Visited for the first time today and was really quite pleased with everything we tried. The vegetable panini had delicious fresh bread, and a nice variety of tender vegetables, including both grilled eggplant and breaded eggplant! The spicy meatball sandwich was more like a meatball mixed with spicy italian sausage, covered with cheese, peppers, onions, and tomato sauce. I really liked it. The chicken parm wedge was good too. Will very likely drop in again. read more

Lou's Deli - Veggie panini - Delis Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

We have ordered here a few times for work events and it is always amazing. Walking in, you get a feel of a Bronx deli. There are a few tables inside or you can take it to go. This time I got a Chicken Parm Wedge. I'm pretty sure they get the bread from the Bronx because it doesn't taste like the typical Connecticut bread. Really delicious sauce and chicken. Will continue to return here and suggest you stop in if you haven't. Five stars! read more

The BEST deli ever, owner is a nice hardworking person. White Russian wedge is the all time favorite and the lasagna soup. Recently had the chicken Marsala with rice and veggies and I enjoyed it. Pricing is the most reasonable in this area. read more

I wish I lived closer to Lou's! I was in the office three days this week. I knew I wanted to have lunch out at Lou's. My lasagna soup when I saw this on their menu board I thought to myself wait, what? Amazing! I love lasagna and on a cold day this soup is just what I needed. Then my cuban panini - the amount of the pulled pork was overflowing! I love pickles and then the spicy mustard a must have. Lou's has so much to offer. Give them a taste / try. read more

I'm new to the food scene in Danbury. I was craving an italian sub and found Lou's Deli, which is located right near me. I went during lunch time and there was a good amount of people waiting but the line moved fast. I got a bag of chips and a italian combo on a sub and the total came out to about $12. The sandwich was about 12" in size and filled with deli meat. For the size of the sandwich, I felt like it was an amazing deal. I couldn't finish the whole thing in one seating, had to save the rest of next day. read more

Let's address the elephant in the room, Lou's Deli resides in the same plaza as Bagel Man, a well known overpriced spot with several locations. Lou's has the authentic deli feel, with fresh loaves delivered from a Bronx, NY bakery. With several choices from specialty sandwiches made on fresh seeded rolls (upon request), to fresh mozzarella, to some tasty chicken salad, you are treated like a regular by Lou and his small group of staff. With a delicious assortment of potato chips, snacks, and drinks you are bound to find something you didn't even know you were craving. Give it a try. read more

Stopped by Lou's Deli for lunch and wow, what a great find! When you walk in you are met with delicious smells and all of a sudden you don't know where to start. Lou was friendly and helpful with menu items. Everything is made fresh - and you can tell. We shared 2 amazing a sandwiches (the #6 and steak&egg). And there is indoor seating. Great find! read more

Lou's is exactly what I needed. On a trip from NY to Connecticut, I typed in deli into yelp and Lou's came up. It did not disappoint. I ordered the Italian combo and a meatball sub and both were excellent. They were also HUGE. I took a picture next to a giant can of Arizona iced tea so you can see how big these sandwiches/subs are. You get your money's worth. I would definitely come back here. read more

Just stopped by the always reliable Lou's deli. Intent was a simple turkey sandwich for this trip. However, I was greeted with a still steaming 2-foot-long pork roast on the counter, with a suggested sandwich right behind it. I DID NOT make a mistake. Ended up with thinly sliced hot roast pork, fresh (house made) mozzarella, with a spicy lemon butter sauce (had pieces of cherry peppers in it) - on a seeded wedge. No exaggeration, the best sandwich I have had in the Danbury area. Top 5 I have had anywhere. My understanding is that they will be roasting a fresh pork every morning. I suggest giving it a try. read more

Lou's Deli - Best broccoli rabe egg and mozzarella ever! - Delis Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

This was amazing. Six weeks later, we are still talking about the bread on our sandwiches. The tuna was just right -- real tuna, just a hint of mayo. I couldn't eat all of mine in one sitting, and it held up well (in the fridge) for several hours. We live in the south now & don't get delis like this where we are. I wish we lived closer so we could eat from Lou's more often. read more

Solid little deli that makes tasty oversized breakfast sandwiches with great flavor and they do a nice job with layering their ingredients... if I could give 3.5 I would but not an option and 3 does this place no justice. This deli is well staffed and they do have quite the selection to choose from from breakfast to sandwiches to hot plates. Came here since my local favorite Kapteins is closed on the weekends and this place didn't disappoint. read more
