the waiter and taken some of his recommendations (pair the waygu with the truffle linguini, try some sushi, lobster salad etc). Dress code was definitely elevated, dress up especially the later into the night you go.
Gorgeous views and fantastic cocktails and food. Best sushi I've ever had. Loved the service - they were always quick to accommodate us and answer questions or offer suggestions. Our server also snagged us an awesome spot at the Sky Bar after dinner! The ambiance is just breathtaking! Also, very affordable for the quality of the meal!
The views, the service, and the food were amazing! If you are ever in Lisbon SEEN is MUST. Sunday nights are not as busy to make a reservation. Please arrive on time. If you're late your table may be given to the next guest. Our waiter was very honest and welcoming. I went to SEEN for my cousins birthday. The restaurant is perfect for amazing views especially if you're celebrating something special.
We had a reservation for this restaurant at 10:00 pm, and we were told that if we were more than 15 minutes late, we would be charged a €120 fee. We made sure that we were actually early, so we got there around 9:50 pm. We waited a very long time before being seated. While we were waiting, we saw several other parties who arrived after us and were seated before us. I have no idea what their situations were, if they were joining other parties, or if they had even earlier reservations. I definitely watched multiple groups walk in after us and be seated before us. We kept checking in with the hostess, and she kept apologizing and assuring us that we were going to be seated. After a while, they started getting an attitude when we were trying to check in on the status. By the time it was about 10:40, we were finally seated. I've seen a lot of reviews talking about the dress code for this place, and we all came dressed up. I will say that there were inconsistencies in their application of the dress code. They didn't actually say anything to us, but one of the people in our party had on white sandals, even though she was wearing a nice dress, and I had on some gold sandals. I think they were just so busy that they didn't really notice, but I've definitely seen other reviews of people saying that people didn't get in because they were wearing sandals. By the time we were actually seated, the head waiter came over and apologized to us about the wait. He also said that there was a big party that was just leaving, and they were busy trying to get the party situated and out the door. I didn't feel that was a good excuse because my thing is, if people made a reservation, you should have a table available for them, and the staff should be allocated to serve those people. He asked us if we liked alcohol and offered to give all of us drinks, which she did, and so we appreciated that. The food started coming out. We ordered several different things from the menu, including various sushi rolls. Two of us got different fish dishes. I got the cod. Someone else got the sea bass, and the other two people got a steak dish. We also ordered fries, regular fries and the truffle fries, and several of us ordered appetizers. I would say the food was pretty good, definitely overpriced, and the quality wasn't the best I've ever had, but it did what it needed to do, and it wasn't bad or anything. I think what's really giving me pause is the long wait after having a reservation. It's like, why are you waiting almost an hour after having a reservation? Other than that, the service was excellent, and the food was good. Now, this is not a place that I would come back to. I just didn't particularly like the vibe. They call it elevated, but it was definitely very homogenous in terms of the people that were there, and I didn't feel like I particularly belonged in the space. read more

Nice decor of the scallops plate! However, as for the food I preferred the sushi here, so much so that I went back for the very next day for lunch and was not disappointing at all. They can use more options on the menu. I also went back to see the Sky bar adjacent to it and the daytime. The staff at SEEN was very very nice and accommodating and service full of smiles like they all had a good day or a least a good manager. read more

I recommend making a reservation a few days to a week early if you want to eat at Seen. We tried to come as soon as they opened and the next available seating wasn't until 10 pm. We went to the Sky Bar as an alternative and mentioned to our waiter that we had wanted to try the restaurant but couldn't get seated. He took a moment to check if they had any walk-in availability for 3 people and thankfully they did! We were sat at a high table by the bar. It was extremely dark and took a while for them to bring over a light for the table. Besides that, everything was incredible. You can't go wrong with any fish dish you get here. The Nigiri New Style and Wagyu Gyoza were the highlights of the meal for me but the truffle linguine was also great. The fish absolutely melts in your mouth it's so fresh. I will definitely be back here! read more

Marcos was very attentive to our needs. He saw two of us standing with only one chair available and he quickly found a second chair for us. Then he gave us his honest opinion of drinks and suggested one that I would enjoy. He was spot on. The veggie roll appetizer (4 pieces) was so hearty and delicious it had us wishing for a dozen more. Overall great time and super views, especially if you get seating at the bar overlooking the hillside and get Marcos as your server!! read more

Couples The food was delicious. The place and music was amazing perfect to relax and enjoy the best food. The most delicious appetizers I have ever tried. Great wine. Im not rating 5 stars because we had to wait in line to enter the restaurant In the elevator. The give privilege to the hotel guest, so we waited for a long time for a space to go up. After we arrive we waited a while to even get water at the table. After that the experience was lovely. read more

Love! My sisters and I had so much fun at Seen. We sat on the balcony outside and people watched while eating one of the most amazing food in Lisbon. The meals were well prepared and in a timely manner, the service is also one of the best customer service we had on our 3 weeks European trip everyone seems to work together as a team. We will absolutely be back next time we visit Lisbon read more

Great setting for a romantic dinner. The restaurant is situated on the top floor of the Tivoli Hotel in Avenida da Liberdade with beautiful views over Lisbon including St Jorge Castle. You'll have a bar with wonderful cocktails welcoming you as you enter the venue. After that several tables with sofas and a sushi lounge at the end of the restaurant. Pro tip: they also have a separate room with closed firepits where you can stay as well with an even better view than the other tables. (We didn't stay there :/) Bon appetit! read more
