Oh Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, where do I begin? I was unfortunately one of the movers on your nightmare of a move job.Shall we start with the fact that TITAN/DEATHWISH was the only company in the city who agreed to help you and this was done because Greg felt sorry for you and your situation? The situation being, you are insane and you live in filth.Greg is a truly kind and generous boss and friend. In my 13 years as mover I have never worked for a better company.Every member of our team is an outstanding, intelligent and dedicated professional. We love what we do-helping people! We were briefed before your multiple day job began that we were going to be dealing with a client who would require a little extra patience and t.l.c. than usual. We were also told to expect a VERY cluttered house. What we walked into was something out of a news report on 'hidden health hazard' houses.Actually, before we could even enter the premises the 'fun' began. You kept us waiting outside your front door for 15 minutes, ignoring repeated knocks and telephone calls. As we waited, your neighbors from the houses on both sides came out to warn us about the 'crazy bitch' and to thank us for getting you out of their neighborhood. When you finally let us in you greeted us with mumbled grumblings and complaints about how early we were.We were on time, professionals work that way.Our office had confirmed with you ,twice, regarding when we would arrive.Entering your apartment we were hit with the double whammy of overpowerng stench and the garbage filled clutter that only Golden Circle Wackos like yourself can achieve.Mountains upon mountains of every sort of junk imaginable blocked any sort of footing or room to pack.Ah yes, packing! We were supposed to pack your belongings as well as move them but you prevented us from accessing certain items and areas. The line of demarcation between garbage and memorabilia was known only to you my dear. And let's not forget being forbidden to go upstairs because your roommate was showering. In the four days on the premises not one of the 5 movers working ever saw any other living person enter or exit the house from the only door leading in or out. Yet your roomate would magically leave for work after you had disappeared upstairs to mumble and panic. How about your poor parrot? You kept a fully grown bird in a cage in your basement in an ill lit, feces covered room.A room which also housed your collection of 'rare books' and filing cabinets. We wore bandannas over our faces and earplugs in our ears as we boxed up what seemed to be every peice of paper you've ever written, doodled or drooled on accompanied by the sweet symphony of your bird's continuous terrified shrieking.Good times, Lisa, such good times.I was lucky to have missed the day we packed your bedroom but rest assured it is a day that will live in mover infamy.Do you remember how much fun we had in your crawlspace attic? You remember, the attic with the cardboard floor and three foot clearance and broken lightswitch? We do.On the day of the actual move we were all set to go to your new home when out of nowhere you demanded we stop off at an auto supply warehouse to pick up 24 loading pallets. You wanted them to be laid on the floor of your new storage units in case this climate sealed ,state of the art facillity was to suddenly flood and Salem was washed out to sea.We begrudgingly complied after patiently and politely trying to talk you out of it for multiple reasons that were just tactful ways of not flat out calling you insane. On arriving at the pick up spot I was greeted with blank stares and a roomful of people who had no idea why I was there or who you were. After failing to get ahold of you via multiple calls, I took matters into my own hands and headed on to Salem. As we were 10 minutes away my phone began ringing and there you were on the other end interrogating me on my whereabouts and accusing us of not following your directions out of spite. You also informed me that I was to have quitely went around the back of the auto warehouse to ask for Floyd, a friend of yours who was going to arrange for us to load up your pallets.THEN, I get a call from our office telling me that while you were too busy to pick up your phone when I was calling, you were beseiging our office with ever escalating rants about your precious pallets. My chief of operations told me to turn the truck around at this point, head back to the auto warehouse and contact him from there if it was another failed attempt.Adding more delays, we headed back and I sought out the elusive 'Floyd'."Floyd? We don't have a Floyd here.Do you mean Lloyd?HEY LLOYD! C'MON OUT HERE!'I tell Lloyd I was sent by you and this was supposed to have been all set up in advance. His response? "Lisa B? Holy shit ,man, she's crazy! You're moving her? Is she still at that messed up place in Lower Allston? Oh man, you got my sympathies brother, here." And that's how we got your pallets ,Lisa. end part 1 read more
