Hands down the best breakfast spot in the area. So much hometown feel, such a cool environment, friendly people, and the aura of a place where everyone knows your name! The Burberry Pancakes are the best. The coffee is good both hot and iced. The biggest breakfast, called the hungry man - is 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes, all with home fries and your choice of toast - all for just $10.99, more food than you will eat! Oh, and they get it - when you ask for hot sauce, they ask what kind? Apparently they have Franks, sriracha, Louisiana, Tabasco, and at least one more. Great, friendly staff.Well priced for the area. Great cook. Has a good read on the clientele. Whether you eat at the counter or at a table this is a great experience. The best hash browns I ever had. An old style diner still hanging on with excellent food, their waitress was a dream come true in courtesy and kindness, and a clean well kept building. The cook made a basic breakfast of eggs and toast to perfection with great coffee and hot tea (not lukewarm like most places), and the bill was appropriate. read more

Stopped by Bob's this morning because the trains were down and I have no power at home so I had to charge my phone. This tiny place had a full house (with COVID protocols - distant seating) they let me charge my phone before I was able to order and get a seat. Lauren was hustling, working by herself. She kept her cool and was so friendly. Theresa came in not too long after to help out. They were both so accommodating and would go out of their way to make sure every patron was happy. I was so impressed by their positive and hard working attitudes (especially since they are younger)! Once it calmed down, I got the chance to order iced coffee and French toast, both were so delicious! Tom was working his BUTT off the entire time working the griddle non-stop. I've been going to Bob's on and off for 20+ years. It's well over 1/2 hour away from me, but I make a point to go here when I'm in the area or passing by, simply because Tom (owner and grillmaster) makes possibly the best omelette I've ever had, and serves hash browns on weekends, and occasionally on weekdays when he has them in stock. There's a comfortable variety to the menu, not too big and not too small. Everything is cooked fresh to order, and served promptly by servers who are friendly, efficient and hard working. The diner is clean, well it, and small; there's a noticeable takeout business as well as plenty of customers who come in to sit down and enjoy their meals. Prices are good and the quality of the food is superior to anything in the same price range from any chain, and from other diners. I've probably been to half the diners in the Hudson Valley and if I had to pick the best one, this is it. read more

Great place for Sunday breakfast. If your real hungry recommend you get the hungry jack, eggs, pancakes and sausage, spend the extra buck for pure maple syrup it really brings the pancakes to life. After apple picking we stopped in this Diner for a quick bite...Initially after entering my friend looked at me and whispered..."Do you want to stay here?" I thought this was a lovely nook located in a small town called Brewster. The waitresses are friendly and patient. The veggie quesadilla that I had was completely satisfying in portion size and fresh quality ingredients. I was so happy with my meal and would consider driving 2 hours back there to grab something else. My fiancee had the nutella banana french toast which did taste great. If only Bob's Diner would relocate to Charlotte, I'd be a very happy (and fat) girl!! Grew up going to Bob's on the weekend mornings with family, then as I got older spent many a drunken night/morning soaking up the alcohol with some unhealthy but delicious diner food. Bacon, egg and cheeses, burgers, BLT's, french fries, pancakes and on and on are all sooo good. Its usually at its absolute best when Thomas is behind the grill but others do a great job as well. The service was terrible. This review is strictly on the service of the restaurant. The brunette waitress we had today was on her phone 90% of the time and gossiping with the other waitress not paying attention to any of her tables. It was not just our table that was visibly annoyed and frustrated. She got our order wrong and it took about 55 minutes for our meal to come out in the first place. Once we were done I had to get up to ask her for the check. Also to note aside of her eventually taking our order and eventually bringing our food she never looked or checked up on our table or others. After getting the check from her she gave the check back no apology nothing no words. Very rude. If anything comes of this review I'd atleast like to see a no phone policy for the waitresses/waiters as they were paying more attention to their phones and messaging their friends than their customers. read more

Awesome diner I am frequent breakfast person who has tried many diners in the area and most have been fair however Bobs Diner is on my top three list! The potatoes are awesome and fresh (not like typical diners where they are sloppy and have ben sitting overnight), the sausage selection was great and the pancakes are to die for! My choice for breakfast but go early since it does get crowded! My son and I tend to go early before we go skiing! read more

Great joint with yesteryear feel but the cool, very friendly young staff makes this place! Food was good, cheap with big sized portions! I recently moved to Brewster and went here with my husband...and when raving about it to my grandma, I learned she use to come here with my grandpa when they were dating! The food is SO. GOOD! We come here every weekend for a burger, coffee and fries now, and I look forward to it more than any mentally sane adult should. If you're going for the first time, I recommend sitting at the "bar" and watching the meals grill and come out one by one, because you'll see they don't make anything that's not incredibly delicious. Great eats. Great unique venue. Great staff. Rolled in around noon on a Sunday had a rock'n roast beef sandwich on rye called the Balboa. Tasted great and filled me up, but after watching the parade of breakfast platters go by I think the locals we on to something that we weren't because those pancakes and hashbrowns looked spectacular. On a side bar the place is tiny so come during off peak hours unless you want to wait. read more

I came in with my son not too long ago and while we were waiting for a table, no one even looked at us. The cook was extremely rude and his friends were talking about VERY inappropriate topics at the counter which we could all here due to the smallness of the diner. Extremely unprofessional and the poor (young) waitress was running around busing and serving AND cleaning with no help. They definitely don't know how to run a business.
