Great food, excellent service. These sammiches are the best. They are definitely made with love. My only complaint is that I wish it was bigger to accommodate more seating! They have the best customer service, food and atmosphere around! read more

Fast and delicious local deli! Pick from a large menu of breakfast (all day), wraps, cold and hot sandwiches and more. You order at the counter with friendly staff and there is limited indoor and outdoor seating. My favorite is the Lia Maria: chicken cutlet, bacon, Russian dressing, cheddar on Italian bread. Big portions worth the price. read more

Best sandwiches around, great selection, friendly service. Love all the specialty options.

Best deli around ! Always friendly fair price delicious food ! Definitely my go to when I'm in the area !

Great food at a reasonable price. I've tried most of the sandwiches at this place and haven't tasted a bad one yet. The folks that work here are very welcoming. It's a small place, so you may want to get to the deli a bit early for lunch if you want to have a place to sit. I highly recommend this place. read more

If you're looking for a sandwich and near Danbury DMV to deal with registering a car or updating a license, this is the spot to get your nosh on. The menu has the usual deli fare of soup, salads, wraps, burgers with daily specials and some interesting, original sandwich combinations which I've enjoyed like The Maximus which has peppercorn turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, roasted red pepper mayo, coleslaw and hot peppers on Italian bread or Cadillac Frank which has eggs, hot roast beef, lettuce, tomato onion, american cheese on a hardroll or The Legend wraps which has eggs, bacon, hash browns, montery jack and salsa. Their home made cookies can sometimes be a little burnt around the edges but that's fine since I kind of like them like that. There is lots of parking on their corner lot. The counter staff were kind enough to run orders out to the lot for those not prepared to enter the establishment. read more

Nice atmosphere with quick and friendly service. The food is delicious. Definitely coming back here.

Great breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Awesome staff. What's not to like? The only thing missing is indoor seating but they have a few high bar chairs so you can eat on the countertop. Happy find. Will be a regular there for sure. Note: in good weather they do have a nice little outside seating section with a handful of tables. read more

I popped in for breakfast and found this gem joint. The sandwich go got was huge and filling. I say at the counter and watched theater at work. These guys have a clean and busy joint. Friendly and thorough the counter guy helped me quickly decide. My sandwich was well made delicious and filling. The coffee was very good and the people in and out the door tell me that this place is a total neighborhood hit! read more

Kaptein's Corner Deli - The big hit of the menu has ham sausage bacon 2 eggs and cheese. I had them add avocado. - Delis Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

Waited 30 minutes for my order. It was a little busy, but if they can't handle it, maybe they shouldn't take catering orders. I get my food. A tiny overcooked burger. Why ask how I want it if you are just going to burn it. Barely what they advertised. It was supposed to be a patty melt; one slice of cheese, no onions and one slice of mushroom on stale rye toast. AVOID THIS MONEY PIT!!! read more

Woah, I was not expecting this! I was out in the area working and needed a lunch with my coworkers today when I used my yelp app to find a deli. The menu items sounded interesting and we decided to come here! I am so glad we did!!! I ordered a sandwich that had grilled marinated chicken, mozzarella, a pesto mayo and it was amazingly delicious! The bread was very good! My coworkers also raved about their sandwiches as well. The place jumping busy and is tiny inside but we sat outside at the picnic table. I will definitely recommend this deli to my friends that live in Danbury. read more

I have to be honest. I dont know what all the rave reviews are about. Went today and ordered a roast beef with lettuce, mayo and cheese on a wedge. The best part of the sandwich is the bread. If it wasnt a real wedge bread I would think I was eating Subway. The sandwich is thin to say the least and very disappointing for $8.50. I am now convinced that there isnt one single decent deli in all of Danbury. tip to the owners - The bread should never be thicker than the stuffing. read more

Kaptein's Corner Deli - Pretty weak sandwich for $8.50 and all the rave reviews. Looks like a $5 footlong form subway and wasnt much better. - Delis Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

This place is super good! I had a chicken salad wrap special and it was delicious. I'll definitely be going back soon.

