For this review, I will hand the reins over to the companionable Trixy. (Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any criminal or charitable acts that may result) - Joey X I have used Road Warrior twice: once, 9 years ago, moving 2 blocks away; and last month, moving not far to W. Concord. The Road Warrior crew was not just swift and courteous, but magnificent to depend upon in every way. Here's just one example. While preparing for my move, I had hastily shoved a hoard of loose buttons and jewelry in unsealed pockets. After the move, I assumed they were simply lost, entirely due to my negligence. Today--3 weeks later, I was delighted, nay surprised, to discover them carefully packed in a clear plastic bag. To think that these burly moving men had stopped to attend to this seemingly small detail...amazing! If you're planning a move or know someone who's moving, consider Road Warrior. You won't regret it. - Trixy read more

As unpleasant as it is moving, Frank and Roadwarrior made it easy. They were all professional and helpful. I also used one of their storage units and it was never difficult to get access. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again! read more

They made my move so easy. Showed up on time and did all the heavy lifting despite a lack of an elevator. They busted their asses to do it quick too. read more

staff was very friendly and helpful when they came to move my items. I opted to store my items with them rather than use a stoarage unit. However, after my items had been stored, I asked if I could come in and retreitsome items in storage. When I saw how my boxes had been stored I was upset; all my boxes marked fragile were placed at the bottom of the unit with heavier boxes on top of them. I then decided to rent a storage unit somewhere else and had them bring my items to the storage place. They assured me that I did not need to stay while they unloaded my items into my unit and they would contact me when they were done. After I returned to the place and paid them, I went up to my unit and my items were placed in it like it was a dumpster. very disappointed! read more

I had a great experience with Roadwarrior Moving . Frank was very responsive and professional and very helpful. The company moved us from a family home into a small apartment. The crew was excellent. Really hardworking , experienced and very helpful. I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend. Their price was good as well. read more

I would absolutely recommend Road Warrior Moving Storage. Frank the owner and his team did an amazing job. We moved from Waltham to newton and it was a very big move. Over the past 13 years I've moved 10 times and this was by far the best experience that I've had with the moving company. Also on top I just had a baby so moving with a two week old is stressful enough but this experience players very easy. They were very organized and professional. We had to move our gym into our new gym in our house and broke down all the equipment and reset it up at the new place. Our realtor was the one who recommended him and I'm so glad that we made that choice to use them. read more

These guys are pretty rude and unhelpful over the phone. I called to see if I could book a move for July and they told me "to get in line" and refused to tell me when they would be able to get back to me. They were not able to tell me if they had availability on the day I was looking for and when I tried to ask another question they told me they "didn't have time to deal with my questions" and hung up on me. I understand they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of moves, but considering that this is their job, they could definitely be a bit more professional about it. read more

I used this company over the weekend and to be honest with you, I have to say hands-down best movers that I've ever had. They were so professional, kind and caring. I tried to even get involved and get my hands dirty they said that was not necessary. All-around great service. The two men who moved me were Josh and Michael. They showed up on time, moved everything, even wrapped some of my furniture that I didn't think needed wrapping. Just goes to show you that they are extremely careful with your belongings. I don't write a lot of review on Yelp, but I made an exception because I want people to know how great this company was to me. I highly recommend using them. Road Warriors- Thank you for everything! read more

The movers that were assigned to our case were so professional and conscientious. They diligently took the time to individually wrap each item and thoughtfully placed each item where they belonged. They spent great care ensuring we were happy with the job before they just billed us and left. We highly recommend this team of great movers. in addition they were very reasonably priced. read more

I decided to go with Road Warrior after I saw first hand how amazing they were with moving a friend out of her condo and into a house. And when it came time for my move, I did not think twice. The owner Frank was amazing to deal with and communicated with me throughout the entire process. My move was not straight forward so I was grateful for the ease and professionalism of this company. I moved out of a condo and had all of my items stored for almost two weeks before moving into my new house. In the middle of all of this, I was traveling outside the country for work. Road Warrior made this crazy move painless during my hectic schedule. Josh and the guys were amazing during both moves days and I am eternally thankful for their help. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! read more

