Rice and avocado breakfast burrito with bacon

**cleanliness concern** : random food particle found in coffee mug Service was attentive, there is a large menu so it can be a little overwhelming. Super hungry group of 6 started with the nachos & chicken cordon bleu bites (because how often do you see that!) Nachos came plain - literally chips and melted cheese, while it was good, it reminded us of "nachos" you can make in the microwave... the bleu bites were interesting, not sure if the oil was old but they tasted of fish.. (we attributed this to the oil being used for fish based food as well but unsure) Entrees were better. Amazing homefries, great flavor and quality! Breakfast burrito was the way to go, so good! At the end of our visit, my mom was finishing her coffee & found a mystery item in it... which is disturbing. If it wasn't for this & the fishy tasting fryer, it would be a 5 star review from me.

I finally had a late lunch here. Staff was really friendly and attentive, diner is clean and had a nice quiet ambiance. I enjoyed the soup of the day, creamy corn and shrimp. But wasn't impressed with my main dish, meatloaf. It was a just too salty for me, obviously you really don't need the gravy if it's that salty. Although the gravy was good, the mashed potatoes and the mixed veggies. I'll try something else next time.

Stopped for breakfast on your way back to Long Island. Family run business.... We were very impressed by the little boy bussing one of the tables!!! This kid literally sprayed and cleaned down the backs of all the chairs!!! We loved it!! The menu had soooo many wonderful choices that I had a hard time choosing what I wanted to eat. I ordered the country Benedict and my GF ordered the 2 eggs with shredded hash browns and a side of grits. The food was amazing!!!! Really hearty portions and simple food just done right!! The sausage gravy on the eggs was delicious!!! It was way too much to finish but I really wanted to eat every bite!!! The eggs were cooked perfectly as well!!! I highly recommend this spot if you're ever in the area!!!

Stopped at Grandpa's Diner (in the former JK's building) while visiting my mom. The decor and music (50's style) are great. Our server was friendly and very attentive. Each of our meals were delicious. If I am no longer able to get a Texas hot weiner from JK's, this spot made it at least more bearable Looking forward to visiting again and trying the breakfast.

The server even left a nice note on the back of the check.

Looking for some good diner food? Definitely check this place out because it is so good! The service was so good!! My server was extremely nice to me and my family constantly asking if we would like refills or if everything was going good. Food itself was great. Pancakes were soft and fluffy. This diner has lots of options especially when it comes to eggs haha. I was asked if I wanted my scrambled eggs fluffy or extra fluffy. Price was also great (to me at least) paid $50 for 3 big meals and 4 drinks! Check it out :)

Chicken Fried Steak with sausage gravy is scrumptious! The biscuits and mashed are the real deal! Skip the drive to Cracker Barrel and sop up the gravy right here in Danbury!

Clean place. Waiter didn't know the wi-fi password and the reggaeton is on full blast. At least they are open at 5 am.

Great, hearty breakfasts with many different options. The coffee was good with refills. I ordered the French toast with poached eggs.

We visited Rebellion Kitchen + Bar on Thanksgiving Eve, so the restaurant wasn't very busy, but…read morethat actually made the experience even better. The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.
