two cocktails on a wooden table
    Rhonda F.

On my last day visiting my friend before returning to Chicago, she suggested we go for a nice lunch. I was certainly down for that! We decided on the Four Seasons in Palm Beach. Seaway is the quaint and charming outdoor cafe there. The property itself seems to offer a bit of vintage charm, reminiscent of a lovely time gone by. We walked through the lobby out onto the pool area that was pristine. All the hotel staff I encountered along the way were wonderful. Just past the pool, in a beautifully shaded area was Seaway. Many tables with umbrellas sat with a peek a boo view of the ocean. There was a grassy area nearby and a vast array of foliage that created a lovely backdrop for our ladies lunch. We met a kind gentleman along the way. He offered to walk us out to the restaurant. Then, we were lucky enough to have have him as our server. Juan was the epitome of class and customer service. He was personable yet professional. He made us feel like we were the only people there. Now that's real talent. The lunch menu is simple yet there were enough choices to keep us all happy. I enjoyed a bowl, which felt like a salad with grilled shrimp added. It was beautiful and tasted divine. My Lychee Gin Fizz was the perfect lunchtime cocktail to pair with my salad. My friends loved their lunch and cocktails too. They tried different versions of bowls and I must say the salmon looked incredible. One friend had a mimosa and the other tried a lychee martini. Perfection all around. We were very happy girls! Thanks Juan!!

Cheap frozen fries and a disappointing burger.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for years and there were times I would go once or twice a month. The restaurant was closed for renovations then re-opened only to close again for a Covid related hotel buy-out and this was my first time returning. But its surprising how much its changed for the worse and the decline is seismic. The menu is limited and includes hotel basics but The Four Seasons always elevated these selections and made the mundane interesting but that is no more. A friend wanted to order a mojito with fresh fruit (there were no fresh fruit mojito's listed in the cocktail menu) and in most places we go to that is not a problem. Take the fruit and incorporate it into the mojito, but our waiter told us they could only use juice or a puree. Whoa! There was no fresh fruit at the bar - a Four Seasons bar no less. I ordered my usual burger and at $27 its high priced but I'm paying not only for the view but for a good burger. I always get the sweet potato fries but now they are using frozen fries and an order of these frozen and inferior fries goes for twelve bucks. The Seaway's signature charuschi bowl has also gone up in price to $35 but has gone down in quality. All the food was so bad that we opted to cut our loses and head to a restaurant on Royal Poinciana Way where we resumed lunch and enjoyed our food. I expect more from The Four Seasons and I hope they get their act together. As an aside, it's also more than time for a complete hotel overhaul as the hotel's east facing facade looks like a 1970's Holiday Inn.

Great location right on the water! Poke bowl had a little too much sauce on it but otherwise it was good!

Seaway is exclusive to Four Seasons Palm Beach guests. The perfect outdoor lunch spot, with views of the Atlantic ocean! Choose from cozy table seating with a canopy of umbrella shade or sit at the bar and catch a game. Alternatively, you can order food to be delivered right to your pool or beach side chair. The menu is largely seafood-driven. My favorites are the smoked swordfish dip, tuna & salmon chirashi bowl and lobster roll. Everything looks and tastes fresh. They also make a pretty good Bloody Mary. Or choose to drink their Piña Coladas out of a carved coconut shell! The friendly staff and delicious food is definitely what keeps me coming back.

Oceano, why oh why did I wait so long!?…read more I have been wanting to try Oceano since it was located in its former Lantana location. So when friends asked if I were interested in joining them for an art exhibit, followed by dinner at Oceano, I could not say YES fast enough. I am thrilled to say the wait was worth it. All the chips fell into place when after a small wait we were seated outside (what luck), found our waiter was from Croton-on-the-Hudson (had to wait a year before he was able to land a job at Oceano), and our food was paced perfectly. Started with the Grilled Cucumber Salad that included sumac-labneh, medjool date, berbere spice pickle, pistachio, and the Sugar snap Pea Salad of rhubarb, pecorino, stracciatella, mint, lemon, marcona almond. Next up, Pizza! Had to of course start with the Straight Shooter Pizza which was a simple pie of tomato, mozz, basil, pecorino, good olive oil. Pizza #2 was the Zuchinni Pizza, a white pie of hazelnut, lemon, asiago, mozz, parm, stacciatella. To round out the meal we had the Gnocci Sardi. This was an utterly delicious bowl of pasta that included duck confit, morels, peas, parm, creme fraiche, fines herbs, wild ramps. Super meal with smiles all around. There are two restaurants I feel are super deserving of a Michelin Star in my area, and Oceano is definitely one of them! Not super close to me, but I see a few summer nights at the bar with a salad, pizza, and glass of wine in my future.

