I had to have a refrigerator lifted with a crane to my porch, then into my home. They charged me 1500.00 cash.. The crane driver was excellent. Took 15 minutes! The 2 people that moved it in were a disaster. They put a hole in my deck, and ruined my hardwood floor with a device they used to bring the refrigerator in that was not adequate.. It left wheel indentations in my floor throughout my entire hallway and kitchen. I asked them if they needed some padding on the floor before rolling an 800 lb refrigerator on the floors. They told me "NO"! They ruined my hardwood floors. I called them, Bill came over- what an attitude he had from the minute I let him into my home! I showed him the damage, he told me I was a liar, he started yelling and bullying me till I felt threatened in my own home. I asked him to leave! I called them back almost every day for a month and a half, and never to return my call. Damaging property and just threatening someone is no way to run a business! read more

We had appliances craned into our condo through the window because they wouldn't fit up the staircase. From the initial visit by the measurement team through the quoting and scheduling (Rebecca was awesome!), and finally the delivery of the appliances, everyone at Titan was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Helpful planning, great execution, really nice people. I recommend Titan without reservation. I needed a crane service to lift an appliance into my 6th floor apartment. Titan handled everything from picking up the appliance to get it into their warehouse right through lifting the new one in, installing it, and craning the old one out. Greg, the estimator, visited our location to assess the situation. Rebecca in the office handled a series of scheduling issues caused by Home Depot's delivery service. Chuck, Sam, and Jean did all the work on site, threading the 300# appliance through our living room window. All were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and effective. A great experience. horrible!!!! Firstly, they're expensive!! Secondly, when they come to pick my items up, they tried to charge me an extra $1,000 for NO LOGICAL REASON! The drivers, customer service and the dispatch team were RUDE. Not only did they take THREE WEEKS after my scheduled delivery to actually deliver my items, but things arrived broken . And the day of delivery they were 7 and a half hours LATE. I rarely do reviews. But this was just bad service. I do not recommend them!! read more

Titan helped me crane up a large two-piece sectional that seemed an impossible task (it wouldn't fit through the hallway..thanks Boston apartments). I was even offered same-day service and the guys that came to help were very professional, communicative and arrived on time. Within 5-10 minutes both pieces were inside my living room, no damage to them or the building. They even helped me put back my window in. Titan doesn't mess around - they are AWESOME!!! We called them to crane our appliances into our house. They had to deliver them to the roof, go down the roof deck hatch and into our kitchen... They took care of everything - I called them and booked an appointment, our appliances were delivered directly to them, they went to city hall and got the parking permits... (I have to say that again..) they went to city hall and got our parking permits!! They showed up on time... they got everything in place.. no scratches, no dents.. guys were super friendly... billing was a snap... I seriously couldn't have asked for a better experience!! Titan Moving and Storage, a.k.a Death Wish Piano Movers, has a good reputation for hoisting on cranes and moving large, heavy objects--especially virtually unbreakable objects. I had them move a friend's piano once with no problem. BUT-- DO NOT have them pack your delicate little objects. DO NOT trust them with antiques. About half of the guys on any given crew try to be somewhat responsible but still screw up, and the rest just don't care to begin with. No one is adequately trained and experienced or properly supervised. My great-aunt's dining room table was moved from New York long ago to my parents' house, no problem; and then from there to my old apartment several years ago, no problem; and it showed up at my new apartment in Titan's truck broken into three pieces. I have the receipt that their crew leader wrote that says that. They refuse to return my phone calls or file an insurance claim for me. DON'T BE FOOLED by the owner Greg's pleasant and reassuring manner. THIS IS A CON. I paid these guys thousands of dollars to move my stuff, and it was a nightmare, with all kinds of secret little mishaps and disappearing acts. DO NOT HIRE TITAN/DEATH WISH. They have a mystique but not professionalism. By contrast, United Van Lines/Taylor/Bohren's moved my mother's very fragile antiques and crystal from another state to my place without a single scratch, ding, or dent. All carefully secured and wrapped, each little item carried by two movers. Barely a fingerprint. THAT's professional. read more

