Garden salad

My family and I went here for brunch, and everything was absolutely delicious! I had the swordfish with clams, which came with a side and dessert. I chose the garden salad -- fresh greens topped with spiced sweet pecans and goat cheese -- and finished with a wonderful tiramisu for dessert. My family ordered breakfast favorites like omelets, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was kind and attentive, and we're so glad we chose this restaurant for brunch!

Mike W was our waiter and he was awesome! Thank you! Visited here during their happy hour time where certain apps are $6 and it's -$2 off drinks. Really loved the fried pickles. They had a great crunch. The Philly Cheesesteak eggs rolls had a horseradish dipping sauce. So good! I ordered the blood orange margarita and it was spicy! So beware! We ended up getting the dinner meal for $27 which included a salad or soup, meal, and dessert. I really enjoyed the cook on the my meat. Overall I'm really happy with the service, prices, vibe, and experience! I haven't been in a long time so this was a nice experience!

Absolutely delicious! We got the surf N turf. It was perfection and hit the spot! The waitress was friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was busy. We didn't wait long to be seated. It was cozy inside. Great date night spot.

The French toast, one of many choices in the multi-course brunch menu.

Extended family and I had Sunday brunch here a few weeks ago. We were seated in the area reserved for larger parties. The multiple brunch courses and the service were wonderful, adding to the ambience of sharing a meal with those we hold dear. Highly recommend.

The food was wonderful and our server was a blast. We came with a group of friends for dinner. I had not been here for a good two years and it exceeded my expectations. One of our friends confused the mules bc I guess they offer different types and he graciously explained the difference, where they originated from and then took back the mule she didn't like and brought her another one for her to try. We ordered a few different things everything was delicious. The place was pretty packed even in the bar area. We'll definitely be back.

Pink Panther! Not too sweet! Great vibe at the bar!

Strip Steak was great! Eggplant starter was fantastic. Service at bar a little slow, but they were BUSY on a Saturday night.

Second visit to this hidden gem in Danbury, CT. Here for work and walked across the parking lot from my hotel. First time was with a group and the staff was super attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Menu is larger than I expected. I had a Risotto-cum-paella the first time and Filet today. Both were excellent. Enough space to be at the bar (with plenty of TV and sports) or off at a quiet table. I'm more of a bar guy and was impressed by the bartenders service and attention to detail. I'd recommend the Black Angus to anyone

We came here for for my wife's birthday dinner. We were overly satisfied with our experience. Located off Newton Rd in Danbury. Lots of parking. Inside and outdoor seating is available. All the staff we interacted with were fantastic, especially our server. Lots of great decor, especially the case of steaks. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere. There's a nice bar area which include tv for baseball and other sports. The food was amazing. I started with an arugula Caesar salad. It's not on the menu but my server was kind enough to substitute the lettuce for arugula. We then moved to the Tomahawk steak for 2. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Every bite was soft and melted in my mouth. They cut it so well from the bone there was minimal meat after they played it. We ordered 4 sauces to go with the steak: horseradish cream, bourbon peppercorn, bernaise, and Barbarie's prime steak. My favorite was the horseradish followed by the Barbarie's steak sauce. We got the brownie a la mode for dessert. Very delicious, still warm so the ice cream was melting on top as it should. Barberie's is my new go to steakhouse for special occasion. Five stars!

Our first drinks were on the house...he was so excited to hear that we were married 60 years. Moved to a table for dinner. We had crab cakes as a second appetizer which were delicious as well as our seafood dinners. I had lobster with fettuccine and veggies. My husband had pasta seafood. Had just enough room for an Irish coffee and gelato. Service was fantastic! Can't say enough about our experience. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Unfortunately, the experience quickly declined once our server arrived. They were dismissive, gave us uncomfortable looks, and their attitude made us feel unwelcome. The food was mediocre and not worth the price. Most dishes lacked flavor, especially the chicken wings, which had no seasoning at all. Throughout the meal, we were consistently overlooked by the staff. Despite being clearly visible, we had to repeatedly ask for assistance while employees stood nearby without offering help. What made the experience particularly upsetting was the sense that we were being treated differently based on our appearance. The behavior felt discriminatory and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Overall, I would not recommend this place. We barely ate and asked for the check early just so we could leave

My uncles husband insisted on taking my husband and myself out for a steak dinner, and wanted to go…read moreto Chuck's. We hadn't been there since their re-opening, so we were looking forward to it. Upon entering, the manager greeted us by saying Merry Christmas, and asked if we had a reservation, we did not, but he said it was no problem. Our uncle had recently had a hip replacement, and asked where we would be seated, (I'm assuming he asked because he was still having difficulty walking, and might have wanted to ask for a close table.) The manager replied, "you'll sit where I put you." Okay, we chose to take it as a bit of humor, and we wound up sitting close to the entrance anyway. We get our menus, and the "specials" menu was a little confusing, because it was Saturday, and the specials menu said it was for Sunday. The manager happened to be walking by, and my husband asked if the menu we were handed might have been given to us by mistake. The manager assured him that EVERYTHING on the menu were the specials of the day. We were still a little confused, because the menu specified certain days when other meal options were available. We then all decided to order the prime rib (Monday - Prime Rib), it may not have been Monday, but it was a specific day on the specials menu. So, when placing our prime rib order with the waitress, she informed us that the prime rib was only available on the day indicated. Derp. Okay, we moved on from that, and we all three decided on the "cowboy rib-eye". From here on, I can only tell you what I experienced with my meal. I ordered the steak and a side of creamed spinach. The $46.00 steak was huge, but very difficult to cut. I had to saw at it, and in trying to do so, ran into so much gristle that it was almost inedible. My creamed spinach was extremely watery and had no seasoning at all. My uncle was sitting next to me, and I saw him repeatedly removing the steak he was chewing, and putting it onto his plate. I was having the same trouble chewing my steak, but I just kept chewing until I could swallow it. Creamed spinach is my very favorite side, so I was willing to overlook the tough as nails steak to enjoy the spinach, but the waterlogged side I received failed that simple assignment. I wish I could have been able to give a positive review, but I just can't. I will never want to go back to Chuck's, even if invited. From the manager's odd greeting and very loud gruff voice ordering the staff around, to an extremely disappointing and expensive meal - this place gets two thumbs down from me.

Very disappointing in terms of food taste and quality. Went here for a coworker's retirement party…read more We were all packed into this tiny party room where barely anyone could fit into a table. We got our drinks fairly quickly. It took an hr for us to be allowed in the salad bar. I ate a small amount so not to be spoiled. When it came time for our meals it was a weird buffet style meal. The "fillet mignon", onions and mushrooms were just regular beef. Juicy meat but some of us were expecting a big piece of meat to cut. The tongs were like those old school hand resistance training thingies. The pasta hardly had any taste, the best thing was the chicken parm and mashed potatoes. The servers were okay. But they were spilling drinks around the tables. It was very cold and uncomfortable inside from people opening the door. They could have closed the door to our party room so it wouldnt get so drafty. I would've liked ice cream instead of Costco cake for dessert. It was also full of drunk people shouting all evening. But what was more important was saying goodbye to a very kind colleague. It's unfortunate that the food wasn't so memorable.

The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.