I am downsizing and moving items to multiple locations and the gentlemen were beyond fabulous. I highly recommend if your moving large or small scale these guys have you covered and they are efficient as could be. With going to three locations Bo double checked address before heading to the next stop every time. They communicated what they were doing and what they needed to do their job effectively and above and beyond professional. read more

Another great move by the guys at Road Warrior! They have become the go-to guys for our group of friends. They are fast, professional, affordable, and most of all trustworthy! We have used them for both local and out of state moves and couldn't be happier with their work. read more

We had used them in the past and they were great, but we recently used them and the service has become terrible. Below will explain the breakdown for such a low rating. DAMAGE: They damaged my home during the move. They cut into my drywall and damaged my window frames, ceiling, and stairs. That will require a repaint and the damage can not be undone. QUOTE: I was quoted for $330, it ended up being $500. I could have had another moving company do it for $140 but I thought I would give it to Road Warrior since we used them in the past. After the move was done however they bumped up the price, I discussed it with Frank and was just told that is the quote we gave you, which it was not. Also, it was not explained that while the truck is in transit you are paying $120 per hour for two guys and paying for the transit of the truck also which is a surcharge. STAFF: Previously we had great guys, this time we had a junior mover, and a guy that was just off the boat. They were way too heavy handed and as a result they damaged both the moving items and the house. Don't get me wrong a nice guy, but no experience and between a junior directing someone who never moved stuff before it was a recipe for disaster. I blame that on the management, not the movers. I asked Frank about this and he said 'the last move you had two senior foremen this time you had a junior and a new guy, thats just the way it is, there is no guarantee as to what you will get'. I certainly was not given the guarantee of your paying $120 an hour for two people that may have no idea of what they are doing in your house and when your left with the damage tough luck. I ended up having to help them as I felt like they had little experience, which I later found out from Frank was right. OVERALL: I would not use them again. I have referred several people to this company and they've just gone downhill since. I was duped on the quote, and duped on the impression I had using them that I would be getting experienced movers, there is no guarantee, and when things go wrong you are on your own the same way as if you went with a cheaper crew at a third of the price. I would not use them again, and would not recommend to friends. Its bad business etiquette to treat good customers like this. read more

We used this company back in 2012 from a 1-bedroom apartment to our 2-bedroom one. I remembered we had a great experience, so when looking to move in our first home, they were the ones we called. We were very nervous of the move because being in Boston, our new home is on the older side so getting our things in there was going to be tricky...this time around we had more stuff and a baby on the way, so I could do less things to really prepare us. The crew we got, Jeff & 2 other guys, was amazing! They worked diligently to move us out from our old apartment, being very personable and with a great attitude. When we got to the new house, they did everything wonderfully, checked in with us to make sure they placed items where we wanted them and were always in great spirits! They even cared for very well for a very slim 65-inch TV which my husband was nervous about - no scratches, nothing! For certain, I would recommend Frank and his team to take care of your things! We are glad and relieved that such a stressful and overwhelming moment was made so easy and a good experience because of them. read more

Josh and the lads on his crew were fantastic! They communicated with me on the move from start to finish and were extremely professional! They were very careful with my belongings showing great skill and knowledge on how to move some large but delicate items! A great group of guys and a brilliant team, I can't recommend them highly enough! 5 stars! read more

Josh and his crew were outstanding. They worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect with both the move out and back in to our new home. We were able to store all our items in pods (rented through this company) while we waited 1.5 months to move into our new home. We had a treadmill that was difficult to get into our basement. The crew worked so hard to figure out how to get apart, reassemble and place exactly where it needed to be. Thank you! read more

These guys are rightdown the road from me so there is some personal bias from a convenience standpoint. Nevertheless when they came to get some furniture today they were super speedy and handled my junk...I mean furniture...great care. A little pricey for such a fast and short move, though. read more

