As you enter the restaurant, you see a bright welcoming ambiance. You are also greeted by a great friendly staff. We ordered our drinks and asked for some recommendations. They were all great recommendations and went with them. The drinks were amazing. Their honey Brussel sprouts were so delicious that I had the whole portion. We also ordered onion rings - they were super crispy and delicious. The impossible nuggets were amazing, served with ranch. The cali bowl was everything you would dream of for healthy and tasty. Now the great part is their burgers. I had the- my sunshine burger which had in-house patties with the greens and all the good stuff to make it filling and absolutely delicious. I want this burger for dinner every day if I could. Please open one closer to us maybe New Haven or Branford! I will come every day. Hadn't eaten here in a while. They have gone down. First, the chocolate milkshake for $9.99 was horrible. It tasted like medicine and was powdery. My son couldn't drink it and he loves chocolate shakes. It was also very watery. Not like a shake at all. More like chocolate milk. Now we know better. Second, we ordered the nachos plain. But they added shaved rib eye which we didn't ask for. I didn't realize they added it. I noticed there was meat on top but thought what they brought us was the plain nachos. In the end I was willing to pay for it but saw in the bill that they added $10 for the shaved rib eye. They told me that their menu had changed last week which wasn't synched with their system so it automatically added rib eye. I let the waiter know this wasn't my fault but that I'd be willing to pay for it and that they should correct that. He removed it from my bill, gave me attitude, and walked away. This is the last time we come here. Also, the fries here are half the amount of the fries at prime burger. Something I would normally be willing to overlook if everything else I mentioned hadn't happened. read more

We were greeted and seated promptly. our server came over, was friendly, asked if we had any questions, and if we had any allergies that she needed to know. we ordered the pretzel appetizer, which was REALLY good. I had the single national, my husband had the single americana and we shared a fries. Everything was really fresh and good. Hubby had the Alleghash draft and I had the Jamaican frozen rum punch. Can we give 10 stars to the girl doing takeout orders, hostessing, bartending, and serving with a smile on her face ALL ALONE on probably the busiest Monday evening ever, complete with many children and a customer breaking a glass?!?! My daughter and I tried this place for a late lunch. It has a really cool vibe with good music. We loved the rustic interior, especially the reclaimed wood used throughout. The service was fine, not exceptional. They offer a lot of great burger options. We weren't blown away with our meal and it was quite expensive for what it was, but I think the draw here is that everything is organic. There were several people that showed up around happy hour and sat at the bar. The bartender was chatty and friendly. There were families with small kids and a few hipsters. It had a varied clientele and seemed to have several regulars. It's in Ridgefield and we live in an adjoining town. The locals seem to like it, but I probably wouldn't go back. I used to love this restaurant but lately it hasn't been good. (Why do I keeping hoping it will improve?) Today was really awful. I ordered the My Sunshine Vegan Burger and it was really disgusting. I ate half and then removed the burger part which was apparently deep fried in oil. My husband got a make your own sandwich with turkey breast slices which also appeared to have been fried or deep-fried. (He said it was like bacon.) We came here today, because we found an old (5 years) gift certificate. When we sat, we asked the waitress if we can use this for the meal, she look at it and said yes. Service: pretty good for handling a group of 13 people. Not enough to sit us all in one table together but they placed us close enough. Staff is courteous Ambiance: nice clean setup. Not too big. They have a party room to the left. Food: The caesar salad is not caesar salad. It is a caesar salad with tomatoes and fried chick peas added. This doesn't bother me. It's the dressing. They give Italian dressing for a caesar salad and no where on the menu it says that. It's not bad but it is not a caesar salad. Maybe call it "caetalian" salad for caesar and italian hybrid. Just beware if you want a true caesar salad. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. This is my favorite buffalo chicken sandwich. The sauce is on point with the aged blue cheese that pairs in harmony with that crispy juicy chicken. The brioche bun is great. If I was in my 20's, I'd eat 2-3 in a sitting. Unfortunately, father time has decided to slow down my metabolism, so I have to have one to keep this dad bod in top form lol. Fries are crispy and plentiful. They don't bring salt or ketchup unless you ask for the adult meals. It does come with the kids panda meal. The panda meal is chicken fingers and fries which is a good size for kids. Bareburger - what is happening over there? I'm so sad to feel the need to provide an updated review for our former fave restaurant. We were there a month ago for a special occasion. The service was horrible. The server took the order (correctly), it arrived incorrectly, and NOBODY checked on our table once. Not once! We needed water, would have loved another drink, and one of the orders arrived incorrectly. Since no server ever came back, the uneaten meal sat there for 1/2 an hour while everyone else ate. We had to get up to find someone to get us the check and it wasn't until we were literally out the front door that the waitress asked why there was a full burger sitting on the table. When told it was incorrectly prepared, she had the audacity to say we could pick off what we didn't want. Seriously? That actually was not possible. I scanned the QR on the receipt and "Drew Simon, Director of operations" texted me back very promptly and seemed to genuinely care about our experience. He graciously expressed that he would be refunding our entire bill which would have been so appreciated, but that never happened. Over a month has passed. We decided to give Bareburger Ridgefield (takeout) a chance. This has been our fave place and we were so hopeful to have our anniversary meal. Sadly, 1 meal was incorrect and was caught on the way home so the fam drove back to have it remade. Unfortunately, when it was all unpacked at home, it turned out that 3 of the 5 burgers were incorrectly prepared (the order ticket WAS accurate), and quite honestly, they were all terrible. What a disappointment. The impossible burgers used to taste like the best grilled burger ever! Last night they were awful. For $15 a burger, they tasted like they were thrown in the microwave, or a lonely unseasoned pan. Such a far cry from what used to come out of the kitchen. We will not be back in the near future. We WANT to, but something has changed over there and we can't spend a small fortune to 'take a chance' again. Maybe in a long while if we hear what happened or where the ball is being dropped, but it's like the kitchen just doesn't care - and the quality control in both the front and back of the house is simply gone. I have never had a burger as bad as this one. No taste texture was mushy sauce was overwhelming I even took the bun off hoping to be able to taste the burger still no taste. One of our favorite items was the pickle chips and now they are inedible. Burgers are small and overpriced. The drink menu and chicken are great. I had a lunch meeting here a couple weeks ago and ordered the gloriously decadent buttermilk buffalo sandwich. A *huge* slab of fried organic chicken was topped with blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and lettuce on a pillowy brioche bun. It was nothing short of perfection. Unable to resist the lure of dessert, I also ordered a chocolate peanut butter milkshake and it was worth every calorie. Meh is the most accurate way to describe Bare Burger. I've been many times there for various family related reasons. As of tonight, I bought a burger and chicken sandwich and two sets of fries for a little over $40. My burger was soggy and lacked any decent flavor. The fries were unsalted, bland and overcooked. Some suggestions: if you're in the neighborhood, go to the Sycamore and have a Dagwood (Bethel). Very cool hamburger. Prime Burger in Ridgefield isn't bad but it can be hit or miss, sometimes really good, sometimes 2 stars. So here's the thing, my food wasn't awful, it just absolutely was NOT worth $40 and it certainly wasn't what I wanted. If you have to go here, drive a little further down to Stop and Shop and pickup a couple of burgers, buns and spuds. Way less money and will absolutely be better. read more
