We were looking for a place to watch Sunday football and found just the spot! Pippa's has great game day drink and food deals, as well as happy hour and other specials. We loved the chili cheese nachos and also enjoyed the fried pickles (breading is a bit thick). The full food menu has a wide range of meals - definitely something for everyone! The space is inviting and lively, with tv's everywhere, but not too much noise. Most of all, their service is exceptional! We enjoyed talking with Erin. Ordered takeout so I can't speak to the service or ambiance too much. What I can say, is the chili was mouthwatering. The chucks of jalapeño, flavorful beef and melted cheddar cheese on top gave all the delicious flavors you want in a chili. It was thick and a large portion for just ordering a cup. Food price / quality (value) rating 8.5. The atmosphere is Sports Bar. Very good pub menu including several unique offerings. I had the "Vermonster", which is a roast beef sandwich on a ciabotta roll, with baby arugula, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and a horseradish garlic aioli sauce, which was excellent. The wife had a tuna melt, which is no longer on the menu, but they made it for her anyhow! We sat at the har, where service was great. The only negative was that the cook ignored my (and the bartender's) request that my French fries be extra well done, a problem that seems to be endemic at most restaurants. Went for the first time last week on a Saturday night. everything we ordered was out of this world!! I got the pretzels to start and just wow! I also got the Cuban sandwich which is probably the best Cuban I've ever had! My husband got the club sandwich which he said was really good, and our friends got a burger (the porky pig I think it was called) and said it was delicious. Then someone else got a rice bowl and said she would come back to Danbury just to have it again (lives about 35 min away). I need to come back to try more on the menu!! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the parking wasn't the best. Small lot with not a lot of spots. I really do love the vibe here, there's TONS of TVs and a total sports bar but not gross or dirty. The staff is really great they're all so friendly and attentive. I always get the pippas fries that have cheese and bacon with ranch for dipping (request that), SO GOOD. On this day I tried their chicken quesadilla which was pretty good. My sister got wings in the reg Buffalo flavor and the gold rush, the wings are pretty small but they're flavorful and crispy. The gold rush had a really good flavor, very mustardy. My boyfriend opted for the Italian panini which was super random since he always gets burgers but he really loved it, super meaty. Roasted red peppers on it were nice. He liked the crispy bread and would order that same panini again. Again I love the service. Parking is tight but there's a small lot. We can't wait to come back ! read more

Ok I've been to pippas a few times. The wings were always tasty, but on the small side, but good enough. Today I went and they were tasty. I got 10 traditional hot saucy and Crispy , 10 gold rush , and 10 sweet chili. I dont think I've ever had a wing so small, I was actually embarrassed to eat them. It was hard to eat the flats , I couldn't push my finger through the 2 bones to push the meat through and bit my finger multiple times. I have a pic . We left starving!!!! A buck a wing. This place is Great! A cute Lil sports bar with great food. Out side seating with overhead patio, inside bar seating or booth or tables. Very clean and very friendly staff. The place had countless TVs along all walls with all the games and ESPN. Also each table also has their own personal TV at each table! It is family friendly during the day but evenings or game days I would obviously keep it adult friendly. The menu is wide variety but I gotta say the Volcano burger (done perfectly medium rare with habanero jack cheese, jalapeño Mac and cheese poppers, and fresh veggies) was AMAZING! I got it with sweet potato fries instead of regular fries for$0.99 more. The drinks are just strong enough and tasty for an affordable price (8.5 for large grey goose). First of all, I understand prices change in restaurants but there is a HUGE discrepancy between the prices listed on the Google menu and the actual prices of the food. We ordered two sandwiches and paid nearly $30. If I had known that the prices were that high, I would've ordered from somewhere else. And then the food was subpar... The bread on the sandwich and burger were soggy, burger was cooked almost well done when we wanted medium and the fries were so hot when they were put in the styrofoam containers that it almost melted through -- there was white residue on some of the fries from the packaging that melted into it. read more

I thought I ordered a wet wing based on how it was written in menu but it was dry-was still tasty but wasn't particularly in a dry mood. Been here many times for school meetings and only had a drink while my other participants always ordered food and I was always impressed with the platters so finally my significant other and I finally tried it with a medium rare geese burger club and it was very good-cooked perfectly and quality of meat was very good and sweet potato fries were nice and crispy. Service was good and each server watched each other's backs- nice cohesive team here serving some good bar food-personally I prefer this place far more than O'Brien's! So this joint is a hole in the wall sports bar in the heart of danbury. After another victorious softball win a bunch of dudes and I went to this shanty bar and it was a great find the food was good and the service was on par with the other establishments. Pippa's is a great sports bar. The place is packed with televisions. Even the booths have their own small flat screen TV. They seem to subscribe to the full range of cable sports channels, so most of the time we can watch our beloved Minnesota Twins. The menu is good for sports bar standards. Burgers, appetizers and wraps seem to dominate, but there are plenty of other sandwiches and salads. We love the UConn fries. Vegetarians don't have a lot of options, but you're at a sports bar, for goodness sake. The beer on tap leaves a little to be desired, but the bottle selection is decent. They've got a nice little outdoor area in front. The place gets a little rowdy late on big game days. Parking (a lot behind the place) can be a little challenging if the place is busy. Ok here goes. I met a friend to have a couple of beers and some wings. 1. The beer selection wasn't as good as ethier of the two other wing joints in town. But it wasn't too bad, they had at least two beers on tap that weren't owned by the big 3. 2. They have really tasty if only avg sized wings they have the most crispy of the wing spots in danbury and if they increased the size of their wings and added an actually spicy version of their original spicy wings they could be the best. Still 4 stars though. I was able to eat my wings and drink while having an actual conversation without raising my voice. Something I've yet to be able to do at tk's. All in all. For wings they are in a very tight three way race as #2 in danbury though I will occasionally go back because the staff was nice and it looked like a great place to watch the game.