The many times that I've been here, the food and drink have always hit just right and the service is quick - even when the place is packed. The berry Greek yogurt crepes are tangy, sweet, crunchy, and all together, a great combination of flavors and textures. There are so many berries - enough for each bite. The granola is the perfect juxtaposition to the soft, thin crepes that are filled with a tangy yogurt. The portion size is more than enough for one person, possibly even two. Unless I'm driving, I always start off my meal with one of their cocktails. My two favorites are their piña colada and bloody Mary. They're both tall, strong, and flavorful - perfect while watching to waves crash into the shore. I would also recommend their spanakopita when it's on their specials. Their Greek omelet is delicious too. This is a great place to bring out of town guests, and the great part about this place besides its food and drink is that you can take a leisurely stroll on the beach after breakfast or brunch and make the day extra special!

The fish tacos were just alright--nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. The lobster roll had good flavor but was served cold, which was a bit disappointing since I was expecting it warm. Surprisingly, the french fries were the standout: crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly the best part of the meal. Service was pretty slow. It wasn't terribly crowded, but we waited quite a while to place our order and even longer to get our food. For the price, I expected a bit more. Not a bad spot if you're already on the beach and don't mind waiting a bit. But for the cost, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

The menu is not large for American classics but they do have a sushi bar and you can order off that menu as well. We brought our infant and they were super accommodating for him and brought out a high chair that looked as if it had never been used. We got a watermelon salad, half chicken and burger (only on the lunch menu but they will make it at dinner if you ask). The salad was more than enough for 2 people to split with plenty of watermelon, avocado and goat cheese. The half chicken was well seasoned and not over cooked. Veggies and puree were tasty but definitely had more butter than I would have used at home. Burger was done appropriately and my husband liked that he could get mashed potatoes with it instead of fries. After dinner they let us keep our stuff at the table while my husband took a swim in the ocean. Just a great atmosphere and location. You definitely can't find another place that relaxing and quiet on the ocean on Palm beach.

I talk about the "curb-to-table" experience frequently. In my former role as a Delta Air Line Captain, I recognized the curb-to-plane challenges our customers encountered. Chef Conley has created a friendly and welcoming experience from curb-to-table. It starts with the complimentary valet. Finally. Finally. I learned about our regular valet: MANNY! Manny, thank you for the kindness and safe service you have given us. You are usually the first person who takes care of the Buccan Family. You create the smile before we walk in the doors of Buccan or Imoto. Thank you. Solang' (my spelling is probably wrong and I apologize): You are such a beautiful soul. Thank you for your kind words to Laura as we left. Kindness makes a difference. While kindness is free, sincerity is priceless. Wow, I haven't even chatted about the food. We tried something new this time. After our small plates, we tried the pork chop. The mild onion and sweet rhubarb---simply stunning. Even shared, we boxed some for home. I don't care if you are watching what you eat. Close your eyes! The chocolate cookies (warmed) are a must. Period. Selfishly, I hope Chef Clay never gets a tv show. A book deal is allowed. We want this local treasure and his team to remain anchored here. Clay and his team are own foodie treasure in our back yard. But wait, there's more: Honored to watch Chef Clay modestly expand the Miami environs. He will be opening his Buccan-Imoto-Buccan Sandwich Shop experience in Coral Gables sometime in June/July. OMG, we cannot wait for this to open. Though retired from the airlines (I miss my MIA overnights), we will make the trip to celebrate these new venues. However, we will do it very quietly. We do not wish to be labeled as stalkers. Probably one of my longest reviews. I love seeing hard working people succeed. What this team does for the community is simply breathtaking. This is a true success story. Thank you Buccan-Imoto-Grato-Sandwich Shop-Stokes Barn Team!!!!