This is why you need to trust my review. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. We have some of the best delis in the country. My understanding of what makes a good deli is heads and shoulders above other patrons. That's not to say they don't have the clout to give you a good review, but I have the experience and the knowledge. This deli is fantastic. I'll tell you why 1. The food is fresh daily. You want grilled chicken in your sandwich, your going to get fresh marinated grilled daily grilled chicken. How about fresh mozzarella on your salad or sandwich? They've got local fresh rolled motz. That's absolutely fantastic and mouth watering. 2. The menu selection. For a small local deli that only provides fresh ingredients, these humble brothers have one hell of a selection. Not to mention that they'll make anything you want. One thing that I truly love is that they will not compromise their integrity by substituting Ingredients that they're out of. Meaning, when they're out, they're out. They learn from the demand. Insider tip: the clan chowder could win awards. 3. Their desire to please. They always... ALWAYS ask for feedback. That means that whatever I give them, they take and use it to make their service and product that much better. They're molding to their community and that, above the excellent food, the light atmosphere, the fresh ingredients.... Their attention to customer response is why I'll go back again and again. They'll only get better with time. These guys have a gem in their little corner of the community. I ALWAYS look forward to my next visit. Favorite meal: The Rock. It's a meatball sub on fresh toasted Arthur Ave bread, homemade meatballs, and local fresh rolled mozzarella. I'm making myself hungry... read more

I love this place! This place feels like coming home, honest to God. The guys will get you whatever you're hungry for. I was working overnights w/ my buddies and as soon as they opened up shop at 6 AM we'd be right there ready to order up some food. We were there every morning for a week straight. Their Beckies (Bacon, Egg & Cheese) hits the spot every time. We'd get creative and get bagels with avocado too. The brothers would be down to fix up whatever we wanted. I like my Becky w/ eggs over medium on a roll. They cook it up just right every time. My mouth is watering just writing this review. Go to Kaptein's! This place is fantastic. read more

Alright, So I might be the first 4 star guy rating these guys, but that's only because I haven't had lunch there yet. I started today with one of their breakfast sandwiches, and I can tell you that it was everything I was looking for, the perfect breakfast burrito - eggs, cheese, bacon, salsa and some potatoes. Oh man, my breakfast needs were totally satisfied. I also talked with Will and Will, both two great guys (and not to mention the orchestration the other employees performed as customers strolled in and left with their orders), but I could tell this is a place, a fine deli that I will come back to multiple times. I know I only gave you guys 4 stars, but I will be back to amend (plus, I mean, if I gave you 5, you wouldn't have anything to work up to)... So yeah, go grab yourself a sandwich to go or dine in the deli, you will be satisfied. read more

Here is how I found this place: I had an hour wait ahead of me at the DMV! I yelped and round this about a 5 minute walk away. Excellent deli and maybe a dozen places to sit. I had a chicken salad on a bed of house salad, and it was just great. Looks like they have other good stuff on the menu. Take my advice, get your number at DMV, and then walk over here for lunch! read more

Best place in CT. Love it, so glad we found an amazing deli. The staff is super friendly. And i believe this a family owned business, you def get the feel. read more

I've known the Kaptein's for as long as I can remember, and as far as I can tell, they treat this everybody that walks into their deli like family. I eat lunch here about once a week and every time I am immediately greeted by somebody ready to take my order. That isn't where it ends. It's hard for me to deviate from my usual, the piglet (which is absolutely amazing), but every time I have eaten here, it seems like the food gets better each time. Overall, I'm glad to see the deli striving and will absolutely continue to eat there every time I am in the area. read more

I ordered several bacon egg and cheese sandwiches along with sides and sweets. I ordered a side of hashbrowns with each sandwich. The woman behind the counter asked if I wanted the hashbrowns on the sandwiches. I said No! I waited for 20 mins waiting for the hashbrowns to finish cooking... only to be told they put them on the sandwiches. I was late already and was already annoyed watching people come and go. I spent $40 and all breakfast sandwiches went in the trash bins. They were soggy and the grease soaked into the roll. None of us could eat them. Sooooo disappointed. I won't be returning. I felt like they weren't very accommodating about the mistake they made. read more

Went for lunch twice based on high reviews on here. Both times left me underwhelmed. Food was decent, but the portions are on the smaller side for a $10 sub. One of the guys making the food wasn't wearing gloves either. read more

I try to get to Kaptein's at least once a week. Super friendly staff and I have never had a bad sandwich. Not a ton of seating (could use an outside picnic table!) but the food is awesome. I highly recommend the Melo, cold with lettuce and tomato. Definitely the best deli in Danbury, I have tried a ton. read more

I work nearby and am always looking for good lunch spots to try. Gave Kaptein's a shot, and now I'm a repeat customer. My favorite salad is the chicken club, and it's great as a wrap also. Fresh ingredients, you can tell they take pride in their establishment and their food. Located on the corner near the train track, this small unique deli is a crowd pleaser. They serve breakfast also which I haven't had the pleasure of popping in for yet, but if it's anything like their lunch options it certainly won't disappoint. Great team working there, everyone is friendly and pleasant. Keep it up Kaptein's! read more

My favorite sandwich joint in Danbury. I've ordered "The Mayor" sandwich about 100 times and have never been let down.
