Came here a few weeks ago for a business lunch, which I don't find is always the best way to judge a restaurant, but I had no real complaints on the experience I did have. I ordered the Southwest Salad which was very large and delicious. The only issue was I'd asked for steak instead and think the chef missed the change because they brought mine out without the meat with the rest of the parties meal and then brought the steak out five minutes later. We started with cocktails which is $7 during happy hour. I enjoyed my Moscow mule, which had the perfect amount of liquor after a long week of work! The flatbreads are SMALL but tasty. I recommend ordering it as an appetizer instead of an entree. My partner also really enjoyed his steak entree. The chicken sandwich was good but nothing out of this world. The chicken tasted like frozen pre-breaded chicken instead of freshly fried chicken. Overall this place is great bang for your buck. Visited Sedona Taphouse with out-of-state relatives for a fantastic dinner and quality family time. The pleasant summer evening encouraged us to choose outdoor seating, although I must mention that the nearby water fountain could be a bit noisy for sensitive ears. For dinner, I went with the scallops, which were cooked in a tasty buttery sauce and absolutely delicious. The asparagus and rice served alongside complemented the scallops nicely. Others at our table raved about the salmon salad and chicken Parmesan, both of which they found delightful. We were there to celebrate a relative's birthday, and the staff surprised us with a delicious chocolate cake and a warm rendition of "Happy Birthday." Grabbed a quick bite to eat with a friend on a Friday afternoon around 2:45pm. We got a chance to sit outside in their patio area since the weather was decent. The restaurant was pretty empty and when the waitress came over to take our order (I got the salmon sliders which came with fries), she put it in at 3pm so we could get it at the happy hour price. Not all heroes wear capes, this one wore an apron :). We really appreciated her doing that and the food was great. I also got a sangria which was delicious. I haven't been here in awhile the food is always cooked to perfection, which is hard to find. The greeter, waitress and waiter were very nice, efficient and helpful. We celebrated my mother in law Birthday to which it was her first time eating at the restaurant she thought the food was amazing and will go back again. Let me tell you a story about Sedona. When they opened they were bad but had potential. A year or so later they turned it around and became better, then much better, till finally just before COVID almost fantastic . Since COVID they've quickly reverted and are even worse then when they originally opened. Luckily a few decent waiters are there, but other than that, the food is simply INEDIBLE. We try so many times over the past few months, but have now made a final decision not to go back ever again. By the way, the place stinks every time we walk by it, which is multiple times a day. I like this Norwalk restaurant a lot! We bring our dog and sit outside in the square (a little European flair). Often there are other dogs for my Chaplin to bond with and fun to people watch. I stopped by again for some wine and mussels. I really wish I posed the mussels before taking the picture so you could peer into a few of them. They were all plump and fresh. None of the shells were stuck shut. The sauce was delicious, and I used all three rolls for dipping. My only wish is that the onions on top were not raw. The raw tomatoes on top were fine. They heat up and become the right amount al dente. But whenever I accidentally scooped up a raw piece of onion, it was harsh and not the greatest. What made this place great was our server- ! She was honestly excellent given that it was packed and they were clearly understaffed. Went for brunch on the weekend with my nephew. The food fell flat, found it strange that they don't really have cilantro in their guacamole but have green bell peppers which we found pretty odd. Not only that but it seemed like the service here was pretty slow. The steak is bland, the mash potatoes seemed like someone double salted it by accident, and the portions are also inconsistent and small. They seem pretty well staffed versus other restaurants that I give a pass to because let's face it - good help (and enough help) is hard to find nowadays. But for a well staffed establishment, I'd like to see the wait staff more than twice (once to take the order and the other to give the bill). Still, my family, friends and I frequent this restaurant and have literally had everything on the menu. Definitely recommend going for their happy hour. The kobe and salmon sliders are AMAZING.