We had a 300 pound marble-topped vanity moved into the bathroom of our 1920s house. The Titan crew arrived on time, and they were all extremely respectful, professional, polite, and prepared with all of the necessary equipment, including a boom crane since the vanity had to be hoisted through a 2nd floor window. They used blankets and straps to keep the vanity, our window sill, and our woodwork scratch-free. We were very impressed with their efficiency. They had the entire move completed within an hour. Many thanks to Chuck, Horn, and Brad for a great job! They are terrific! The woman who did the scheduling was also pleasant and made setting up the appointment easy. After finding out that our new refrigerator could not fit up our stairs, I contacted Titan. Rebecca, the manager, was so helpful in organizing a crane in short order and assuring me that they would be able to make it work, even if it meant going over the house. The crew was the nicest, most positive and professional crew of delivery/service men I have ever worked with. They showed up exactly on time and were ready to help in anyway possible. They would have done almost anything to make sure we got the fridge into the house. They were very careful with the appliance and used blankets on the appliance and window of entry to make sure nothing was damaged. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience! read more

We read all of the great reviews on Titan so we thought we'd use them for our move. Now I know our move was going to be expensive because we were moving over 1,000 miles away but this company was terrible. The estimate they gave us was $2000 more than the actual price, ok that was a hit to the budget and we couldn't lose our $1000 deposit so we went with it. Wrote the check to Titan and called it a day. On our way down to our destination they called saying we made the check out to the wrong company! Turns out Titan subcontracted our move without telling us and the actual guys didn't catch it until my husband and I were already over half way to our destination. When the original quote and time was negotiated, we were told that there was going to be a 2-3 day delivery date, 4 days later my hubby and I are still living on beach chairs while all of our stuff is *shrug* somewhere. The actual movers themselves were excellent, but again they were not Titan, and the moving companies on the phone have been nothing but snarky and condescending toward my husband while we tried to fix the check to pay them. The idea of using movers should be exchanging money for less stress, while in the case it was more stress and more money, needless to say next time we move we're just going to rent a truck and do it ourselves. read more

I was in a pinch as my parents were moving and I needed to have their piano moved into our 2nd floor apartment. They were able to store the piano while we figured out where we would put the piano (about a month) and when the time came, the piano was brought in without any issues in perfect condition. One word -- outstanding! We were having a very difficult time finding anyone to move a 420 gallon glass aquarium into the walkout basement of my home. Every mover we contacted suggested Titan. I was very worried that the tank would be damaged given its weight and size. But the crew from Titan was fantastic. Greg and his crew were professional, congenial and knew exactly how to move the tank. They had the experience and tools to get the job done correctly with no damage to the tank or the oak stand it was placed on. The way the crew worked together was like a well choreographed dance. Each person knew what the other was doing at all times. I have no hesitation recommending them for any heavy, difficult moving job. read more

Do NOT use these people to move a fragile private household! They specialize in hoisting indestructible heavy objects ONLY! The movers and packers are the same people, and they have absolutely no skill or experience in household packing. They were utterly incompetent. They threw fragile items unwrapped into a large bin with other mixed items, broke many small things, left many boxes unlabeled that I had to reopen and label before shipping, oddly wrapped a few things that didn't need to be wrapped just to take up billable time, said they were out of bubble wrap when they weren't so they could stop packing, shipped paintings together unwrapped loosely in a slotted bin DESPITE BEING TOLD NOT TO and caused some damage, and shipped an antique table unstrapped and NOT as directed by the owner, and totally broke it into pieces. Despite everything the owner/manager of Titan told me, they 1) insured things only by the POUND, regardless of value, and 2) no matter what they said or did, would NOT file an insurance claim that would make their rates go up. After a year, I'm STILL unboxing things they broke! I also read a report of their dropping a piano last year and providing no compensation. For anything other than highly specifically and independently insured hoisting, DO NOT CALL THEM! The owner/manager/estimator was totally a softsoap con artist. Do not believe him! The movers/packers are a bunch of twenty-something guys, some devoid of experience, totally out of control, who don't remotely give a crap about your stuff. They like to flex muscles and carry things. That's it. If I had the energy and money left after all this, I'd sue their asses. read more
