The bar was busy but found seats and met with the bartender who alerted me to the Happy Hour menu, which I appreciated. Ordered a meat & cheese charcuterie board, roasted peppers and drinks. The brie cheese was so soft it melted in my mouth and the grilled Shishito peppers were excellent. Loved the food, drinks and ambiance. Everything was going so well until the bill arrived - glad I actually review my bills. The bartender that informed me of the Happy Hour did not provide those $50 savings to the bill and had to explain the issue to another bartender. Took him a few minutes to revise the bill but it was fixed. If not for the hefty error on the bill, this would have easily been five stars. read more

Overpriced French cafe, didn't live up to my expectations of the food. The ambiance was nice, clean and "Palm Beach" vibes (definitely dress up a bit to dine here), and bright. Our waitress was not the friendliest at first (didn't make eye contact for the first half hour), but finally warmed up to us and made the experience fun. For the weekend brunch I ordered the basket of scones (with Devonshire cream), and the steak and eggs. The scones were warm and paired nicely with the cream- absolutely delicious. The hanger steak for the main meal was cooked to medium rare, and was tender and juicy. The eggs were overcooked (basic skill that should be mastered if you're charging $52 for them), and both the eggs and potatoes were under seasoned. Did not like the onions on top of steak. Dish just did not wow me. Mixed drinks were all presented beautifully, but lacked any alcohol. Just not worth the price (very expensive), I would not return. read more

Cafe Boulud was a unique experience. This French gem was hidden in what looks like the middle of some upscale houses in a sweet little oasis that was perfect on a day like today to sit outdoors in Florida with a temperature of 75 degrees. We ordered the scones and charcuterie to start. The scones were PHENOMENAL!!!! The butter it came with was shaped into ice cream. The taste was so buttery, fluffy and warm as if it was straight out of the oven. There was a sweetness to it. Gosh they were so delicious! Beware of the charcuterie though, as it did NOT come with cheese. I actually sent it back because the whole point of why I ordered it is because I am a cheese connoisseur. The waiter switched the charcuterie meat platter and brought over an actual cheese platter with Brie, other cheeses, nuts and grapes. For my main course, I ordered the steak and eggs which tasted amazing. They came with potatoes and tomatoes. I ordered my steak medium and eggs overboard. I loved how there was grilled onions that came atop the steak. For dessert, we ordered the Tarte aux Fraises which consisted of strawberries, vanilla cream and basil ice cream. What an interesting experience, when you walk you feel like your about to enter a different world. We sat down and were greeted with a professional manner. As we sat at the table, there were bugs flying around, these ants landed on our food landing in my hair. We had to address to the manager, and they came over and moved us. We sat another table. It was lovely. The menu had to be explained to me cause it's in another language, which is was perfectly fine. It was a beautiful French restaurant. The decor was absolutely adorable. We ordered a few items for dinner and then the food came out in a timely fashion. Our guests were so much fun. We laughed and laughed. It got a little loud at the bar, and then it got a lot a lot louder at the bar. Our food came in, with all the respect the prices on the menu did not reflect, did not reflect the food that was put on the plate. I know that's a different way of eating. I guess I'm not used to something like that but when you pay $53 for a piece of fish and you'll only get maybe 3 ounces and the plate is decorated. I guess that is not for me. What we did order was absolutely delicious, as we were leaving the bar area was so loud and so crowded. I didn't realize that we were walking into a disco club if I had known that, then we would never have gone. The Devonshire cream was perfect with French vanilla beans. I am not over it and just need these shipped to me. Starter salad: smoked salmon with greens in a potato hash basket. We had a hard time finding the restaurant at first once we found street parking but when we located it, it was beautiful! Dimly lit but a candle at our table - this was romantic. I hands down wanted the beef tartare here. I loved the tableside presentation and it tasted very fresh. There were a few items I would try but we ended up splitting a tomahawk steak and sides. Presentation was everything. The server made sure we received sauces to go with our meal as well. There was a hiccup where they sent us the wrong type of spinach but the server let us keep it and came back with the correct item, cream of spinach for us. The meals: the lobster pasta and Artic Char were very good. The wine list is ample but expensive, so we skipped wine. We skipped desert. Our struggled with simple things like pronunciation of the menu itemsNot that it was a big deal, but it's almost like she was questioning herself and therefore struggling to articulate the names of the dishes but also the details of each dish. She did make good recommendations for us, though. I think that was just pure luck though lol. I felt like the service was a bit canned, there was nothing