Just absolutely classic dinner food nothing more nothing less always a great meal Great pancakes

This is a great spot for reasonably priced comfort food. We've been here a couple of times and the staff is always so friendly and the service is quick. The food is tasty and portions are very generous. We could seriously split a sandwich and be full...not that we do, but we could! Their burgers are very good, full of flavor and very juicy. Whatever special cake or pie they have, get that if you want some sweets, you can't go wrong. Great place!

Short Rib Hash and Eggs

We were in the area for breakfast on a weekend morning, so we decided to stop in at Mill Plain since it was the closest diner to where we were coming from. We were seated quickly, and the staff got our food out to us quickly. I had the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs, which wasn't bad, and my fiancé ordered the short rib hash and eggs, which we both agreed was just average as well. The short rib didn't have much flavor at all, and some of our breakfast potatoes were a bit crunchy, alluding to how they should've been cooked a little longer. The diner itself had a cute, classic feel to it which is why it drew us in too. I don't see ourselves coming back unfortunately with there being so many other options in the area.

Just some fries that was good.

Incredibly rude staff, dirty and mediocre food. It's sad to see how badly this business has crumbled under its current management.

I am from California, and I was recommended to try this restaurant. It is absolutely excellent. Try the pumpkin spice pancakes.

How is this place not 5 stars?!…read more Every time we come here it's amazing. We love grabbing two seats at the bar and trying whatever specials they have, never disappoints. The espresso martini is hands down the best around, and the beet salad is to die for with the yogurt, figs, and balsamic. The wings? Always cooked perfectly. Service is always great. This place is one of my favorites

The setting is nice with plenty of parking. The outdoor seating was a nice setup with fresh flowers blocking views of the road and parking lot. The waiter we had was super nice and helpful, not being too overpowering but checking in just the right amount. We started with the Mezze Dips which is hummus and whipped eggplant dips with a spread of fresh veggies and warm pita bread. It was very good and we all enjoyed it including our toddler. The menu is big enough to have something for everyone on any diet while keeping things fresh and not overwhelming. I went with a basic vegan burger which was absolutely fantastic on fresh grilled sourdough, it would even be good without the vegan patty if you want to avoid that. It seemed likely a Beyond or Impossible type party which I am fine with on occasion. My wife decided to go the fish route and got the crispy fish sandwich which was a huge size and she ate almost all of it. She said it had really good flavor and would order again. Our toddler got Mac and cheese and of course snacked on the appetizer and our fries. I gave the Mac and cheese a taste test and it was nice and fairly light versus the sometimes highly overpowering stomach bombs places make. Overall it was a nice dining experience and reasonably priced for what you get. I can't speak for the inside vibes from this experience since we were outside the whole time but overall I will definitely keep it on my list for the area and plan to go back. Maybe even again this week!

The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.

Decided to have Irish food since that was the menu for the night. My friend had the shepherds pie and it was HORRIBLE. If you could find a carrot you were lucky never mind any of the other veggies. The potatoes were little scoops plopped around the top, no cheese. Bland and horrible. Worse Shepherds Pie ever. I had the corned beef reuben and the corned beef looked like scraps that should have been used on nachos instead of a sandwich. There were some strips of CB with sauerkraut and the swiss made the rest of the sandwich OK. Would go back for the music but would not have food here. Waitresses were not as attentive as they should have been as we had empty glasses of Guiness and needed refills and had to wait along time to get them to swing by. Excuse twice was the Guiness kicked? I can see 1 time, but not 2 in a short time. If you want authentic Irish fare go somewhere else.

Love the corn beef and cabbage inside. Regular nachos were OK, they were missing key elements of nachos. No jalapeños, no salsa, no guac. Pretty lackluster. The wings were good, we had two different types smothered in the sauces. Wings were also very good and the waitress was really nice and accommodating.
