So for starters, it was 11 degrees outside and the diner had no working heat. I wish they told us that upon seating, and we wouldn't have stayed. We were very cold the whole time we were there. Second, the hostess looked like she just couldn't wait to go home. No smile, no words, just walked us to the table and threw the menus on the table. Maybe she was cold too, who knows. Third, the wait for the food was unreasonably long, especially considering how cold it was. Fourth, the place was dirty. Bugs in the light fixtures, grime on the tiles. The food was okay. I had apple and chicken wrap with blu cheese, cranberries, pecans and salad. It was delicious and fresh. My husband's buffalo chicken wrap was not so great. My daughter had a gyro that looked small for the adult sized dish. The bill was pleasantly low, which was a plus. Given the overall experience, we will not be back and do not recommend.

Probably a 3.5. Cute decor, a bit loud, service was friendly. Food was OK. Husband liked his turkey dinner, my club was amazing, and my non-picky daughter liked her chicken tenders (picky daughter didn't like the way the "looked ) fries left a little to be desired, no flavor but crispy) all the food was hot and overall we were happy.

I love the Eveready Diner; the moral of the story is: Go to the one in Hyde Park. Everything I ordered was not great, especially compared to the same items at the Hyde Park Diner by the same name. The chili was so salty that it was inedible. Maybe it was the milkshake machine's calibration, but the milkshake had a glob of ice cream in the middle of it, so it made it impossible to drink for quite a long time until the I cream had a chance to melt. The (tap) water tasted terrible. I love disco fries, and they tasted OK but seemed like they were overcooked. The waitress was accommodating. The decor was bright & clean.

Service wasn't bad. Was kind of a random stop but filled me up and had good bakery items for sure. Was very busy but still not too crowded and stuff.

i love this diner. Made me feel at home. I enjoyed the avcado toast. didn't leave a crumb like most diners i go to. Most people at my table were stealing my delicious fries that were the best i ever had. I liked the juke box which made me feel i was at a diner in my old days. the servers were very nice and seemed to love there jobs this morning. thanks for the great experience must come again.

Stopped in this popular 1950s-esque diner on our way to PA. Highly recommend the homemade onion rings -- completely fresh and handmade. The milkshakes are made with three scoops of ice cream. We ordered the Oreo and Pineapple; both of which were quite sizeable and delicious. The pineapple one was made using vanilla ice cream and a pineapple jam, so it has little chunks of pineapple. We also ordered the spicy shrimp wrap, corn beef Reuben, and the Souvlaki pita. All of which were great! The Reuben came with a lot meat, could almost make a second sandwich with it! Our server was attentive and proactive, yet allowed us pleasant space when we needed it. She brought us a little plate with accoutrements for our meal (coleslaw, pickles, bbq sauce) without us having to ask. Overall, would definitely recommend. I'm already thinking about when I can make it back out here to try one of their gorgeous cakes!

Everything was great. Lovely service and atmosphere, and a hefty menu with large portions. Breakfast is served all day which is great

Container of lemon, honey & a tea bag. Not pictured- my cup of hot water.

Trust, the quality is all here. This was the best thing for us especially since we were in the area catching up with a few errands. Southeast G's chic, dark grey+black outside design is softened by flowers, the bar area has light wood flooring, large counter off to one side, tables and booths. The space honestly gives out an inviting atmosphere without feeling stuffy. There's also a dining area which faces the reservoir making it perfect for casual events/gatherings. The Tito's Raspberry Tom Collins called me. That sucker started refreshing and its strength soon crept up! My $16 salad with pan seared salmon was fantastic. The dressing was done simply in lemon+oil. Hubs' sliced hanger steak over potatoes, sautéed veggies and drizzled with an demi glace was his winning ticket- and at $20, he enjoyed it to the fullest. Unlike eateries with jacked up prices, this is a terrific all-in-one for us: fantastic prices+strong drink+tasty food. We really couldn't ask for more. These folks take their menu seriously. And by the way- our server Heather, was spot on and pleasant.

We started with a really great two cheese crostini which was delicious. I paired that with a rye old fashioned (or two) and that drink really hit the spot. For my entree I had a meatball hero which was just as delicious the next day when I had the second half for lunch. The portion was huge and I loved the meatballs and the sauce. For dessert we had a cheesecake with a house made pistachio creme which was amazing. We had a chance to talk to Tim who I believe owns the place and we asked him about a sign we saw on the westside at Innovation Studios for a Rebellion Gastropub. He says he hopes to have that open early in the new year so we can't wait to try that out as well, especially since it's only a five minute drive. But it's worth a 20 minute drive or more to visit Rebellion and we'll definitely be back.

We started with the shishito peppers topped with feta, and they were absolutely divine. The combination of flavors was incredible and made for a fantastic appetizer. For my meal, I ordered the Burrata Crunch Melt, and it was excellent. The bread was perfectly toasted--soft on the inside while still delivering an amazing crunch on the outside. Every bite was delicious. The weather was beautiful, so we chose to sit outside. The staff went above and beyond by putting up extra umbrellas to make sure our group was comfortable. Our server was a young woman who was incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive. She made the experience even more enjoyable with her warm and welcoming attitude. Between the delicious food, great service, and lovely outdoor atmosphere, Barnwood Grill was a highlight of our day. I would absolutely return if I'm ever in the area again! My food was ok. I still rate four stars for a few reasons. One, I've only been to this place…read moreonce, and I only ordered a breakfast burrito. Two, I've only visited once. Three, they seem to have a lot more to offer, so I can't be too harsh on a one time visit. Again, got the breakfast burrito, with eggs, bacon, avocado, tomato, and pepper jack cheese. I was surprised at the lack of seasoning and how I couldn't really taste the cheese. I say this because I am a palm colored person and I think the proprietors may be Mexican, so I expected a little more pizazz (please call me in if this is being insensitive). Maybe they are just trying to accommodate the locals or be neutral. The folks working (possibly the owners?) are super nice. Lots of drink options (juices, water, sparkling water). Also sells coffee, tea. They also sell a lot of sauces, including hot sauces, pasta sauces, various condiments. The menu seems pretty broad: Brekkie: BEC, omelets, burritos, lox bagels, steak and egg wrap. Lunch/dinner: skirt steak sandwich, Italian chicken cutlet, grilled chicken, burgers. Salads and wraps to include caesar, greek, house, buffalo chicken, etc. They also have quesadillas, tacos, burritos, wings, nachos, empanadas. The shop is bright, open, clean. Definitely seems like a community spot. I am sure they are five stars. My particular visit was a one off. Or maybe it's a me thing. But if you're ever in this tiny little hamlet, stop off at Milton's and give them a try.
