staff was very friendly and helpful when they came to move my items. I opted to store my items with them rather than use a stoarage unit. However, after my items had been stored, I asked if I could come in and retreitsome items in storage. When I saw how my boxes had been stored I was upset; all my boxes marked fragile were placed at the bottom of the unit with heavier boxes on top of them. I then decided to rent a storage unit somewhere else and had them bring my items to the storage place. They assured me that I did not need to stay while they unloaded my items into my unit and they would contact me when they were done. After I returned to the place and paid them, I went up to my unit and my items were placed in it like it was a dumpster. very disappointed! read more

I would absolutely recommend Road Warrior Moving Storage. Frank the owner and his team did an amazing job. We moved from Waltham to newton and it was a very big move. Over the past 13 years I've moved 10 times and this was by far the best experience that I've had with the moving company. Also on top I just had a baby so moving with a two week old is stressful enough but this experience players very easy. They were very organized and professional. We had to move our gym into our new gym in our house and broke down all the equipment and reset it up at the new place. These guys are pretty rude and unhelpful over the phone. I called to see if I could book a move for July and they told me "to get in line" and refused to tell me when they would be able to get back to me. They were not able to tell me if they had availability on the day I was looking for and when I tried to ask another question they told me they "didn't have time to deal with my questions" and hung up on me. I understand they seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of moves, but considering that this is their job, they could definitely be a bit more professional about it. read more

I used this company over the weekend and to be honest with you, I have to say hands-down best movers that I've ever had. They were so professional, kind and caring. I tried to even get involved and get my hands dirty they said that was not necessary. All-around great service. The two men who moved me were Josh and Michael. We used this company back in 2012 from a 1-bedroom apartment to our 2-bedroom one. I remembered we had a great experience, so when looking to move in our first home, they were the ones we called. We were very nervous of the move because being in Boston, our new home is on the older side so getting our things in there was going to be tricky...this time around we had more stuff and a baby on the way, so I could do less things to really prepare us. The crew we got, Jeff & 2 other guys, was amazing! They worked diligently to move us out from our old apartment, being very personable and with a great attitude. When we got to the new house, they did everything wonderfully, checked in with us to make sure they placed items where we wanted them and were always in great spirits! They even cared for very well for a very slim 65-inch TV which my husband was nervous about - no scratches, nothing! For certain, I would recommend Frank and his team to take care of your things! Moving is always a pain. I moved from Cambridge to Medford. The guys who moved me worked hard the entire time. They were polite and on time. They tried really hard to get a bulky item up the stairs to my new place, and it just wasn't going to happen, but not for lack of trying. I have moved 3 times in the past ten years while doing my specialty training. The previous two times we moved with National moving companies, the experience was a horror. I was reluctant to try a mover until I received a recommendation from a Friend to try Road Warrior. I called them and boy was my moving experience different. The Owner was great to speak with. He came to my home and gave me an honest and reasonable estimate for what my move would be. The gentlemen that did the move came and were courteous, gentle and fast. I had a few minor requests while moving and they took care of those and more. When all was said and done the cost was actually less than the original estimate. Take it from someone who has had one bad and one horrible moving experience, ROAD WARRIOR IS A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH. Excellence is the standard with the company owner Frank as well as his movers. The various fake negative postings here by mostly one same Groupon user are totally out of character with our experience with the people at Road Warrior. These Groupon people do not seem to tell the whole story, so leave out facts, the ones that make THEM look bad. I was referred to Road Warrior by the colleague of my wife, who had just moved with them and was very happy with their performance. When you call there are no long waits and repeat calls to talk with the owner, who makes the quotes, like with bigger companies, where you are just a number. We got a great guaranteed price for a 2800 sqft antique home plus home business move from Massachusetts to New Hampshire (spread over two days, with each 1 1/2 truck) and they did not charge a dime extra. Payment was easy by credit card. A reasonable deposit is required. The final payment is done when all is done to one's satisfaction. Quotes from Gentle Giant and others amounted to double that price, which is a ripoff since those companies really do not have the costs they pretend to have, just high margins or overpaid management and sales people! The movers of Road Warrior came right on time to load and finished unloading on schedule. These are NOT 'fly by nite students' like with other companies, but serious and muscular pros. They are a cheery well organized bunch with brains who solved the little challenges of our move and the enormous weight to move easily. I would recommend them to all serious moving families and would use them again. Note: Any 'Groupon' reviewer is really not a good reference. Like the Restaurant week coupon users, they are always cheap skates who do not pay full price, but expect full price product and service, like a Volkswagen buyer expecting a Mercedes quality and service, for free. That does not work of course. I advise buyers to ignore them and vendors not to sign up with these programs. They are of no marketing benefit and cause more harm than value. One attracts mainly the rotten tomatoes in one's 'customer basket'. read more

