What a great experience. Fresh food and great service. Cacio e Pepe is a MUST. Side table freshly made for us. I love family-owned restaurants. They make sure they deliver nothing but the best. Artichoke hearts for appetizer are on point. Highly recommended for families. If you like nice food and a good atmosphere, definitely this is the place. I was visiting with my kid. And they are super kid-friendly.

What a really nice authentic restaurant! I was surprised how good and flavorful the food was, and even how nice it looks inside. You're almost transported to about part of the world. The food was soooo good. The branzino was beautifully cooked and filleted table side. Did I mention the flavors were incredible? We finished with the housemade lemoncello which was divine Ava refreshing. A 10/10. The waiter was friendly and the owners son so you get the family vibe for sure.

We discovered this place while looking for a sit-down pizzeria that used to be at the same address, and while we were sad at its loss, Castello is a net gain. It's a bit on the fancy side, but the food is up to snuff and a nice surprise this deep into the outer 'burbs (Danbury is the terminus for a branch of the Metro North). The Carpaccio de Manzo was tasty, and my Swordfish steak was not overcooked, which is a rarity and appreciated. Food was well-presented and delicious. The Cannoli I had for dessert was a thing of beauty, and tasty to boot. A little on the pricy side, but nice for a family or date outing.

The staff is warm, attentive, and makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in. We started with the sausage and peppers appetizer, which had just the right amount of spice and paired perfectly with their house-made bread and olive oil -- truly delicious. For my main dish, I ordered the linguine loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, and even a lobster tail, all served in a slightly toned-down fra diavolo sauce. Every bite was fresh and flavorful. My wife had the pan-seared branzino, made specially gluten-free, and it was perfectly done. What impressed us most is that every dish is made to order and served hot -- nothing feels pre-made here. You can taste the quality and care in each plate. This little restaurant is an incredible find, and we'll definitely be back.

Tonight I got a pork chop that was breaded and fried served with an arugula salad that was just perfectly cooked and a very nice portion. It was a Tuesday night so we didn't make a reservation, got their kind of late, at 8 o'clock and they close at nine. We didn't end up leaving until 930 but we're never pestered to leave. We stared with the seafood tower (amazing); I had the veal martini which was delicious, my wife had the special which was fish in a mustard sauce which was delicious, but the stars of the show were the fillet mignon which was a solid 3" thick, and the 45-day, dry aged porterhouse which was simply mouthwatering! We were seated in the atrium, and halfway through the meal, the glass roof started opening!! Next thing you know we had an open view of the sky, and fresh air! It was awesome! So cool watching it open. Not inexpensive by any means, but with food like that, one can appreciate and understand what you're paying for.....not to mention the service, which was impeccable (we had I think 4-5 people serving us throughout the meal, all attentive but not overbearing) with a young man named John, being the lead waiter for us, who was amazing, polite, appreciative and on the ball....we hope to have him as our server again when we return in August.

This is not your typical Italian restaurant. The food is truly authentic, and absolutely amazing! We started with the calamari as an appetizer, and it was delicious. All of the pasta is homemade, which really makes a difference in both flavor and quality. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It was decorated so tastefully for Christmas, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were seated in front of the fireplace, which made the evening feel especially romantic. The drinks were excellent, and the waitstaff were attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. This is the perfect place for a date night or any special occasion. We will definitely be back!

We started with a really great two cheese crostini which was delicious. I paired that with a rye old fashioned (or two) and that drink really hit the spot. For my entree I had a meatball hero which was just as delicious the next day when I had the second half for lunch. The portion was huge and I loved the meatballs and the sauce. For dessert we had a cheesecake with a house made pistachio creme which was amazing. We had a chance to talk to Tim who I believe owns the place and we asked him about a sign we saw on the westside at Innovation Studios for a Rebellion Gastropub. He says he hopes to have that open early in the new year so we can't wait to try that out as well, especially since it's only a five minute drive. But it's worth a 20 minute drive or more to visit Rebellion and we'll definitely be back.