Road warriors moved us into a new home last week. We were in Florida and my two daughters met the movers and they worked together. The men were so very helpful, courteous, and careful with our property that my daughters. Kurd then say enough good things about them! They willingly rearranged some pieces after my girls called us to double check on where to put tables etc. we recommend them highly. read more

Moving is always a pain. I moved from Cambridge to Medford. The guys who moved me worked hard the entire time. They were polite and on time. They tried really hard to get a bulky item up the stairs to my new place, and it just wasn't going to happen, but not for lack of trying. They made moving way less of a pain than it could be. read more

I have moved 3 times in the past ten years while doing my specialty training. The previous two times we moved with National moving companies, the experience was a horror. I was reluctant to try a mover until I received a recommendation from a Friend to try Road Warrior. I called them and boy was my moving experience different. The Owner was great to speak with. He came to my home and gave me an honest and reasonable estimate for what my move would be. The gentlemen that did the move came and were courteous, gentle and fast. I had a few minor requests while moving and they took care of those and more. When all was said and done the cost was actually less than the original estimate. Take it from someone who has had one bad and one horrible moving experience, ROAD WARRIOR IS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH. If you call them you will be sure to avoid the mine field that is the moving industry. read more

Excellence is the standard with the company owner Frank as well as his movers. The various fake negative postings here by mostly one same Groupon user are totally out of character with our experience with the people at Road Warrior. These Groupon people do not seem to tell the whole story, so leave out facts, the ones that make THEM look bad. I was referred to Road Warrior by the colleague of my wife, who had just moved with them and was very happy with their performance. When you call there are no long waits and repeat calls to talk with the owner, who makes the quotes, like with bigger companies, where you are just a number. We got a great guaranteed price for a 2800 sqft antique home plus home business move from Massachusetts to New Hampshire (spread over two days, with each 1 1/2 truck) and they did not charge a dime extra. Payment was easy by credit card. A reasonable deposit is required. The final payment is done when all is done to one's satisfaction. Quotes from Gentle Giant and others amounted to double that price, which is a ripoff since those companies really do not have the costs they pretend to have, just high margins or overpaid management and sales people! The movers of Road Warrior came right on time to load and finished unloading on schedule. These are NOT 'fly by nite students' like with other companies, but serious and muscular pros. They are a cheery well organized bunch with brains who solved the little challenges of our move and the enormous weight to move easily. I would recommend them to all serious moving families and would use them again. Note: Any 'Groupon' reviewer is really not a good reference. Like the Restaurant week coupon users, they are always cheap skates who do not pay full price, but expect full price product and service, like a Volkswagen buyer expecting a Mercedes quality and service, for free. That does not work of course. I advise buyers to ignore them and vendors not to sign up with these programs. They are of no marketing benefit and cause more harm than value. One attracts mainly the rotten tomatoes in one's 'customer basket'. read more

I don't know how a BIG move from Lexington to Littleton could have gone any better! The 3 guys arrived on time, worked tirelessly, took extra care with the pieces I pointed out as antiques (but treated everything carefully), and even moved pieces from one room to another at the end of a long day that I had tagged the location of incorrectly. The office staff, the guys who did the move were all friendly and professional! I'd recommend Road Warrior to friends and family. THANK YOU for taking what could have been a stressful day and making it a great first day in my new home! read more

These guys were great in every way. The initial quote was great, and they were super on move day. We had quite a bit of stuff packed up, but they carefully wrapped the furniture, and were unbelievably conscientious and friendly. They worked like crazy on one of the hottest days to get everything moved safely and quickly. Other than getting everything to our new house in perfect condition, you never would have known they were there -- they cleaned up everything behind them. I can't recommend these guys enough -- working with them proved to be one of the least stressful parts of moving! read more

Let's just say these guys were NOT afraid to get creative with our move. The box springs won't fit? Watch it bend more than you thought possible. Couch not going up those stairs? Ever hear the word "hoist?" The incredibly hard working guys also packed everything carefully and had a generally good attitude for what promised to be a challenging and exhausting day. Even though it cost more than we thought, they did a lot more than was expected. I would absolutely go back to them for my next local move (who else is going to be able to get my couch out again?). read more