The 3 guys arrived on time, worked tirelessly, took extra care with the pieces I pointed out as antiques (but treated everything carefully), and even moved pieces from one room to another at the end of a long day that I had tagged the location of incorrectly. These guys were great in every way. The initial quote was great, and they were super on move day. We had quite a bit of stuff packed up, but they carefully wrapped the furniture, and were unbelievably conscientious and friendly. They worked like crazy on one of the hottest days to get everything moved safely and quickly. Other than getting everything to our new house in perfect condition, you never would have known they were there -- they cleaned up everything behind them. Wow, we couldn't have been happier. These guys were on time, courteous, and extremely professional. We called about 4 other companies before my husband stumbled upon Road Warrior. RW quoted us the best price, so they were a bit of a no-brainer, but they offer much more than a great price. I've moved several times around Boston, and these guys were far superior to any other experience I've had. They didn't break or crush anything and worked a lot of magic to get my husband's HUGE and heavy dresser up a tight staircase without damaging the paint and walls. They were willing to move pieces around, too, to make sure we were happy with everything. They even humored me by helping me get a dust ruffle under our very heavy mattress. Road Warriors is GREAT....I have used them for two moves in the course of 4 years (not that I'm bragging because moving is moving and NOT fun) but Road Warrior made it uneventful. They are super careful and wrap all furniture in padded blankets. The are cautious leaving the old premises and entering the new, holding their hads over furniture legs so not as to mar ceilings, etc. The team is super friendly and Frank (owner/manager) is very accommodating. We used Road Warriors to move our 4 bedroom town house in Allston to a 2nd/3rd floor 3-bedroom apartment in Arlington. We had three guys and they finished in less than 6 hours, pretty amazing (and under the quote). We had Mayflower movers on our trip out from Michigan and they had multiple problems with box springs and couches. These guys were all competent and each had their own problem solving skill set. There was hoisting, crib and daybed assembling, boxes reorganized into the basement and attic, you name it and they did it efficiently without complaints. I would recommend these guys over anyone, and we've moved a lot. read more

