For whatever reason, all the 4 & 5 star reviews have all been filtered OUT. That's not cool, Yelp. I love renting space here and have been a very happy tenant for 3 years. 7/25/15: I started using Pinole SPS after the sudden death of a family member for whom I was responsible (and who had a lot of stuff!). It was a very hard time for me and they were not only helpful in a business sense, but so kind as human beings, that it made coming and going to deal with my dead relative's belongings a little less sad & lonely. The facility is spotless and feels safe at all hours it is open. The employees are personable, friendly and helpful. Michelle Babb is a gem! I honestly can't rate it highly enough. I have often thought how odd it is to feel that, of all the agencies I deal with - including Macys, Walgreens, PG&E, etc. - I am given the BEST, most personable service at a storage facility!! This place is a very professionally ran company.I called Security Public Storage in Pinole to get a price quote and a lady named Sara answered.She was very through in trying to find a unit big enough to suit my specific needs.After our telephone conversation she offered to email me the price we spoke about.I was offered a 25 percent off my first 2 months and also a complimentary reservation. I came by the following weekend and Sara showed me a few different units ranging in size, door type ( roll up or standard)& location.(fyi if u choose a unit upstairs it will be a few dollars less than one downstairs)I also liked the fact that they have an onsite manager that lives on the premises to give me that added sense of security.As if that wasn't enough Sara also explained that each unit had it's own alarm and if anyone tried to open it with out inputting the correct access code at the front security gate office staff would be alerted.They also had a decent amount of moving supplies such as boxes and bubble wrap.Sara made the rental easy. All I was asked for was my driver's license and the first month's rent. I was not locked into a long contract nor was there any $1 pays for your first month's rent gimmicks.The facility was clean and the office was very comfortable and fresh feeling.Ample parking, large elevators,wide staircases,complimentary water and moving carts provided.I also like the fact I can pay my monthly bill online and get my invoice emailed to my cell phone.They are open 7 days a week and give customers an 11 day grace period after your rental due date.This company has thought of everything and their customer service exceeded my expectations. read more

Sara was very helpful and informative when I called to inquire about an available small storage unit and if there was a minimum lease/contract time. We are buying out first house and being able to store our items for a short term period is great and takes the pressure off an already stressful time. Sara was fantastic and clear in her communication when I met her to sign paperwork in person. The facility is clean, plenty of parking inside, and there are flat beds available to haul your stuff through the building. It's been a much better experience with Sara and Pinole Security Storage than other storage units in the area. They make is painless and simple. read more

I've always had good service at Security Public Storage Pinole. The grounds are secured by security gates activated by customer ID code entry. The walls inside are sheathed in metal to minimize any fire risk. The hosts in the office have always been friendly and helpful--even coming up to my unit to replace a burned-out lightbulb. read more

I am moving my Storage from Oakland to Pinole. The price here is about half of what I was paying in Oakland for a similar space and about 1/3 of the price I was paying in SF. Sara at the front desk was great to work with. She gave me a tour of the available units and she was fast efficiant and very helpful getting the paper work done. I've stored my things in this place for 10+ years. I checked out other storage units at one point and was I shocked. Other places a 12' x 12' means 12' high by 12' long but maybe on 3 ' deep. Here you get a 12' x 12' unit. They have odd shaped units where you can really get a bargain. They maintain the property very well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have been known to close the gates before their closing time of 7pm. If you're looking to store something, check this place first. read more