Fabulous movers. Polite, efficient and thorough. For the move itself I'd give them five stars gladly. For the curt & rude phone demeanor I experienced twice, I drop them down a star. That being said, we're recommending these guys to everyone. They were excellent! read more

Wow, we couldn't have been happier. These guys were on time, courteous, and extremely professional. We called about 4 other companies before my husband stumbled upon Road Warrior. RW quoted us the best price, so they were a bit of a no-brainer, but they offer much more than a great price. I've moved several times around Boston, and these guys were far superior to any other experience I've had. They didn't break or crush anything and worked a lot of magic to get my husband's HUGE and heavy dresser up a tight staircase without damaging the paint and walls. They were willing to move pieces around, too, to make sure we were happy with everything. They even humored me by helping me get a dust ruffle under our very heavy mattress. These guys moved our furniture like it belonged to their mothers, and they had great attitudes while doing so. Seriously, Jeff and Josh were terrific; you just can't ask for better service. Highly recommended. read more

Road Warriors is GREAT....I have used them for two moves in the course of 4 years (not that I'm bragging because moving is moving and NOT fun) but Road Warrior made it uneventful. They are super careful and wrap all furniture in padded blankets. The are cautious leaving the old premises and entering the new, holding their hads over furniture legs so not as to mar ceilings, etc. The team is super friendly and Frank (owner/manager) is very accommodating. I recommend them highly. read more

We used Road Warriors to move our 4 bedroom town house in Allston to a 2nd/3rd floor 3-bedroom apartment in Arlington. We had three guys and they finished in less than 6 hours, pretty amazing (and under the quote). We had Mayflower movers on our trip out from Michigan and they had multiple problems with box springs and couches. These guys were all competent and each had their own problem solving skill set. There was hoisting, crib and daybed assembling, boxes reorganized into the basement and attic, you name it and they did it efficiently without complaints. I would recommend these guys over anyone, and we've moved a lot. read more

Another company (let's just say they are a benign large person) quoted us a price of over $2,000. Road Warrior quoted us just over a thousand. They came, couldn't have been a group of nicer guys, and moved our entire two bedroom apartment with almost 2,000 books in three and a half hours, coming in $300 LESS than quoted. Would absolutely do business with again. read more

still love these peeps! Sadly I've done my last of last moves with Road Warriors ( I moved out of state) and hope to find a company here one day that's maybe even half as good. Every time I called they remembered me( I've moved alot!!!!) and the last time I called I was arranging a move for someone else. They treated those people great and are just always awesome to deal with. they never complained about the way I packed a box ( if it was too heavy or off balance) they just picked it up took it to the truck and went on with their lives. Plus they are just the best group of guys our there! read more

I am a BU student on a budget and desperately needed someone to move me out August 31st and move in on September 1, and being caught up in summer school of course I waited until almost the last minute. After frantically calling other companies and getting outrageous estimates, I turned to family friends who had moved and found out about Road Warrior. Word of mouth beats the phone book!Their receptionist and owner were both amazingly friendly and quick (took down my info and gave me an estimate within 10 minuets). Turns out they also have affordable storage so I can keep my stuff there between moves! Looking forward to a great move next week :) read more

Best movers on earth! This is the 3rd time I used them. Everyone from the office to the movers are patient, careful and fast! They packed my entire house and moved everything. I highly recommend them to anyone. They even came in below the estimated price. read more

Great job today by Jeff and Mike! They were very fast and moved furniture through some tight spots like it was nothing. Would highly recommend these guys! Great price too! read more

Frank was awesome to work with. Their estimate was on par with two others, but Frank arrived on time and came with a recommendation. Actual moving cost was less than expected. Storage cost was less than expected. We had them move us out of a home into an apartment and back out of the apartment into a new house. We provided some coffee and donuts for the gang and they were extremely helpful. Most of my stuff that came out of storage was fine with the exception of a small scratch on a bookshelf. I didn't bother reporting it but if you were stingy I suppose I could have. Would recommend for sure, and would use again. read more