They came, couldn't have been a group of nicer guys, and moved our entire two bedroom apartment with almost 2,000 books in three and a half hours, coming in $300 LESS than quoted. Frank was awesome to work with. Their estimate was on par with two others, but Frank arrived on time and came with a recommendation. Actual moving cost was less than expected. Storage cost was less than expected. We had them move us out of a home into an apartment and back out of the apartment into a new house. We provided some coffee and donuts for the gang and they were extremely helpful. Most of my stuff that came out of storage was fine with the exception of a small scratch on a bookshelf. We bought a groupon and had a great experience with Road Warrior. $99 for $300 worth of moving can't be beat! My husband and I moved from a one-bedroom apartment in Somerville to a decent-sized house in the 'burbs about a week ago. Having recently gotten married, we had a lot of stuff crammed into our 1BR, and the move would involve a 30-40 min. trip (w/o traffic...traffic would add time) along 93, so we were worried that the quote would be lower than the actual costs. However, the total cost ended up being pretty close to the quote, possibly lower?? We were extremely pleased with the value. Two guys arrived right on time and got to work. They seemed to pack their truck quite efficiently. One guy was incredibly big and tall and seemed more experienced, but the other was certainly very strong and capable, and quite friendly. They were professional and quick. They seemed to take their time putting padding and tape on furniture, but that's probably for the best, because nothing was damaged. I think we had one broken glass as our only moving casualty, and that was due to our poor packing! After a bit of traffic, unloading was even quicker and smoother, and they were willing to help us move everything to the right spot. We felt bad making them go up the stairs on a 90+ degree day, but they seemed more than happy to! Total, our move took four hours, including drive time (but not including their drive time to and from Arlington), for 2 movers. And with the groupon, the total was around $400, which we were delighted with. Even $600 (the price w/o a groupon) would have been totally reasonable. The only very minor complaint is that it was hard to get confirmation of our date/time from them beforehand. They should have a better email/phone system or something, and it would have put my husband's nerves at ease if they had communicated a bit better. He was worried they wouldn't show or something. But since everything went so smoothly the day of, that was really not a big deal. We'd definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. read more

These guys are great! We recently moved and we were amazed with their swiftness and efficiency. They rocked out almost our entire 2 and 1/2 bedroom apartment to and fro in under three hours. They were cheerful and respectful and pretty nice to boot. My only complaint would be that they were almost too efficient...they moved so quickly that they moved anything that wasn't nailed down and delivered it so fast that we had trouble directing them as to where everything went, and we ending up with some kitchen boxes in the bedroom, etc. But this was more our fault for being so disorganized. With mother in hospital, at the recommendation of our broker, we used Road Warriors to move her large apartment of belongings from Wellesley to an independent home for elderly that had several strict rules about hours, elevators, etc.. After a personal, friendly visit from the owner, Frank, we received the estimate for the move. We discussed reputation and services of companies, in general. Frank's comment was 'the move is as good as the guys the company hires to move you.' The guys who moved us were great....quiet, clean, calm and professional. The head mover had to deal with a couple of issues and road blocks (including taking the Grandfather clock down 4 flights of stairs!). He remained calm and dealt with them with a smile and good common sense. At one point, when moving things in to the new place, we found out the cut off time was 4 PM and not 5 as I thought. Well, the guys stepped things up, re-organized and got it done by 4. The move went smoothly and quickly with no breakage or damages. They perfectly packed the large and fragile items I left for them, including many fragile pieces of art, sculpture, lamps and leather cabinets. Having made many stressful nervous moves in my life, at one point during the Road Warriors move I sat down and put up my feet and with a smile I commented, "I have done what I can and now am turning things over to a higher power....ROAD WARRIORS!!!" A friend recommended Road Warrior Moving and Storage for a Cambridge to Brighton move and we could not have been happier with the service and effort that these gentleman provided. Three movers arrived during the timeframe promised, quickly surveyed the boxes and furniture to be moved and got to work. The team took the time to pad and shrink wrap each piece of furniture and ensure that everything was protected before moving pieces to the truck. I had several large pieces of furniture that are heavy and awkward and these guys had no problems carrying it all down the stairs. We used overnight storage with Road Warrior and they delivered everything, again in the timeframe quoted, first thing the next morning. They unloaded the truck efficiently and were finished well before the time they had alloted for the move. Each labelled box was delivered to the appropriate room in the new apartment and they took the time to ask where we would like pieces of miscelanious furniture. Upon completing the job, the team leader, Josh, took the time to explain each piece of the invoice before our sign-off and payment. We were left feeling as though the team took the same care with our belongings that they would when moving their own. Not a single piece of furniture or other item was damaged, marked or scuffed. A move is always stressful, but Road Warrior Moving and Storage made our day as smooth as possible. We will certainly use this company for any future moves! read more
