Sadly Maggie McFly's in Brookfield has rapidly gone downhill. It seems some of the manager's have left and the quality of service has suffered. Over the past 2-3 months we have had 4 poor visits. Not served for 20+ minutes, having to ask to put in orders and errors in orders. Tonight was what may the worst of it all. When we were seated another table warned us they waited nearly 2 hours for their food. After 20 minutes of sitting I found a manager and informed them we were still waiting. As we waited I observed 4 tables around us that were sitting with dirty dishes from prior patrons. After a few minutes a team member came to clear a table. In the end 3 of the 4 were cleared. Team members were overheard complaining that bussers were sent home and that left them to clear tables. This used to be the restaurant I recommended, for its service, the quality of the food and the kindness of the team. Hope they correct whatever issues have come up. read more

Waited quite some time for service. Didn't get in any way what I ordered. I went to ask someone if I could get my order fixed. I was ignored and the staff pointed and laughed at me from the hostess stand. Never experienced anything like that before. It was awful. read more

We had a great lunch at Maggie McFlys! Our server was on top of it, seating comfy & prompt for lunch on a Sunday, love the open air option at this location and the vast menu options. There truly was something for everyone. We shared the eggplant fries app which was delish perfectly crisped. I had a shrimp salad that came with avocado and a great dressing. The kids had some of the brunch options and a burger. I had the Barbie drink that was not only super tasty but glowing and rimmed in pop rocks, so good o ordered a second. read more

Went to Maggie's on a Friday afternoon for lunch with my wife. Our waitress showed us the way to a nice booth near the pastry counter. Wife had the avocado BLT with maple bacon with fries which she loved. I had the coconut shrimp with excellent mashed potatoes and veggies with a pina colada sauce which was also very good. Sorry we couldn't remember the name of our waitress but she was very nice and knowledgeable. Nice atmosphere never felt rushed. We will return read more

Super huge place lots of seating Menu is larger than Cheesecake Factory We tried the fried calamari which was very good. The calamari was tender with a nice crispy shell on outside. We also had the chicken lettuce wraps and coconut shrimp. The shrimp were very large and a nice portion along with a good amount of coconut included in the fried breading. The lettuce wraps came out beautifully isolates with lots of toppings and sauces that tasted pretty similar. If possible, I would have rated my experience with Ben A. 10 stars. His kind, humorous, down to earth personality makes him beyond a great server. I have been to many restaurants in my 44 years of life and he was by far, the best server I have ever dealt with. He checked on my table several times to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. He reported being new at his job, however, it seemed as though he had been working here for many years. I love Maggie McFly's. It's a staple in my family's restaurant rotation. This review is simply about our experience on New Year's Eve. We arrived and we waited 10 minutes for our table. No worries! It's a holiday! We got to our table. We usually love the beer list. They had very few dark beers options for a winter night. We tasted a few things and ordered our drinks. My mom got her beer, a beer she had drank many times before at this location, and something about it was off. She switched her order and the waitress apologized. We ordered our appetizers. They came out decently fast. The Buffalo cauliflower was ordered with extra blue cheese. They gave blue cheese crumbles instead of extra blue cheese dressing. Our waitress again apologized and brought out more. Our pretzel was cold and the beer cheese was flavorless. We then waited, and waited, and waited for our meals. We waited for an hour and a half to get our meals. Again, it's a holiday we get it. However, to see people who arrived and ordered after us get their food, pay, and leave before we ever got our meals was concerning. We called over the waitress and asked. She sent over the manager who went to the kitchen to check. The waitress then came over and said we were two tickets from the front of the line. After that our food came pretty quickly. We came here during the week. Plenty of parking available in multiple areas. There's inside seating, including the bar area, and outside seating. We found out after we were seated that happy hour is only available at the bar. The service was good and the employees were friendly especially our waitress Samantha. There are multiple tvs with different sports channels to watch different games. It is a good atmosphere to just relax and unwind. The menu is huge. There are lots of different options. The food was just ok. We started with the pretzel which came with a delicious cheese sauce and another dipping sauce. Unacceptable Behavior from Manager Alana - Needs to Be Addressed! This review is specific to a shocking experience at the Brookfield, CT location due to the behavior of a manager named Alana. When a call was made to report that the wrong pickup order had been taken, her immediate response was, "That's not my problem, you should have checked your order." Not only is that response completely unprofessional, but it's also inaccurate--ensuring orders are properly marked and communicated is absolutely the restaurant's responsibility, especially under a manager's supervision. To make matters worse, Alana hung up twice, refused to remake the order which was cold, and showed no willingness to resolve the issue. This level of customer service is unacceptable from any staff member, let alone a manager. I have escalated this to McKenna in HR and expressed my belief that Alana is not fit for a management role. Her behavior reflects poorly on the Maggie McFly's brand. If she remains employed, I strongly suggest she undergo anger management and customer service training before interacting with customers again. To Ray Harper--looks like a while ago, you were actively responding to feedback. As the owner I urge you to revisit your reviews and pay attention to complaints . This is not the first complaint about Alana and how rude she is. Patterns matter, and this one is troubling. read more