special about it. It seemed like she decided to give a positive recommendation for everything we asked about. I appreciate straightforward honesty when it comes to recommendations from servers. Especially at a place like this where I'm expecting top level service. The food items were great overall. I didn't care for the charcuterie board, but I didn't order it. Someone else in my party did. It was also very small for the price. But that wasn't a shock or anything, especially in this economy. It's just something that I'm noting. The other apps were, steak, tartare prepared table side, and a dozen oysters. The oysters were by far the best app. I gotta say I like the idea of steak tartare, b/c of his cousin the ever so delicious tuna tartare. But I would never order it. Again, someone else at the table ordered that appetizer (it was the man I love y'all ). The entrées were the pasta that they swirl around in the cheese wheel at table side with shaved black truffles, the halibut with vegetables, and the shrimp with risotto. Everybody enjoyed their meals, but we did notice inconsistencies with the cheese wheel pasta! The first portion was amazing. The second portion was OK. And the third portion which was placed into the cheese wheel last had the most oil in the bowl, and the least cheese flavor and presents in the bowl. That third portion of pasta sat there for the longest so it cooled off, and it didn't heat the cheese will properly when it was put inside and swirled around. So they need to work on that. We overheard some confused discussion about who was gonna do what task in the presentation of that cheese when pasta. Maybe if they figured out ahead of time (and not at table side lol) then we wouldn't have had that issue. For dessert we ordered the peanut sponge cake, the chocolate and almond mousse, and the cheesecake. The chocolate almond mousse was by far the star. The other two desserts were beautifully presented, but the flavor configuration didn't do it for us. The ambiance was beautiful as always, but there was no sign of the valet when it was time to leave so we had to grab some one to find the valet and get the car brought around. Chef Daniel Boulud is amazing! Everything I tried was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and at the right temperature. The Tuna tartar was fresh with crunchy chips, the Pate had the perfect texture and paired amazing with all the accoutrements but the star of the show had to be the Filet with Oxtail stuffed cabbage, it was cooked a perfect med rare with a fresh herb sauce on the bottom. Bar drinks were also good, got a margarita and a mezcal Black manhattan. Portions are quite small and food took a little while to arrive. 15-20 mins between courses. Hopefully that smell is temporary. The food was good. Enjoyed everything: foie gras, pate, crusty bread, loup de mer (fish), tomahawk steak, salad (basic but fresh and crisp), potato puree, my white cosmopolitan cocktail, The tomahawk tasted a tinge gamey for me. The truffle cacio pepe was decadent and delicious. We tried the raspberry sorbet meringue, chocolate (lava) cake with pistachio ice cream, something like a Snickers/Twix cake with ice cream. The service was attentive, but we were disappointed that they didn't move us to a larger table to accommodate our large order. I came in on a whim on a Friday morning to enjoy a quiet breakfast after a contemplative walk on the beach. For the uninitiated this is a 1 Michelin-star restaurant owned by Chef Daniel Boulud. I have been eyeing this restaurant for a few years so I took this as an opportunity to scope it out. I sat at a corner table facing some of the beautiful greenery visible through the outside windows. The morning light in the room is wonderful. I was wearing a more casual dress at the time. I did not look out of place but I would say for dinner look presentable. I enjoyed the New Yorker toasted bagel, with smoked salmon, red onion, green olive schmear and sun-dried tomato. Beautifully presented. The real star of my dining experience were the scones with Devonshire cream. Divine. Scones like none I had ever had before. They came out warm and the cream when applied melted beautifully onto the crisp outer surface. I will never have another unwarmed scone again. In fact, all other scones will be compared to these. They set the bar high. The service was top notch. Unobtrusive but attentive. While I was there a food photographer was taking photos of the next seasonal lineup. I got to meet the head chef and the general manager. Both great people. If you choose to come for breakfast on a weekday it is quiet and serene. A group of 5 women vacationing came in while I was finishing up my meal and they were a little more boisterous. I think one day I may come back for lunch or dinner. I do think that this experience was well-worth it. The price is what it is - you are paying for the ambience, service, and the food which is par excellence. When the hostess showed us the table, we sat down and discovered she sat us next to the private dining room where they had a large celebratory party. It was difficult to hear each other. Total flavor explosion! The pate was super heavy. I can't recommend that one. My gf insisted we split the loup de mar grille for dinner - the fish was sea bass. We didn't end up with the sauce we wanted so they gave us a substitute and a free side dish. The fish was okay. I wouldn't rave about it, but