We dropped our pet at Guardian Vet for treatment and saw this diner as the 3rd closest recommended place to eat. Sándwiches were v Good. Pleasant small diner. But we waited nearly 30 minutes before getting our order, seems too long to wait for simple egg sandwiches in a diner don't you think? There only 7 other diners. After walking out, we started noticing the many Spanish bakeries and restaurants nearby. In retrospect, we should have used our eyes to observe the area and might have had an equally or more delicious lunch at any of those Latinos cafes for cheaper and faster!

Great corn beef hash and eggs over easy. What a way to start the day. A neighborhood staple.

Excellent diner! We stop in every few weeks for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Reasonable prices, great portions, and excellent customer service all around. Totally a gem in the Brewster area!

The Really hangry -chocolate chip pancakes -2 scrambled eggs -crispy hash browns -2 stripes of bacon -1 sausage split into 2

Amazing food with a great feel for ambience and a gorgeous view. Gives nostalgic vibes like I've been going here for years. The service was nice but a tad bit slow but if your with a friend or family it's unnoticeable other than that I still think this is worth the wait and worth a try.

I felt like I entered one of those weird trucker stop diners you see in movies. The tiny diner looked like an old trailer and smelled of one too. The decor was kitschy, but matched the whole dingy feel of the place. The food is your typical diner fare of various breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. We ordered a breakfast combo and avocado egg sandwich. Everything was fairly fresh and prepared well. The sandwich was a bit sad on its own. I thought it would come with a side, but it was literally just a square bread sandwich on a plate. Overall, it was ok. We were visiting from the city and wanted a meal before heading back. It did the job, but I don't think I'd be a return customer.

The best food in Brewster, hands down. My favorite diner of all time. I make the pilgrimage from DC just for The Sandwich.

Breakfast all day, salads, sandwiches, roasted chicken, meatloaf, pasta, soup, and desserts! Did something say milkshake? We came in after a tour at the CIA since the Egg wasn't open yet for dinner. We were seated quickly and our ice water came too. It took us awhile to settle on our entrees because there is soooo much to see. After asking our server for their favs, we landed on the seafood salad and patty melt to share. The seafood salad items (shrimp, scallops and calamari were cooked perfectly. They do not skimp on the size of the seafood either. The house tomato dressing is really bright with a hint of sweetness. Hubby's party melt was a little undercooked but still tasty. The rye bread was buttery toasted and the grilled onions were nice and carmelized. He also loved the seasoned French fries. Oh we really wanted dessert but passed. We did get a small black and white cookie because I'm on the hunt for the best. At only .50, how could I not get one?our server was very attentive and energetic. Loved her! Folks, don't let the low reviews stop you from coming here because they almost did for me. No regrets in the decision. We'll be back for breakfast!

If you want a typical and excellent diner experience you've come to the right place: classical…read morediner decor, tome of a menu, fast and friendly service, generous quantity, and reasonable prices. It's spacious and popular. Luckily we came for breakfast hence no need to peruse the Tolstoy novel sized menu :-). I asked for veggie omelette without the melted cheddar, while husband picked another one with meat. All breakfast platters come with home fries and buttered toast. I believe that every diner has its unique signature dishes and for this one, the home fries surely make the list. They were more finely cut, some bore crispy crusts and all were thoroughly flavored. My omelette tasted a little dry - it could be due to the omission of cheese. I take one star off for the bathroom: although it's spacious and well equipped, it fell a little short of cleanliness. Bathroom conditions are an important yardstick for me to feel safe about the food.

We received our order super fast, and thought it tasted very good. So I'm surprised at the less-than-stellar reviews given for this diner, but then again, this place hasn't been reviewed very much, and certainly not very recently. Not sure when we would be in that area again, but we'd go back in a heartbeat.

My husband and I visited the Eveready diner this morning for breakfast. I usually go with a friend…read moreof mine and we had breakfast there maybe once every six weeks. So I thought my husband would enjoy it as well. I ordered my favorite, Benedict with a side order of fruit instead of the usual home fries. My husband on the other hand ordered eggs over easy with corn beef hash and hone fries. Both dishes were delicious. However, we did also order coffee, and both of us did not have refills. When the bill came, we were astounded to see that we were charged $3.50 per cup of coffee. Now, I don't know about you but I think that's an excessive amount for a regular diner cup of coffee. If I wanted a gourmet cup of coffee I wouldn't have minded paying that much. So, as a result of being charged an exorbitant amount for one measly little cup of coffee, which I didn't drink because it tasted burnt, is a bit ridiculous. Most Diners include coffee with your breakfast or for a lesser amount and refills are free. And for that reason, I give them a bad review.
