I came in with a few basic questions about storage options, and he acted like I was wasting his time. He was short, dismissive, and just completely unprofessional. It honestly felt like he went out of his way to be unhelpful. No eye contact, no effort to explain anything, just attitude. I left more confused than when I got there. Also -- the place was filthy. Dust everywhere, weird smell, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I wouldn't trust this place with anything I care about. If this is how CubeSmart treats people, especially with someone like Daniel running things, I'd avoid it at all costs. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.

WET!!!!!!…read more Unfortunately we store out stuff in the cube over the summer(June to August). The cube got wet during the summer, and Several pieces of our furniture for wet. They said they were not responsible for it, and told us to call the insurance company ( which we pay extra money for the service). Also, there is no place for us to throw our damaged furniture around the cube. Also, we are asking if we could move out on 9/1 instead of 8/31, and they ask us to pay for the whole month of September for this. Very disappointed.

Kenny, the manager, is one of the kindest and most patient customer service representatives I have ever encountered. Kenny showed me several units, answered all my questions, and even helped me think about which unit is best suited for me instead of just going with the higher priced unit. You can tell that he really cares about his customers rather than other storage companies who just want to make a buck. He even stayed an hour after closing time to show me more storage units because I couldn't make up my mind. I didn't even get this type of service at Chanel! The storage units are well kept, clean, and well ventilated. The prices are just as great as their customer service. If you're thinking of renting anywhere else - don't. I couldn't stop raving about this place to all my friends. Corporate, if you're reading this, you seriously need to give Kenny a raise. I've never met anyone more dedicated to his job. Get off yelp and call them already!

They were kind, professional, efficient, and punctual! My only word of advice would be to the front office, they didn't seem to provide enough communication to the movers and they were short on packing supplies and just how much they had to pack (to be fair they still did an amazing job which is why I'm still giving 5 stars). I would've preferred a phone call as opposed to filling out the app so there wouldn't be as much miscommunication between the movers and the job they had to do. Also, while it wasn't an issue, I got an email about 18 hours before our move asking if they could reschedule it for 2 hours earlier. I would've preferred to be informed much sooner and not just through email but it worked out just fine. Overall I would absolutely hire them again and you should too! (Just be extra communicative about what you need).

As expected, they were easy to work with, pleasant all around from the texts to the phone to the muscle! Three nice guys showed up. We weren't even done packing yet, which they took in stride, and helped us wrap, box and tape like champs. They even had to take some big items out the back way and hoist them over the 2nd floor railing! In the new place, they positioned our rugs, and our sofa and desks, even assembled our Sleep Number bed and adjusted the setting. They are VERY experienced in all things! And only one item broke, and it was too easy to break, and will be good as new with some Crazy Glue. I hope we don't have to move again anytime soon (knock wood!) but if we do, I know who to call!

Communication with the office staff was prompt leading up to the move, but once I reported the damage and submitted a claim after the move that communication fizzled out. It has now been months since I submitted my claim along with all the requested paperwork and photos, and I still haven't received a response from whatever random insurance company they use. It's extremely frustrating to pay a lot of money for a service, have expensive belongings damaged, and then be left without any resolution. I did a lot of research when choosing a moving company and felt that I could trust their current ratings. I'm so disappointed with how all of this was handled and I would recommend going with another moving company.

I had a great experience with Yellowbrick, and I can't emphasize it more. I've kept my things in…read morestorage places outside of Boston for years now, but this past time I wanted something closer to the city, and I was only renting out for a month. They gave me a pretty good deal, if you're a student ask about special rates, and it was about the same rate as I had been paying. Another plus is that they'll let you use your own lock, which I've found to be rare in storage units, and the facilty is very clean, and I found it to be pretty well lit for a storage unit. Yellowbrick is in a narrow alley, and has multiple levels, however that wasn't too big of a hassle. The staff was always super friendly, especially Trevor, who ended up helping us back out of the ally in a big truck and stopped traffic for us too. If you do have a bigger vehicle definitely be aware that there could be some problems. When I was moving out of the storage unit I used their new delivery service. It was $90 but I found it to be worth every penny. They delivered to me on Labor Day, and generally seemed to be working that entire weekend and really flexible. The guys were very friendly, on time, and incredibly helpful. They were so wonderful, especially as I was all by myself trying to move a carload of stuff. If you're looking for storage near Boston, I would say this is a great bet.

This place is great…read more The place is clean, the prices are great, and the guys I dealt with (Tom and Fred) were very nice. I've read the negative reviews, and they are unjustified. I went there on a hot day and the inside was nice and cool. Is the entrance spacious? No, but that didn't stop me from comfortably driving a 10' U-Haul truck right up to the door. And when I had to back out, Tom was great about directing me and stopping the traffic on Harvard Ave. As for the hours, they are clearly stated on the company's website. If you are literate enough to write a review here, then you should have no problem reading the clearly printed hours on the website. Is this place ultra-modern? No. Are the insides of the storage bins well-lit? No. But neither of those things is incredibly important (unless you're planning on illegally living in the storage unit). I've stored stuff at other places such as Brighton Storage and the storage wasn't well-lit there either. I'm not so crazy about the paint flaking off the brick walls, but honestly, there is absolutely no need for there to be paint on the walls. It doesn't protect things any better (although, again, for those planning on illegally trying to live in a storage unit, it might make you feel more at home). The other thing is that after you finish dropping off your stuff, you can go to S&I (probably the greatest Thai restaurant in Boston) on Brighton Ave. and stuff yourself. And then you can grab some brews at the liquor store on the corner. I don't know who the owner is, but as far as I'm concerned, Tom should be getting paid more. That guy turned an incredibly hectic and stress-filled day into something a lot less so. Great job!

Watertown Self Storage is clean, organized and new; U-Haul is old, dirty and a hot mess. The 9 foot cargo van is also available for pick up here (and can be picked up during off hours!!!) and I have a tentative reservation for that later this month as well. We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.