We bought a groupon and had a great experience with Road Warrior. $99 for $300 worth of moving can't be beat! My husband and I moved from a one-bedroom apartment in Somerville to a decent-sized house in the 'burbs about a week ago. Having recently gotten married, we had a lot of stuff crammed into our 1BR, and the move would involve a 30-40 min. trip (w/o traffic...traffic would add time) along 93, so we were worried that the quote would be lower than the actual costs. However, the total cost ended up being pretty close to the quote, possibly lower?? We were extremely pleased with the value. Two guys arrived right on time and got to work. They seemed to pack their truck quite efficiently. One guy was incredibly big and tall and seemed more experienced, but the other was certainly very strong and capable, and quite friendly. They were professional and quick. They seemed to take their time putting padding and tape on furniture, but that's probably for the best, because nothing was damaged. I think we had one broken glass as our only moving casualty, and that was due to our poor packing! After a bit of traffic, unloading was even quicker and smoother, and they were willing to help us move everything to the right spot. We felt bad making them go up the stairs on a 90+ degree day, but they seemed more than happy to! Total, our move took four hours, including drive time (but not including their drive time to and from Arlington), for 2 movers. And with the groupon, the total was around $400, which we were delighted with. Even $600 (the price w/o a groupon) would have been totally reasonable. The only very minor complaint is that it was hard to get confirmation of our date/time from them beforehand. They should have a better email/phone system or something, and it would have put my husband's nerves at ease if they had communicated a bit better. He was worried they wouldn't show or something. But since everything went so smoothly the day of, that was really not a big deal. We'd definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. read more

GREAT experience with a move from Boston to Somerville. Friendly movers, they didn't whine when the unload spot was a bit far from the building, and they wrapped everything carefully. They were also very fast and efficient. A cheap, unimportant item broke and they documented and discounted it automatically. Highly recommended! read more

Road Warrior just moved me from one apartment to another. They did it painlessly, efficiently, and congenially. They were bright and skilled people who helped me decide what should go where, and were very patient. And they came in below estimate, and in a short time despite one of the elevators being out of order! Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

We moved from an apartment in Arlington to a house in Medford in August and called Road Warrior because they were close by. If we move again, we'll go back to Road Warrior because they were fantastic. They sent three guys, and the owner even dropped in mid-move to check in on things. They were efficient, careful, and friendly and got the move done in under 3 hours. I couldn't have asked for a better moving experience. read more

These guys are great! We recently moved and we were amazed with their swiftness and efficiency. They rocked out almost our entire 2 and 1/2 bedroom apartment to and fro in under three hours. They were cheerful and respectful and pretty nice to boot. My only complaint would be that they were almost too efficient...they moved so quickly that they moved anything that wasn't nailed down and delivered it so fast that we had trouble directing them as to where everything went, and we ending up with some kitchen boxes in the bedroom, etc. But this was more our fault for being so disorganized. I would definitely use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

With mother in hospital, at the recommendation of our broker, we used Road Warriors to move her large apartment of belongings from Wellesley to an independent home for elderly that had several strict rules about hours, elevators, etc.. After a personal, friendly visit from the owner, Frank, we received the estimate for the move. We discussed reputation and services of companies, in general. Frank's comment was 'the move is as good as the guys the company hires to move you.' The guys who moved us were great....quiet, clean, calm and professional. The head mover had to deal with a couple of issues and road blocks (including taking the Grandfather clock down 4 flights of stairs!). He remained calm and dealt with them with a smile and good common sense. At one point, when moving things in to the new place, we found out the cut off time was 4 PM and not 5 as I thought. Well, the guys stepped things up, re-organized and got it done by 4. The move went smoothly and quickly with no breakage or damages. They perfectly packed the large and fragile items I left for them, including many fragile pieces of art, sculpture, lamps and leather cabinets. Having made many stressful nervous moves in my life, at one point during the Road Warriors move I sat down and put up my feet and with a smile I commented, "I have done what I can and now am turning things over to a higher power....ROAD WARRIORS!!!" Road Warriors was worth every penny and I WILL use them again and highly recommend them to everyone. read more