the sauce was tasty. The roasted squash side was incredible though! My fiancé and his buddy had the steak. They said it was eh. The service from beginning to end was perfect though. The minute I needed more wine, they were there to pour me some! For dessert my fiancé went with the baked Alaskan, which I think was the best one! I did the tart, which was okay, 6/10. The pastry cream was eh and the tart was basic. I had been wanting to eat here for over two years, so I'm thrilled we finally made it. The service blew me away, so I will definitely be back. They were very Amicable in they offered us a table for 4 for room at my request. And didn't think twice But my wife liked the cozy romantic booth. She was right. On the evening of Saturday Sept. 6th, 2025 we arrived at 5:15 for our 5:30 she preceded to tell us she could not sit us until 5:30. We waited in the lobby area, 5:30 came and went and we again approached her and she once again ignored us. At 5:45 she started seating people she knew. I then decided to approach the Manager Marcial who took it upon himself to sit us down. We have a great and pleasant evening with our server Calvin. Upon paying the check I sought out Marcial to personally thank him for the service and evening. As we left the dining area we walked by the hostess station in order to get to our car and as we passed by she decided to taunt us with her sarcastic comment and tone. "It was sooo nice meeting you tonight. Come back again." At the point we were about 6 Ft past her and I decided I have had enough with this arrogant impolite hostess who clearly has no regard for the position she holds at this fine dining restaurant. I walked inside the restaurant and approached Marcial and once again advised him that I was simply leaving the place and she decided to seek us out with her attitude and her impolite behavior. He was once again apologetic towards me. As Marcial and and I were speaking Liz decided to defiantly walk up where Marcial and I were conversing, basically acting as I don't care what you say as do I can't be touched. Wow! Being local I can assure you that I will refrain from Boulud Sud and Cafe Boulud as clearly their culture is one that I cannot simply condone. We did valet because it is included at no extra cost. Ernst was our waiter and he is amazing, he was checking on us every minute making sure we were good. Excellent customer service. Drinks: I had a bellini, I usually like my bellini's sweeter but other than that it was great. My sisters had lemonade, it was a bit sour so we added more water to it. My dad had a pepperment tea and it was needed. Food: We loved everything we had. My sister and i had an egg benedit and it was delicious, the hollandaise sauce was amazing. My middle sister had the avocado tartine, also amazing and my dad had the mushroom omelette and he also loved it. The white comos is their signature drink. It was beautiful with a frozen orchid floating in the martini glass. I had a 3-course lunch which included this gorgeous plated large portion of salmon with crème fresh and greens. My main plate was a duo of beef, short rib and tenderloin. It came in a truffle sauce and was cooked to perfection. The chocolate dessert with gold leaf was a piece of art and tasted as good as it looked. They have a beautiful outdoor dining courtyard but it was a bit windy the day I dined here. I opted for the dining room which was elegant yet comfortable. read more

First time at Cafe Boulud. Friendly staff. We went to try their Flavor Palm Beach menu. I had the bluefin tuna crudo appetizer. It was good. I had the pan seared bavette steak as my entree. It was very good. The coconut rice from my friend's entree was delicious! She had the crispy florida snapper. It was very good, although she was surprised it was fried (since that was not mentioned on the menu). I had the baked alaska for dessert. It would have been delicious, had there not been an excessive amount of rum poured on top. Every bite had an overwhelming rum taste. My friend had the citrus tart and was not a fan. We both look forward to coming back for brunch and trying more of their menu. Beautiful atmosphere. I had the white cosmopolitan and it was pretty but a bit sweet for my liking (even though I usually like sweet drinks). My friend had some sort of tequila-based drink (that surprisingly came with a miniature popsicle) that she very much enjoyed. I gave 3 stars due to being charged $8 for water. Upon being seated, we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water - we said still.... but it did not come out in a special bottle (not that we expected it to since we thought we were getting regular water) nor were we told we'd be charged for it. If we would have seen it was some sort of special bottled water, we would have turned it away and asked for regular water. They should definitely be more transparent about that. read more

I went to Café Boulud last Wednesday to celebrate an anniversary, hence deciding to try the chef's seasonal tasting menu for 125$ per person. The tasting menu was composed of 6 courses, plus table bread and mini post-dessert pastries. I was disappointed by the appearance of the garden salad on the second course of the tasting menu, which was composed of poorly cut avocados, tomatoes, and mango. I felt as if it really did take away from the whole experience of the tasting menu. Apart from that, all the other dishes were a delight.
