So for starters, it was 11 degrees outside and the diner had no working heat. I wish they told us that upon seating, and we wouldn't have stayed. We were very cold the whole time we were there. Second, the hostess looked like she just couldn't wait to go home. No smile, no words, just walked us to the table and threw the menus on the table. Maybe she was cold too, who knows. Third, the wait for the food was unreasonably long, especially considering how cold it was. Fourth, the place was dirty. Bugs in the light fixtures, grime on the tiles. The food was okay. I had apple and chicken wrap with blu cheese, cranberries, pecans and salad. It was delicious and fresh. My husband's buffalo chicken wrap was not so great. My daughter had a gyro that looked small for the adult sized dish. The bill was pleasantly low, which was a plus. Given the overall experience, we will not be back and do not recommend.

Service wasn't bad. Was kind of a random stop but filled me up and had good bakery items for sure. Was very busy but still not too crowded and stuff.

Probably a 3.5. Cute decor, a bit loud, service was friendly. Food was OK. Husband liked his turkey dinner, my club was amazing, and my non-picky daughter liked her chicken tenders (picky daughter didn't like the way the "looked ) fries left a little to be desired, no flavor but crispy) all the food was hot and overall we were happy.

I love the Eveready Diner; the moral of the story is: Go to the one in Hyde Park. Everything I ordered was not great, especially compared to the same items at the Hyde Park Diner by the same name. The chili was so salty that it was inedible. Maybe it was the milkshake machine's calibration, but the milkshake had a glob of ice cream in the middle of it, so it made it impossible to drink for quite a long time until the I cream had a chance to melt. The (tap) water tasted terrible. I love disco fries, and they tasted OK but seemed like they were overcooked. The waitress was accommodating. The decor was bright & clean.

i love this diner. Made me feel at home. I enjoyed the avcado toast. didn't leave a crumb like most diners i go to. Most people at my table were stealing my delicious fries that were the best i ever had. I liked the juke box which made me feel i was at a diner in my old days. the servers were very nice and seemed to love there jobs this morning. thanks for the great experience must come again.

Stopped in this popular 1950s-esque diner on our way to PA. Highly recommend the homemade onion rings -- completely fresh and handmade. The milkshakes are made with three scoops of ice cream. We ordered the Oreo and Pineapple; both of which were quite sizeable and delicious. The pineapple one was made using vanilla ice cream and a pineapple jam, so it has little chunks of pineapple. We also ordered the spicy shrimp wrap, corn beef Reuben, and the Souvlaki pita. All of which were great! The Reuben came with a lot meat, could almost make a second sandwich with it! Our server was attentive and proactive, yet allowed us pleasant space when we needed it. She brought us a little plate with accoutrements for our meal (coleslaw, pickles, bbq sauce) without us having to ask. Overall, would definitely recommend. I'm already thinking about when I can make it back out here to try one of their gorgeous cakes!

Everything was great. Lovely service and atmosphere, and a hefty menu with large portions. Breakfast is served all day which is great

Container of lemon, honey & a tea bag. Not pictured- my cup of hot water.

Food is great! However, this morning we ordered take out for breakfast. I ordered a hot tea with lemon and honey & thought it would come prepared... in a to-go cup. They literally gave me hot water in a cup; with lemon, honey and a tea bag in a to go container. I literally could've made that at home... the point of ordering it was so that it was ready to drink... Or I could've spent the money at Dunkin Donuts in the next plaza over and had it ready to go... Definitely disappointed.

Chili? Really no meat or sauce, almost an oatmeal consistency.

Trust, the quality is all here. This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

The place was busy, but the staff still made us feel completely taken care of. I'm usually not a fan of prix fixe menus and had my heart set on trying the Beef Wellington, but honestly, I didn't feel like I missed out at all. My filet and husbands lobster ravioli were both delicious, and the appetizers were just as impressive. Their wine selection was also really nice and paired perfectly with dinner. They were sold out of 2 of the bottles we initially requested so that speaks for itself ! We ended the night with a soufflé and a tart for dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish. Overall, such a great Valentine's dinner,we'll definitely be back! In addition to all that I was a huge fan of their fine China and wine glasses they were not only in pristine condition it was just so comforting to enjoy my food on beautiful plates. Our service throughout the meal was excellent with both our server and the manager (or owner?) checking in consistently. I really liked the decor and music as well. The decor is minimalistic, but I really liked how clean everything felt. I asked about the music -- it was 80s and 90s rock like Journey and Elton John and it matched our tastes perfectly for the particular moment in time we were there. They said they use pandora and the music varies from night to night, but we were fans. The food is where things weren't quite up to 5 stars, which is why the rating. We started with an autumn (squash) soup and wedge salad. The soup was good or maybe even a little better than good, but not great. For me, the salad was the same way. It comes with candied bacon and that just doesn't fit the profile of bleu cheese and iceberg. I ended up eating the salad without the bacon and then having the bacon at the end as an "opening dessert." The salad was super fresh and the dressing was well done. And the bacon alone was delicious--just not great together for my palate. We went with a couple handmade pasta dishes as our mains and they were both good. Again, not quite great. I liked mine better than my wife's. That is sis's new favorite was well named to my mind. It was spicy, but not overly so and the tomato and broccoli added depth to the dish that was missing from my wife's pasta. I would 100% come back. If we do, I think we'd split a pasta and a main. Some of the fish dishes we saw go by looked fantastic. The one negative to me was an occasional whiff of marijuana. I'm totally fine with someone taking a break to calm themselves if that's what they need. I just don't want to smell that while I'm eating, especially in a restaurant that is otherwise very very nice.

Immediately I went on the Yelp app to see the reviews and mostly all of them were positive except quite a few people complained about how long they waited for their food. Well, they were legitimate complaints. Me and my wife waited roughly 45 - 50 minutes for 2 egg platters. The part that upset me was the people that walked in after us and sat at the counter were served before us. Basically the cook (owner) served his normal customers first. If it wasn't for the long wait time I would've easily scored Bob's 5 stars but 45 - 50 minutes for eggs will deter me from going back.

I'd say 98% of breakfast places have pancakes that disappoint but not these. Since I wasn't sure, I let the kids order them instead since they will eat anything as long as there is maple syrup on it. We ordered them a short stack of blueberry pancakes to share and added on real maple syrup. They were golden and not too thick or heavy. They had to pay the "mom tax" of sharing some with me. My husband ordered eggs, home fries and bacon and the bacon was also perfectly done- something else that we don't often find. The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.
