Turkey Club Sandwich
L.A. K.

Seated right away at lunch time. Friendly service. Cute place with lots of TV's. Booth was comfy. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower, steak frites and a turkey club. The cauliflower was okay. maybe a pre frozen app. My steak frites was very good. Good portion size. Took some home. My husband had the turkey club. He said it was "fine". The turkey was eh. It was like cheap deli turkey. We were hoping to try the bavarian pretzel, but they were out of it. May try again in the future.

Needed a kid friendly but yummy meal Apres ski. We were starving and drove to Brookfield Social. Large space with comfy booths that allowed for semi-private dinner. The beer and drink selection was good - some local and some imported brews. Good choices all around. The burger was fantastic - rich and juicy and perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy. The kids menu varies so we opted for super cheesy Mac and cheese. So good. We had a nice dinner and would return again if we are in the area.

Great food and amazing vibes. New place in town!! I was here on a Friday after work and the place almost filled up by 6pm. We ordered some beer on the tap and some nachos to go with it. Great bear and decent nachos. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich later - I absolutely loved it. I'll go back again for this sandwich.

So happy a new place in the area opened up. I was getting bored of all the other places. This has a sports bar vibe but a bit more elevated. Prices are typical for the area. They did some great renovations and there always seems to be a good crowd of people, but I have never had a problem getting a table or bar seat. I've only tried the apps and have enjoyed them! The drinks are yummy. My favorite is passion fruit drink with tequila. Not a huge fan of the espresso martinis which I'm assuming it's because they don't use real espresso. I could be wrong though. Anyways, try it out :)

Stopped in during the week to finally check it out. Located in the ShopRite plaza. Plenty of parking. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There are high top booths and seating at a beautiful bar area. It's remodeled new from a few months ago so it is very clean and organized. The bar area is surrounded by multiple tvs to watch multiple sporting events. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Happy Hour menu is available weekdays from 3PM to 6PM. It includes appetizers, drinks, and wine. Bottomless brunch is coming soon according to one of the promotions on the menu. No timetable given on that. The apps were not great, the burger and fries were amazing. We had the Garlic Parmesan Wings, pretzel bites, and Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls. The wings were good. Very tender and juicy, but needed a little more sauce which had lots of flavor. The pretzel bites were just ok. What surprised me is that I was not a fan of the beer cheese which I usually love. The Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls were very crispy. In my opinion, they were too big. It might sound weird to hear. There was way too much chicken inside and not enough sauce to flavor it. Maybe if there was more sauce, I would've liked it better. The burger, amazing. I had the California Burger. Cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. Very juicy and loved the arugula at the bottom. The fried egg was also cooked perfectly. I would definitely suggest getting it. The fries were very crispy and tasted fresh and delicious. Not sure if they are made there or frozen. Either way they hit the spot No dessert on this trip. I would definitely like to return for a few interesting items I saw on the dessert menu. I would probably skip the happy hour next time and just come back for the burgers.

Fun food menu at an affordable price in a convenient location. Service was slow for a rainy Thursday night. Our appetizers did not come out before our entrees. We loved the side spread TVs that were visible from all of our seats. Despite this being a sports bar, the lights and sounds were not overpowering. We were still able to hear our party of five talk clearly amongst each other. Great place to watch live sports.

They had just opened when I came here. I'd never made it to Monroe Social, so I didn't know what to expect from the (.*)Social chain. Needless to say, it was the standard New American fare with some local beers, TV's with a mix of sports and dumb meme channels, and nothing really signature that stands out. Welcome to a generic restaurant... right? Not really, no. You'd think this would be a bad review, but it was very well executed. The service and the staff were already on top of things. The restaurant was packed, but unlike most places this size, I was able to sit down and not only hear myself think, but carry on a conversation with my partner -- kudos to whomever designed this place to absorb all the noise. This is a place where you actually want to spend time and be social... oh, that's where the name came from. The menu is standard fare, but it's all very well executed. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (whatever they called it, I'm writing this after the fact) and though it was lacking pickles that are crucial to the southern American chicken sandwich, the slaw almost filled that pickle-sized hole. They do that trendy thing of bringing ketchup in a tiny metal container, and while the fries are good, we both wound up with three-fourths of our fries left and no ketchup at all. Bonus points for style, but seriously, get a bigger container or bring the bottle; your servers will thank you. We rarely have room for dessert, but we split some cake and ice cream. We're usually stuffed after an entrée, but the hot cake and the cool ice cream were a perfect finish that both left us satisfied and full, yet wanting just one more bite. All in all, Brookfield Social is somehow nothing special and very special. No fancy ingredients, no imported foreign salt, no Wagyu beef or Turkish coffee; it's just off-the-shelf Brookfield ingredients. They take the everyday and the mundane and elevate it to something special.

My husband and I stopped here on our trip to Candlewood Lake because they had a good-looking happy hour menu. We got there about 5:45pm on a Friday and the place was SLAMMED. Between the large square bar and all the tables, it was hard to find a seat. We made friends at the bar and one guy gave up his seat for me, which was very nice. Domestic beers were $4 so my husband and I had a few Bud Lights and I was hungry so I ordered the Philly Eggrolls and the Pretzel Bites. The pretzel bites came with a yummy cheese sauce and some mustard, while the eggrolls came with their own yummy sauce. The happy hour menu looked good, and the bartender was attentive and was quick to recommend some food options. I really enjoyed the vibe of the bar and I would definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Haven't tried this restaurant at their prime/busy time but for brunch it was incredible. Tasty American food and the staff were super friendly! Very attentive and pleasant! Atmosphere was relaxing and chill. Would definitely be back because there I had one of the best Turkey Club sandwiches ever! Yum!

Food quality / price (value) rating 9. The atmosphere is neo-industrial sports bar. They have a large bar and an extensive draught beer list. The menu is fairly typical for this type of place. We split a Buffalo Blue Burger and it was very good. They have many tv screens, including a giant screen at the center of the bar that is actually four large screens together. This would be a great place to see any major sporting event. The food was very good and the service was attentive. Looking forward to a second visit!

We enjoyed some appetizers on a Monday when Amber was the bartender. This place had many great tv sports shows.

Pupusas Y Antojitos Nicolle

Pupusas Y Antojitos Nicolle

(1 review)

Pupusas y Antojitos Nicole is a food stand set up in, of all places, the Best Buy parking lot in…read moreDanbury. It serves up some surprisingly delicious pupusas and above-average tacos. Pupusas are thin-skinned, nicely griddled and well-filled with loroco or pollo in our case, served with a mild (not very acidic or spicy), mostly cabbage-based curtido. They come three to an order: $13 for the loroco; $12 for pollo. You can also order pupusas filled with beans, beans and cheese, cheese, scrambled eggs, etc... We are not Salvadoran and have only really eaten Salvadoran food on the east coast or from frozen packages. But by our uninformed standards, these pupusas were excellent. Tacos also come three to an order and are made with two small, soft, corn tortillas from a package, well filled in our case with tender, flavorful, gristle-free steak ($14 for three), and garnished with a lime wedge, cilantro and onion. Per their handwritten menu, there are also quesadillas, cheese steak, chicken wings, nuggets, burgers and hot dogs on offer. We are passionately fond of Salvadoran food. These pupusas aren't the best we've had on the east coast, but for the price, location, and the relatively scarcity of this cuisine in the geographic regions we frequent, this stand is worth a return visit. My only nitpick: Pupusas came in a styrofoam container (not recyclable, horrible from an environmental standpoint). We'll need to bring our own carry-out containers next time.