This restaurant would not be my first choice or my 10th choice. Made a reservation a week before. I informed them that it was for somebody's birthday. Also informed them that we needed a low table. We didn't get a low table. We had to asked for one and had to wait. I confirmed that they knew that this is for someone's birthday when we arrived. Nobody sang or even said happy birthday and the ice cream for the birthday person that was supposed to be free I was charged for.. If that wasn't enough the hamburger that I ordered well well done came to the table and it was medium and all I got was oh sorry about that. Probably one of the biggest menus I have seen, dare I say even more choices than a diner? At first this had me skeptical if Maggie McFly's could deliver good food with so many choices. Well I won't keep you waiting- THEY CAN! Another neat thing about their menu is they include on pretty much every item where they might be sourcing the ingredients from- whether it's their rolls or the seafood. A lot of the ingredients were sourced locally as well- nice touch to include! We had a late lunch here this weekend while in the area. None of us had ever been to MM's before. The restaurant is huge with plenty of comfortable and stylish seating options. The bar area is quite large and they even have an area with their cupcakes packed for quick to go options. We didn't get to try these but will surely do next time. The restaurant was busy when we got there but that did not stop the hostess from sitting us promptly in a comfortable booth, our waitress quickly got our drink orders and was quite attentive even though she had some large tables to take care of too..... even noticing we needed drink refills and just bringing them! Our food came out soon also so the kitchen staff clearly know how to manage a busy weekend crowd. All staff, top notch! Food- everyone enjoyed their meals. We basically kept within the American fare range with kids chicken tenders and nuggets (yes they have both), husband got a French dip, and I had their crispy shrimp salad. Our boys said they liked their chicken- while the photos might make the portions seem small they had quite a bit of food. I would say they were a perfect size for kids meals. Husband loved his sandwich comparing it to another restaurant he usually likes it at and said it was better! My salad was delish- just huge, but they did say it was under the big salad section. It had tons of yummy toppings like a corn, tomato, and chickpea salad mixed with greens, cucumbers, avocado, and frizzled onions. The shrimp were cooked perfectly! Their dessert menu was equally long and while we were all full, we did take a chocolate Oreo cheesecake slice to go- all I can say is DO IT- YUM-O! Came back with our drinks and took our appetizer and entree order. Food came out quicker than we expected with how busy it was. Everything was delicious. One of the waitresses , Nicole, saw my daughter drop her napkin, and came over with a new clean one. First, this place probably has the most comfortable bar seating yet. The service was fast and the food was good. I ordered a simple Turkey BLT and it didn't disappoint. First time here and the place is nice - clean, bright and big. The menu is massive, so I was skeptical that the food would be good. I had the sriracha burger and steak skewers (sorry no pic) and both were better than expected. The steak skewers were very tender. The burger was large and the toppings seemed fresh. Only complaint is that the bun was really dry. It sort of crumbled when I picked it up. Service was odd. The place is big as I mentioned, so there were loads of servers. The wait staff and manager traded off service apparently as a normal process. So I interacted with 4, maybe 5 staff members. Order a refill from one and five minutes later someone else shows up with the drink. Asked for the check and five minutes later a new person shows up with the check. Not bad, but definitely didn't feel a "friendly" vibe. Very close to 4 stars. I will try again. Worth a visit for lunch. read more
