We dropped our pet at Guardian Vet for treatment and saw this diner as the 3rd closest recommended place to eat. Sándwiches were v Good. Pleasant small diner. But we waited nearly 30 minutes before getting our order, seems too long to wait for simple egg sandwiches in a diner don't you think? There only 7 other diners. After walking out, we started noticing the many Spanish bakeries and restaurants nearby. In retrospect, we should have used our eyes to observe the area and might have had an equally or more delicious lunch at any of those Latinos cafes for cheaper and faster!

Great corn beef hash and eggs over easy. What a way to start the day. A neighborhood staple.

Excellent diner! We stop in every few weeks for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Reasonable prices, great portions, and excellent customer service all around. Totally a gem in the Brewster area!

The Really hangry -chocolate chip pancakes -2 scrambled eggs -crispy hash browns -2 stripes of bacon -1 sausage split into 2

Amazing food with a great feel for ambience and a gorgeous view. Gives nostalgic vibes like I've been going here for years. The service was nice but a tad bit slow but if your with a friend or family it's unnoticeable other than that I still think this is worth the wait and worth a try.

I felt like I entered one of those weird trucker stop diners you see in movies. The tiny diner looked like an old trailer and smelled of one too. The decor was kitschy, but matched the whole dingy feel of the place. The food is your typical diner fare of various breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. We ordered a breakfast combo and avocado egg sandwich. Everything was fairly fresh and prepared well. The sandwich was a bit sad on its own. I thought it would come with a side, but it was literally just a square bread sandwich on a plate. Overall, it was ok. We were visiting from the city and wanted a meal before heading back. It did the job, but I don't think I'd be a return customer.

The best food in Brewster, hands down. My favorite diner of all time. I make the pilgrimage from DC just for The Sandwich.

It's clean, the staff was extra friendly and efficient, and best of all the expansive menu filled us up deliciously. Any dish on the menu can be served at any time they're open. So while one of us opted for a three-egg cheese omelet -- thank goodness someone in the kitchen knows how to prepare eggs and not over-cook them -- the other ordered liver and onions. At 9:30 a.m. no less. And when they came, they were wonderful, tasty, cooked very rare with scads of sliced onions. Not to everyone's taste, perhaps, but sure did satisfy ours. There was lots of good coffee and tea, lots of smiles with our server, and lots of relaxation for us. Prices are good, about what you should expect for a diner, and we were impressed with how clean it was everywhere, including the bathrooms. We recommend Putnam and look forward to a return, with or without the kitty. BTW, there's a cool little pool out front (see our photo) with a bunch of hungry fish happy to snare any food you might cast their way, and a wishing well to accept coins (please don't feed the fish your coins). Also a nice big parking area.

We received our order super fast, and thought it tasted very good. So I'm surprised at the less-than-stellar reviews given for this diner, but then again, this place hasn't been reviewed very much, and certainly not very recently. Not sure when we would be in that area again, but we'd go back in a heartbeat.

My husband and I visited the Eveready diner this morning for breakfast. I usually go with a friend…read moreof mine and we had breakfast there maybe once every six weeks. So I thought my husband would enjoy it as well. I ordered my favorite, Benedict with a side order of fruit instead of the usual home fries. My husband on the other hand ordered eggs over easy with corn beef hash and hone fries. Both dishes were delicious. However, we did also order coffee, and both of us did not have refills. When the bill came, we were astounded to see that we were charged $3.50 per cup of coffee. Now, I don't know about you but I think that's an excessive amount for a regular diner cup of coffee. If I wanted a gourmet cup of coffee I wouldn't have minded paying that much. So, as a result of being charged an exorbitant amount for one measly little cup of coffee, which I didn't drink because it tasted burnt, is a bit ridiculous. Most Diners include coffee with your breakfast or for a lesser amount and refills are free. And for that reason, I give them a bad review.
